What do you mean? If anything, it made me look up to him more. Good job, Dr. Mike. ... Oh, you meant Floyd? I would normally say "Fuck that guy!", but given his history, he'd beat you up after the intercourse.
From the skipping part of that video, you lost me Dr Mike. The isolated drill with the ball is to focus on pushing your opponent with your hands so you can stop the opponent from pressing in the ring and keep distance. The ab work is not full motion as in the ring you need to stay in a certain range of trunk flexion as well. Every exercise is VERY specific for every situation in the ring. This tells me his coaches are actually REALLY good and wasting no range of motion for stuff that is not useful in the ring.
😂 now while I agree and I do box Dr Mike also does compete with Jiu-Jitsu so he is familiar with combat supports overall. It also doesn't mean that he doesn't know the kinesiology behind the sport which is in fact where his doctor degree is from. He doesn't have to understand boxing to understand how to train for it. It sure does help but I'm sure he's figured it out by now. The only thing that I believe you might have to understand with partial reps. Boxers need to be explosive from every specific angle not just the deep angles.
he knows nothing about training for anything sports specific and he's so fucking cocky about it. it's unbearable. Typical bodybuilder meathead behavior. These people who fawn over him think he's so impressive strictly because of his delivery and mastery of the specific vernacular.
Hate him or love him Floyd is one of the most dedicated rich combate athletes ever. The key word is rich because most can’t keep that dedication once they reach the top.
I think a lot of Floyd's training is also structured around him having fights during the evening. So that's why he also trains in the evenings and wakes up later so his body is used to the routine.
you can be awake and not train, nor would you want to wake up close to a fight. better way would be to wake up early and not train until evening. which is why i doubt thats the reason for it.
@jerppazz4525 better way for who? If you're up 8 or 10 hours before your event you aren't going to be tired. I'm sure he structures his day around when he feels best
@@jerppazz4525 it’s probably a part of the reason. If he wakes up at 230, he is likely up until 430-630 if he’s sleeping 8-10 hours. When he fights he’s usually fighting from 1130-1230 time range. I get the premise but he’s likely staying up 4-5 hours after when he would anticipate to fight.
Agree with most of what you say except for the skipping, boxers skip differently. It's about footwork, footspeed and coordination, it's really not about flashy moves and impressing people. Those cross-overs and double unders serve a specific purpose of training footwork. It's a part of the sport-specific training, it's not really about building cardio or fitness (though yes it does some of that too.)
Well people forget what he took before the fight and think he is a clean fighter 😂 people forget how many time Floyd went to the hospital after the hospital to drain out what ever he took 🤔
@@hyggeravn6325 he never said he would fight with a fist ,not to be rude but you gotta pay more attention on this video he's skill is jiu jitsu,it way different fight as a boxing ,I believe Floyd will win in a boxing match with rules but out side the ring it's a whole different story my friend.
What he says about skipping is completely accurate, skipping for footwork is never going to be as specific or transferable as actually boxing. It's no different to soccer players using agility ladders, it looks flashy but at the end of the day it's almost entirely a waste of time.
NO THE FUXK IT DOESNT. TELL ME WHAT SPORT SPECIFIC BOXING TECHNIQUE MOVE THE DOUBLE SKIP JUMP TRIES TO REPLICATE. UTTER HORSESHIT. YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE BETTER FOR FOOTWORK AND MOVEMENT? DOING THE ACTUAL FOOTWORK AND MOVEMENT 😂😂 LIKE SHADOWBOXING, BAG WORK OR SPARRING
Mike, I’ll be down to find random people on the street and give them a speed rope and tell them jump for 15mins doing crossover, double unders, side swings, run and jumps, triple unders…etc.. let’s see if jumping rope is just something anybody can up and do…I jumprope everyday for 30mins to an hour EVERYDAY for years! And I can TELL you the coordination benefits are supreme when it comes to boxing. Being able to move around and control your left and right arms while controlling your left and right legs simultaneously is not as easy as you think. It’s a skill that takes years to master and that’s why boxers do it so much. I’m getting that you’re just mad that you can’t do DU’s and CROSSOVERS
Ummm people in decent shape CAN NOT jump rope for 15 mins straight. You’re out of touch with reality on that one. I jump rope on the regular and 15 mins straight through is murder.💀
Im a chronic skipper. None of my In shape friends can Skip...in general. 15 minutes? Takes months of practice to work yourself there. This guy doesnt have a clue.
