2020 will be a year where I don't buy makeup if I have others I can use. Using up what I have accumulated and not wasting the money I spent on them is priority
Same! I'm not doing a no-buy, but I'm really going to hold myself to only picking up products that actually look like they are going to do something different for me. I'm done with a bunch of palettes with the same colors rearranged!
Iam with you. I just buy replacements if needed but I allow myself up to 6 want products this year. Like I want to try a cream bronzer and blush and wait for the Hourglass illume sheer trio to come back. Things I can use in my everyday life and that will bring more diversity to my collection.
Hey! Been a fan for a couple years more or less.... and i happen to be early! Just wanna congratulate you on getting up over 100K! I’d been saying in little comments here and there that you were underrated! Now you’re more appropriately rated ☺️👍 love your style 💕✌️😘
Yes, I am decluttering, not just my makeup/skincare but my kitchen and my clothes...Well that is the plan. My kitchen is almost complete along with my makeup and skincare. My needs have changed with both. It will be a process but a plan is in place.
I actually love when I have those realisations about why I won't ever use or like a product or type of product. It makes me feel so free for some reason.
Omg Bailey I'm the same. When I love one I need to have it in every color. End of 2018 i realized this and started to change. Today I sometimes get like that but catch myself. Great job on decluttering and passing along. Love watching you and love your eye look. Green is my fav color 😍😍
Did an inventory of my makeup, bathroom, jewelry, clothing and accessories, well totals are shocking for me -465. And then I started downsizing. Decluttered all categories, sold some stuff. I'm happy I decided to do that. Also collected bag of makeup products to use up in 2020 and it's over 25. Plus I gave myself a budget for the month on makeup spending. It's gonna be interesting year for me😅
Bailey, great video. Got to know what you like and don’t like as you decluttered. I have been eyeing the huda tantour for sometime now. Which shade would you suggest for a medium complexion ? They all look pretty dark
I buy one of each color too. I realize I only like the first color I bought. I had to stop doing that with makeup and clothes. ( Sometimes I still do it with jeans because they are hard to fit)
I think this is a great video. It's motivating to see a guy declutter her makeup. I think I am really done with buying makeup. I have SO much that I haven't even touched yet! I look at my collection and I think of all the places I could have traveled or the things I could have gotten that I really need. I am really hoping to reduce my spending across the board this year. Btw, I absolutely love your eye look!
Thank you so much! I actually just posted a tutorial on IGTV for the eye look :) I totally know what you mean about spending. I had to really think hard about what about makeup makes me happy. I thought it was "collecting it all", but after not buying it for a while, I realized it was really using the spectacular things I already have. And being more intentional with my purchases made the experience more special.
I was always on the hunt for the one holy grail in whatever category. I now have found some very good things and when I want to break my no/low buy rules I go through my collection, swatch some things, look at it, search for looks with certain products and remember myself that I looooooove the things I have. Iam a basic neutrals and light coverage loving girl and thats okay :).
I am definitely the girl that buys multiple shades of things just to try them. I will buy like 10 different shades of lipstick if I like a formula and almost all of them end up going bad! Definitely something I am working on!
Alexandria S have you heard of #projectpan? I have found that the Beauty News ladies are an inspiration for me to use things up. They are doing another year of project pan to get more out of their makeup collections and use up the stuff that’s close to its “best before” date.
Great insight on why you are getting rid of those items. I love my Lorac palettes for nostalgic reasons. Only 3 years ago, I came back to live permanently in the states and there is when I started buying high end makeup, not that Lorac is high end, but thoss were some of the 1st palettes I bought back then. I have Lorac Pro 1,2, and 3, and will depot the shadows I like the most from those palettes so I can keep part of them since they are still good. I will be trying Huda beauty contour. Actually I using that chubby stick from Clinique. I finished an mini chubby contour stick and I loved it, and then, I bought the regular size and I do not like like the mini one, so I am looking for a replacement. I feel the same way about palettes that don't have contrasting colors. They do not inspire me. Great video
Habits I'm breaking: 1) Buying any eyeshadow that isn't in a magnetic palette (but trying not going crazy with Colourpop); 2) Buying a palette without first duping each shade using existing collection (Temptalia dupe finder is the only way to even start to do this-but the new duped Z palette is so satisfying! Especially when I'm using even better quality or preferred formulas.); 3) Not every lipstick shade needs it's a different blush shade; 4) Staying off Poshmark; 5) Quit trying new brow products; 6) Simplify my daily skin care (but sheet mask more); and 7) Only buying Sonia G Sky Face Set for brushes in 2020.
Hey Bailey cool video today..... Love when you drop a new video anyways wanted to tell you ive started watching Bailey Siren thanks to your recomandion and I too am now hooked, very much enjoy her stories, wish she was a little bit more light with the makeup but nevertheless fun to watch 👍 👍 keep new videos comin gf 😘
Thank you so much for watching! And so glad you're enjoying Bailey too. I actually really like how much she applies lol! I think it's because I feel like my face can't handle full glam the way others can, so I love watching other people apply it. Plus, her shadow looks are always so interesting!
Only once did I purchase multiple shades of lipstick and that was only because it was a set of mini Bare Mineral lipsticks. I found I wasn't using the reddish ones so I gave them to my sister-in-law. Other than that I never buy multiple shades of items.
Lorac Pro 1 was my first high end palette in January of 17. Panning it and Lorac Pro 3 this year. I bought a ridiculous amount of lipstick trying to find a cruelty free dupe for Clinique's bullet lipstick in Beauty. My collection of pinky nudes exploded in the effort. Too light/dark. Too frosted. Too mauve. I finally did it with Milani in Dulce Carmello. No new lipsticks this year!
I'm focusing on using what I have too! I still want to try new products that actually look like they're doing something new and different, but I'm going to be WAY more intentional with my purchases.
Is anyone else starting the year with a little declutter?
Bailey B hiiiiiiiii 😋 Yes! I need to ‘Kon Mari’ method my life! 😩😝 happy new year Bailey! ✌️
PS- are you going to review Tati’s textured neutrals palate? I feel like it’d be so pretty on you
De cluttered and telling myself I will not buy any foundation and to use up all that I have.
Yep, I'm planning on picking it up when she restocks this week!
Decluttered the makeup in December and the closet in January.

