My go to palette is abh sultry - Iam a neutrals loving girl at heart and sultry goes from light to dramatic and all matte to glam. I even have 2 backups :) And Abh Jacky Aina is my go to fun palette.
I absolutely adore the Jackie Aina palette. I bought it because so many people talked about it in their "best of" videos. I'd have to agree that it is possibly the best palette of 2019. Texture (without non-eye-safe glitter!), color selection, versatility, quality: it's all there.
I might have to agree too! From the packaging, to the formula, to the shade selection, her palette really stood out against all of the (many, many) launches in 2019!
Ditto on Urban Decay Born to Run. It’s one of the few palettes I haven’t depotted. Same with the Colourpop Kathleen Lights Zodiac. For the most part, I use something I made in a Z palette, especially the Viseart Rosé and Warm Edits (both will stand on their own, though), plus a few Colourpop shades to fill in a few gaps. The Jackie Aina color story is wonderful, but I just don’t like the ABH formula. It did take a bit of time on Temptalia, but I was able to dupe it with shadows from the Viseart Grande Pros and Colourpop palettes. The best kept secret in makeup is all of the Colourpop palettes are magnetic. You don't even need a Z palette-just move some shades from palette to palette.
Bailey B Yep! I use a decent size magnetic bag clip, place a tissue over the pan-and pull straight up. Done! I always wanted to have Zodiac and Dream Street in the same palette. For travel, Zodiac is the only 12 pan with a mirror or I'll make a 9-pan in my Just My Luck palette. But the empty palettes are the only way to combine the palette sized pans and rhe singles.

The pallet i own that fits this to a T is the colourpop So Jaded pallet. It has a wide range of colors and all the textures. I love it. And your right, I love being able to do a neutral soft look or a bold oh la la look!

Maybe I need a good primer! Totally with you in the Jackie Aina pallet that one didn’t get the attention it deserves it’s an amazing pallet. I would also add Tati beauty’s pallet in their that one I grab for consistently.
I prefer tiny palettes lately with a single topper (I've been obsessed with hourglass's smoke on top of the kaja stack). I'm still pretty new with eye makeup, so I'm not really dabbling into much color or textures, but I love how fun your looks get and I can't wait until I get to the point where I feel comfortable with playing like you do ❤ until then, I'll just enjoy watching your vids!
Something that I just picked up last week is the Lime Crime Venus 2 XL. Nobody is talking about this and the few that do don't seem to like it. I've been really enjoying it - it can do neutral, but I think it can be taken in so many directions! Maybe it's just me, but give it a look.

I am very fair and cool toned, so I generally look for pallets that include a very pale cream and or white, along with some light neutral taupe and tans. A black or dark charcoal color is nice to line the eye and darken the outer edge of my eye. The Milani Soft and Sultry suits my needs very well and has become a staple. Sadly, Milani seems to have discontinued this pallet. For very dark neutrals and gray shades, I just picked up Colourpop's Blowin Smoke pallet. It is impressive quality. So pigmented and blendable.
Totally agree with the Urban Decay Born to Run. It's sooooo good. It's my go palette for going out. The only fault I would give it is the black is not so black, but It's def worth a buy.
I picked up the rimmel jewel palette when you first recommended it is always in my palette rotation! I would add the larger elf new classics palette and the ND Gold palette 🤗
When I think of my most useful palettes I think about the ones I take on holiday - i.e. if I can only have one palette with me, which one is versatile enough to do a variety of looks. Over the last year or so I have taken either the Urban Decay Born to Run palette or the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette. The latter doesn't have as wide range of mattes, but I wear eyeshadow more at night than day and the range of different coloured textured shades in there is fab.
I'm looking for shades of gray & soft violets. I lean towards cool tones. Any pallet suggestions. I don't do glitter or a lot of sparkle because of my age.
Does MUA still sell that palette? They had some gorgeous palettes a few years back I didn't pick up, but I noticed we're discontined now. I should have picked them up, they looked so pretty. 😁 💜 ND I would choose the Biba palette or the green/brown from her huge palettes. 😁 💜 Where is Viseart on this list? I want to try the new middle eastern releases from them. There is a warmer toned palette that looks amazing! Picking it up this year for sure! 💜 💜

I agree, when a palette has 4 of the same shade in it, I get so mad cause it's like they r trying 2 trick us and they think if they just put those shades far apart, we won't notice. like don't insult our intelligence lol

I've been using Natasha Denona gold or Colourpop going coconuts (most extreme price difference ever?) almost every day. They're both so lovely.

Same. My looks always fade and that's not a common problem for me at all.
I haven't had that issue! Have you tried the Covergirl Lid Lock primer? It's the most budge-proof primer I've ever tried!

My BYS Berries palette, my BYS Peaches palette, my Rimmel Jewel Rocks palette and my Maybelline Lemonade Craze palette.

GretchenVaughn cindiloubindi uses a lot of BYS. 👍🏻 Also Zabrena thinks BYS palettes (peaches and berries) are better than the ABH palettes.

I got the CColor cosmetics version of born to run, the shade selection isn't that great.
But the revlon pallet is the best for travelling. They weigh like close to nothing
I appreciate a palette with versatility but I find that I need a cohesive color range or I get overwhelmed.
That's a great point. A disjointed color scheme can definitely throw things off!