He doesn't drink, so partying for him is just staying out late at night. And there were moments when he would run home in his clothes. That's how dedicated he is about training. He's very rich from fighting, but trains like he's poor.
@@LLJR His sleeping might not be on point but he doesn't drink....smoke or take recreational drugs so hanging out at the strip club is very different for him compared to most....
TLDR probably something like: Top tier sports training Better SnC than most athletes (especially at the time) Obviously used gear Maybe could’ve had better fatigue management That’d be my guess as to his assessment
I cant even call this a critique. Floyd has full workouts online. Hitting the heavy bag for 40 mins straight, mitt work 30-40 mins straight, shadow boxing 30-40 mins straight, 9 min sparring rounds with a fresh partner each round(the dog house). All on UA-cam. This showed none of what he actually does. We already know he would run 8 miles at night. This was weak man. Floyds training has always been skill and endurance based. This is common knowledge amongst the fight community. There is a reason the guy doesn't get tired. Dr. And exercise science is cool but floyd is a Dr. In the sweet science of boxing. Again he has FULL training camp videos online. This was a poor representation of his training routine.
I was thinking someof the same things. He selected a obvious hype piece by youtube journalist tht highlights his theatrics nd not his real training. And tjis os coming frm a floyd hater. Ive rooted against him 4 years but ths aint it
Speaking of pathetic, Mayweather's wiki had this nugget "Mayweather also pleaded no contest to two counts of misdemeanor harassment, stemming from threats to his children." 🤮
I would like to see your review of Mike Tyson's training when he was at his peak, unreal calisthenics work along with hours of training every day before his fights.
I did some heavy bag training and went from 16oz gloves to just wraps and now nothing on my hands. Yes you go through a period of your knuckles bleeding, sores and scabs, but also your wrist as well. But after a couple months of proper training and rest I can go to a heavy bag and do 10-15 mins of training without pain or sores. It forces you to better your technique or you’ll constantly get hurt.
But years of hitting a bag especially hard even with good technique throwing thousands of punches a day for years makes your joints pretty beat down after awhile
@@largelampard3721 I mean yeah don’t do it if the person has weak wrists or terrible technique. I get it some people can’t punch a bag without hurting themselves, that’s why you have to properly train your hands/wrists to do that exercise. It helps condition your fists, correct any form deficiency and teaches that person how to properly punch. For my routine I usually go 45mins with 16oz gloves. 10mins of wraps and 10-15mins of bare knuckle training. At that point I’m probably using 60% of my strength and focused on how my hands are connecting to the bag. At that point you’re relying off your muscles to hold your wrists together under force.
I would like to see you break down a sprinter's workout. (100m/200m/400m) One of the things I would like to hear you speak on is their emphasis on the concentric. I have heard Allyson Felix talk about avoiding the eccentric to avoid hypertrophy.
The Eccentric is responsible for creating the most damage to the muscle fibers. By athletes avoiding the eccentric or doing exercises that do not have an eccentric load, you can increase work and therefore work capacity without creating unnecessary extra damage. Pushing and pulling a sled is an example of this.
He would see an olympic sprinter doing a 3x body weight quarter squat and say “zero because that is not full rom” not realizing not everybody trains to maximize hypertrophy. Or see them doing fast eccentrics and say something like “slow down the eccentric portion” or some dumb shit
@@notreallyzekai3474 This is silly. Its even more important for performance athletes to train full ROM then for aesthetic athletes. And yes those same athletes would benefit from a controlled eccentric as well, as long as their concentric remains explosive.