LOVE your eyelook. Those PF highlighters are such a classic!! Hold onto it for a memory hehehe

Loved you talking about palettes that have more of a variety of looks. Can you do a video of your favorite palettes in terms of versatility?
Oooh I love this idea! Yes, definitely. Thank you!
already put the things i wanna pan this year in my "every day bag" the only problem is that i only wear makeup once a month 😕
Hey, its a start!

I went through and tossed old lipsticks a few days ago :) small declutter but felt good!
Lauren W same

Exactly! Maybe it's because it feels less wasted if I know why I don't like it, and can avoid buying similar things in the future.
Bailey's eye look is absolutely gorgeous today!!!💛
Thank you so much! I actually posted the tutorial for it on Instagram today!

I know, we probably all own that Physicians Formula highlighter! WOW The Nude Tude Palette!

Passing it on........... Happy New Year, Bailey!!!! Haven't been here in a while. Over 100K subbies. And you are looking FINE!
Happy New Year, Denise! Welcome back :) Thanks for watching!

That's another reason why it's so hard to part with those Lorac shadows - they're still so good even all these years later!

I'm looking for a pallet that has shades of gray & soft violets. I haven't found any as yet. Any suggestions?
Jackie Monk There is a Marc Jacobs palette that fits that description. Jen Phelps featured it in her recent 2019 high-end palettes video.
@@GretchenVaughn thank you

all makeup i got is L.A.Color and good morning from berry alabama
Good morning, and thanks for watching, from Dallas, TX!
@@BaileyB you are welcome
My new 2020 goal is to use up all the products and decluter.
I'm focusing on using what I have too! I still want to try new products that actually look like they're doing something new and different, but I'm going to be WAY more intentional with my purchases.
