Thank you very much for this clear and concise summary. I’m just about to start this game with a friend of mine and this is incredibly valuable information.
your content is fantastic, been watching since the end of r3, keep it up my dude and thank you for the guides, help a ton every rundown with whichever levels I end up stuck on (d3pe and c3pe this time lol)
Some of the footage is from when R6 was still being tested. That is one of the earlier versions of the scattergun. (I was given permission to use that same footage in my Beginner's Guide video so it's fine to use it here since it's a small portion.)
If a tumor on a birther or tank has 5 health left and you shoot it with the sniper for 40 damage, does it only do 5 damage left to pop the tumor to their total health, or does it still take all 40 damage?
Hello. I know this is a bit of an older video, but I have a question on a subject that I can't really find information about, and I hope that you could help. Thank you very much in advance. On the Bio Scanner, I have encountered very small red dots. Do you know what those are? Some people say it's just a visual bug, and treat them as normal sleepers. Others say that it's not a visual bug, they're enemies that are more sensitive and will wake up faster.
It's a visual bug. I believe there was originally going to be a mechanic where if enemies were at much higher/lower elevations than you they would show up as those tiny red dots. But that concept was scratched and now it's just a visual bug that occurs from time to time.
HELP! my 2 friends and I are struggling on a level where we are first introduced to the spiky boys. We still kill as many as we can stealthy but sometimes they’re really close together. We are all using shotguns and shotgun, turrets for the big waves. But are struggling, any advice?
I'm assuming you're referring to ALT://R1C2 since that's the first R1 level to have Chargers in them. Chargers are quite dangerous up close, so it's safer to deal with them from afar when using your guns. Having shotguns and shotgun sentries can work out, but require you to be quick to the trigger otherwise they'll hit you first. Therefore I would recommend trying to use some mid-long range weapons to more safely deal with them from afar. You can also stealth kill multiple of them in close proximity as a team depending on your melee choices. Sledgehammer and Spear can one shot them to the back with a full charge, but Knife and Bat require more than one hit. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask!
@@ProfessorScaler thank you. We ending up beating the first level with the chargers. It was by far the longest level as well, almost 2 hours. Once we figured out a charged hit to the back it was much easier.
Originally whenever a new rundown was released the previous one would be removed. This was the pattern all the way up to Rundown 7. However the devs have decided they no longer want to do it that way so now all the previous rundowns are returning over time and rundowns will no longer be removed from the game. They're returning as ALT:// versions which are very similar to how they were before, but there are differences here and there. After ALT://R1-6 have returned we'll be getting Rundown 8. (There might be more after R8, but nothing has been confirmed/denied yet.) As for the Sniper Sentry not shooting large type enemies, I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to. If you're wondering why they don't prioritize them, that's because sentries don't prioritize any type of enemy unless the sentry has Bio-Tracker Symbiosis in which case it prioritizes Bio Tracker tagged enemies. If you're talking about them not shooting at them whatsoever, then I'm not sure. Sniper sentries do have a slow rate of fire unless you're using Bio Tracker Symbiosis, so maybe you're positioning them too close to the enemies so they don't have enough time to lock onto them and shoot.
@@ProfessorScaler thanks for all the info, so when will ALR Rundown 2 come Back? I can't seem to find a schedule online.. My Friend will place a sniper turret to shoot Giants while they're sleeping. A large majority of the time it won't shoot at all.The turret won't lock on, from any range or where ever we place it. This seems to only happen with giants.
We don't have any confirmed release dates for the ALT://Rundowns, but I'm hoping to see ALT://R2 release before the end of the year. As for the sentry thing, I'll have to take a look into it. There might be a bug involving them and if so I'll bring it to the attention of the devs.
@@ProfessorScaler def a bug. My burst sentry will lock onto the same enemy immediately as the Sniper turret just will not lock on or fire,It just doesn't see the enemy, Tested it for 10min in a dozen different positions on sleeping giants.
I have a random question because I am new too the Game. Do the Enemy's sense you while your standing or only when your moving? do Scouts wake up everyone in a Room or Do even more enemies spawn when you alerted one?
Enemies won't detect you when you're standing still. (Rotating your body by moving your mouse isn't considered movement btw.) Scouts will wake up every enemy in the room & spawn a wave of about 12 enemies 2 rooms away from you when alerted.
@@ProfessorScaler doesn't that mean a full hammer charge to the back of the head should kill them since the hammer does 20 damage when fully charged? I'm so confused now.

If you know yourself and know your enemy, your teammate will fuck up stealthing and detonate the scout in the room.

D1 is a long one. You got this. Some good friends will make it go by in no time
Your content is great I really like watching your videos, and this video is now my new greatest weapon against what lies down there
Absolutely loved the video also that intro was really cool!
In r7 shadow strikers appear in b2, but there are 2 weapons with thermal scopes and they do see the shadow variations very well

New player here and got stumped with pals on c1. Gotta say you have been a godsend in every sense of the word

@@ProfessorScaler ahh ok
If a tumor on a birther or tank has 5 health left and you shoot it with the sniper for 40 damage, does it only do 5 damage left to pop the tumor to their total health, or does it still take all 40 damage?
Any excess damage on a tumor is wasted, so in that situation the sniper bullet will only do 5 damage.
@@ProfessorScaler I don’t think that info will ever be useful in practice but interesting to know thanks, cheers lol

my buddies attempted R5A2 overload blind and got wiped instantly rofl had no idea what was happening and it was our first encounter with babies

That footage was from an earlier version of Rundown 6 (which I was given permission to publicly use) in which the scattergun was quite different.

What exactly is a occiput
The occiput is the back of the head.
Don't the giant strikers have 240 health?
Negative. They only have 120 health.
@@ProfessorScaler doesn't that mean a full hammer charge to the back of the head should kill them since the hammer does 20 damage when fully charged? I'm so confused now.
Since their occiput damage multiplier is x3, a fully charged hit to the occiput with a sledgehammer would only do 60 damage. (60/120 total health)
What the hell is a occiput
The occiput is the back of the head/skull.