That "white" guy he was boxing is Canelo Alvarez - Mexican. He also trains a lot. Can you review his training? He's currently one of the P4P boxers, definitely the most lucrative
Very correct and I also do not think you need full range to develop the muscle just to add to this. Full range put a lot of the movement into the shoulder and tri’s. I do not agree with Dr Mike on this one
Dr. Mike is saying that Mayweather is an elite athlete, so most of his punching endurance is already coming from his crazy boxing routine. He already maxed out his gains from years of half pushups. Adding more half pushups (1000+) won't increase his endurance and strength gains anymore. It just makes him more efficient at half pushups. Weighted pushups, proper form, varied styles of pushups, or going harder at boxing endurance workouts would move the needle more than 1000+ pushups.
The person who made that video you were reacting to had no idea what they were talking about in terms of Floyd's power. Floyd was known as a high action power puncher in the first half of his career (at 130 and 135), he had close to a 90% KO rate through his first 30 fights, what happened was Floyd jumped up in weight and at 147 and 154 he was fighting opponents that weighed 20-30 lbs more than him, thats why he stopped KOing his opponents, it's because they were way bigger than him. The hand breaks for sure played a role but the biggest factor was that, like most fighters, Floyd's power lessened as he moved up in weight, but the biggest factor was that Floyd didn't cut weight so he would weigh in at 147 and was still 147 the day of the fight, while his opponents would weigh in at 147 or 154 and the next day would be 175 which made Floyd completely changed the way that he fought and become much more defensive because he was so much smaller than his opponents
Stop LYING he did not fight fighters way bigger than him. He was to scared to lose. Even though he LOST the first fight to Castillo. They stole the fight. He did win the second fight against Castillo
@@richardcourtney1424 how is anything I said a lie? I never brought up any losses or wins, that's not the point of the comment. Secondly yes he lost the first Castillo fight, who cares, that happens in boxing. It was much more impressive that he didn't cut weight at 147 and 154 and still was beating guys 20 lbs heavier than him
@@richardcourtney1424 you're mistaken - virtually all of Mayweather's opponents after 2009 outweighed him with the exception of Marquez and Pac Man. Canelo was 170lbs on fight night, Mayweather 150lbs. Maidana was 165lbs during their fight.
Another factor to that is that Floyd's hands were apparently quite fragile and are prone to breaking - an apparent Mayweather family curse from what I hear. So on top of the weight jump and having to deal with weight bullies there's that.
I'd love to see Dr. Mike analyze Tom Platz's training videos (I'd probably join the member section for that, and to help Dr. Mike with his Lambo collection)
14:45 rope skipping is very important in boxing. It develops good rhythm and the more complicated the drill, the more it trains your hand eye/full body coordination.
@awerawer0708people like you who know nothing about boxing talk a lot of crap. Jump rope builds stamina, explosiveness in the legs, good rhythm which you can't just get from only boxing. It's a part of conditioning which is what steroid headed mikey was originally reviewing before going off topic about Floyd personal past so please stick to lifting weights and stay in your lane as a delusional bodybuilder
@@awerawer0708 is that your comeback? Well anyone who reads this thread will have a good laugh at your stupidity. Not like bodybuilders had any sense to begin with.
@@markpozsar5785 Mr pump reps half assed, too fast, cheating the motion, everything is 3 sets of 10-12 repetitions, does a bro split no doubt he is a God in the Olympia, but it's just genetics and gear, but his training is ass
@benjamindavis2475 yeah, youre not jay cutler! Shocker. Theres a reaspn why he was one of the best of all time. Even with suboptimal training reaching his level. With genetics that good that 50 lbs figure doesnt sound that unreal.
Exactly. Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan, Greg LeMond, and probably Ty Cobb back in the day. These guys are the extreme outliers, the theory and practice that applies to the other 8+ billion people on the planet doesn't apply to them in the same way.
