Now , there are, roughly speaking , two categories of pianists , playing on our modern Instruments , when it comes to Bach . The pianists who do not use the pedal at all , Andras Schiff may be named here , and the pianists who use pedal , including , in all possible modesty , myself. Susanna Braun uses pedalling : but it speaks for her musicianship and stylistic balance , that the pedal never disturbs Bach´s line , it enhances the Sound and lets the notes played bloom .