I dislike Floyd myself but I wouldn't ever critique his training methods because I mean look at his accomplishments. I'm a boxer myself and I wouldn't stand a chance.
In Floyd's defense (and mine, since you alluded to boxing fans not knowing s***) he was just f'ing around when he was doing bicycle kicks on his way up during the pull up. Saying he's "small" and that's why he can't punch hard doesn't make sense, people in the 130-154 pound weight classes (the weights Floyd fought at) knock each other out all the time. You missed the main parts that makes Floyd Mayweather Floyd Mayweather in terms of his training. Examples: Hitting the heavy bag for 2 hours straight, only stopping to drink water. Sparring 15-20 four min rounds with multiple sparring partners. I've also heard that he would spar without having rounds or stopping.
Yeah this video shows that while Dr Mike is an expert on bodybuilding that does _not_ make him an expert on boxing. The doc has some experience with BJJ but that's a hobby of his, he's not a competitor, and it's a very different sport to boxing anyway
I'm neither a doctor, nor a Mike. But here's some political geography facts: - Russia is freaking huge, yet those assholes apparently still not satisfied. - Dr. Mike is Russian, but moved to the USA at a young age (according to himself). - Older countries have very jagged borders, usually defined by their natural terrain (rivers, mountain ranges, lakes) because it made territorial invasions harder, whereas newer ones (incl. US states) have a lot of straight borders that were drawn on a map upon division (geographical features would still be used when it made too much sense or if wars between the neighbours resulted in territorial gains). - Chad is Chad-shaped (this is more of a meme fact though) - Italy is boot-shaoed - Romania is fish-shaped - Austria looks like a stingray - Tajikistan is deer-shaped - Croatia is trying to eat up Bosnia & Herzegovina - Senegal is almost finished with eating Gambia - Nordic countries are fun: Sweden + Finland look like a flacid cock (Sweden) + scrotum (Finland), Norway + Sweden look like an ejaculating cock + balls, the Fennoscandian Peninsula looks like a dog
9:33 there is no much carryover from pushing to punching. Punching is an explosive, unilateral, transverse plane, full-body movement. You need hip rotators (glutes, addictors, abductors) and spine rotators (mostly lats) for that.
there is plenty of "carryover" depending on the limiting factor in the punch and the prioritization. Tremendous volume of pushing over the skill of punching is ridiculous, but you can do the skill and include some supplementary training to help improve the parts the skill cannot. He should not only bench press to get better at boxing, but he definitely should not do randomly large yet oddly specific numbers of a press as this would be likelier to cause him to regress due to fatigue and injury.
@@zacharylaschoberbenching doesn't help at all. Push ups can be helpful because of scapula protraction and bracing, but far less that is commonly assumed. Landmine presses, medballs throws, hammers, clubbells, maces.
@@nikolaisalikov1257 plenty of exercises which are better than the bench, agreed, but again dismissing the idea of a bench being useless without context isn't correct. Some proper ballistics are great for this, but getting a stable and easily progressed exercise where you remove other limiting factors is wonderful for athletes out of season.
@@zacharylaschober Even most of weightlifters do not bench. Not because bench is useless, but because it's actively harmful for overhead athletes. For the same reason throwers (boxers are throwers by the way) do not bench too. If you are interested, you can for example check Eric Cressey, who is New York Yankees' director of health and player performance. And once again: throwing/punching is an EXPLOSIVE UNILATERAL FULL-BODY ROTATIONAL pattern, which has little to do with BILATERAL UPPER BODY PUSHING. Yes, upper body pushing strength can help to some extent, but not much. Do you know why pecs and triceps do not get tired in boxing fights? Because they do not work much.
Dr. Mike I disagree with your criticism about range of motion, Floyd seems to be pushing medicine balls and doing push ups in the range of motion where his punches would land - please explain the point of dropping deep into the push-up to reach failure if the person's goal is to throw hundreds of punches at an extended position?? Is full range of motion really better than training in the applicable range of motion? I'd like to add that Floyd had to make a particular weight and can't afford unnecessary muscle that he won't use during a fight, because in my opinion it would just add unnecessary weight and burn more energy.
@@ddwfw I asked Mike a question because I saw logic in Mayweather's training, being inquisitive is not the same as disagreeing - you just presume to know more than others, and calling someone confused when they are asking a question is certainly not a compliment, just very unhelpful. Mike also changes his stance and shares alternative philosophies because he is a scientist. According to 'International Journal of Strength and Conditioning' by M Wolf (2023), fROM and pROM has become a subject of debate in recent years, and their conclusion was that fROM is a good default, but athletes may benefit highly from ROM of the outcome of interest, the article also suggested that doing both is effective - therefore my question is most valid when directed at a sports scientist, and you are merely shutting down debate with self-righteous ego

Dr. Mike can you critique the workouts of swimmers. I mean so-called dryland workouts, there are many videos and interviews about Michael Phelps, Dressel, etc
For all of the scientists that speak about circadian rhythm, not a single one of them gives decent and thoughtful advice to people who work the graveyardshift. I work for the city of New York and I work from 8 PM until 6:30 AM - so. So getting eight hours of sleep is waking up at around 2 PM So what is your educated advice? As an expert in health and exercise, science for those of us will keep the city running like construction workers and nurses. And police officers
You can buy blackout curtains. Keep your phone on do not disturb and try and limit stimulation. If you’re tired then you should be able to sleep a normal amount if you try and create an artificial “bedtime” environment. I’m a night shift nurse and I generally feel okay with the backwards schedule. I know apparently studies say that it’s really bad for you in the long run, but I also think that it depends a bit on the person. If you can handle the schedule, okay, but if you really can’t and it’s throwing you out of whack, then you might have to try and change your work schedule in some way if possible.
I appreciate both of your input - and I already DO have Blackout curtains & have removed light stimuli from my sleeping environment- even bought & installed acoustic dampeners. I have continually asked on May forms to the people making the videos like this one, where they mention the detriments of sleeping with the reverse schedule of the circadian rhythm & they completely ignore the question. Maybe @DrMikeIsretel* will make a video about strategies for night shift workers???
@@shaneebujarski5176 I know Dr Mike said theres negatives, but ive also looked this up and its not definitive, a lot of the reported downsides come from the fact that late sleepers tend to get less overall sleep, less sunshine, less exercise, and also dont function with the rest of society which could lead to them feeling isolated. As long as you control these things you should be fine.
@@shaneebujarski5176 I'm not an expert but from what I've heard, keeping your sleep time consistent and getting enough of it uninterrupted are most important. The time of day has some impact, but the bigger problem would be if you allow your daytime sleep to get interrupted often, or if you need to switch back and forth between day shifts and night shifts often so your body can't get into a rhythm with it. Along with the blackout curtains, another thing you can do to reinforce the rhythm is go outside immediately after waking, go on a walk in the sunlight.
Bro one thing to touch on is the skipping, if you watch his skipping compilations, you can tell he has the skill of skipping maxed out. One of the best skipping endurance and skill wise. As a boxer I can skip for days but skipping is about changing levels, up and down the speed and the way he uses skipping skills with changing pace + ankle weights, it's really not easy.
Wow, the amount of men that believed in web articles about a person and the situation without knowing the context of the situation is astounding. Dr. Mike, while have intense respect for you and absolutely agree with Floyd being a total dick for hitting women, Floyd could easily and I mean easily knock you out. You need to research his history.
DV aside… everyone thinks they could take Floyds punch because they think he’s only good at ducking, but before he was Money Mayweather, he was Pretty Boy, and Pretty Boy was a killer.
He’s not good at ‘ducking’ he’s an all around defensive genius. But Pretty Boy was a master volume and accurate puncher. But Floyd doesn’t hit hard per se, he could easily knock me out but his hands have gotten so brittle over the years that he might actually hurt himself trying to knock out someone like Dr.Mike for example. Idk I might be talking out my ass I’m gonna go take a Prozac now.
@@halffruit9245 when I said ‘everyone,’ I was mostly referring to casuals who think his record is cherry picked. He’s a solid puncher, not a hard puncher. It ain’t about the force of his blows, but the speed, precision, and timing. He knows where to hit and when to hit them for maximum impact. Plus, he also has the hand speed to exploit any opportunity he sees. Pinpoint blows to the chin or temple can knockout anyone, no matter how thick your neck is. Mike may know how to defend himself but tough guys only get hurt in the ring. I learned that the hard way with my own body.
@halffruit9245 You could be right about his hands but I haven't seen any evidence of this. Boxers are taught not to hit the heavy bag every day as it will damage the hands. Floyd has taken care of himself probably the best of all time for a champion who has fought as much as he has.

What Floyd did was poor but stick to the point or start a domestic violence channel. Additionally the scenario about meeting him in the streets wouldn’t happen because Floyd is rich and doesn’t hang around people like this.
I seem to remember in the PreFight Documentaries that Floyd's kids seems to like their Pop and would cheer for him at his fights, he can't be all bad, so I would be careful about gossiping about someone without knowing the full story....takes two-to-tango, "he who is without sin throwing stones" and all that......

13:47 an issue we can get in youth climbers from certain training programming is injury to the epiphyseal plates of the hands. While climbers are often attentive to injuries to the hand, and we can begin some programming for more appropriate load and volume to the fingers, I expect with boxing there could be repeated stress to growing bone which presents as general discomfort from punching and is therefore not attended to. Could make him more susceptible to stress fractures in the metacarpals or similar, but more susceptible compared to another professional boxer meaning simply some slight attention to this in the programming than a need to box in a different manner. He has a movement pattern which works for him, and no reason to alter this if successful.

If anyone is trying this, don't.

(100m/200m/400m)
One of the things I would like to hear you speak on is their emphasis on the concentric. I have heard Allyson Felix talk about avoiding the eccentric to avoid hypertrophy.
Also sprint cyclists. Those guys are built like tanks yet they can sustain huge power outputs for a really long time
The Eccentric is responsible for creating the most damage to the muscle fibers. By athletes avoiding the eccentric or doing exercises that do not have an eccentric load, you can increase work and therefore work capacity without creating unnecessary extra damage. Pushing and pulling a sled is an example of this.
This all makes sense, honestly.

Never was a power puncher? Look up the pretty boy Floyd era.
NAME the guys that were 20lbs. Heavier@@trinidad510

- Chad is Chad-shaped (this is more of a meme fact though)
- Italy is boot-shaoed
- Romania is fish-shaped
- Austria looks like a stingray
- Tajikistan is deer-shaped
- Croatia is trying to eat up Bosnia & Herzegovina
- Senegal is almost finished with eating Gambia
- Nordic countries are fun: Sweden + Finland look like a flacid cock (Sweden) + scrotum (Finland), Norway + Sweden look like an ejaculating cock + balls, the Fennoscandian Peninsula looks like a dog
9:33 there is no much carryover from pushing to punching. Punching is an explosive, unilateral, transverse plane, full-body movement. You need hip rotators (glutes, addictors, abductors) and spine rotators (mostly lats) for that.
I think it is better than 1381 push ups tho 😂
there is plenty of "carryover" depending on the limiting factor in the punch and the prioritization.

If thats the time u work then there is nothing u can do. Best thing is get 6-8 hrs of sleep, eat well and exercise well
You can buy blackout curtains.

Could you give context? Thought it was well known he likes beating women
I mean he literally pleaded guilty? And went to jail for another charge?
They already disliked him before hand. The bias was already there, ANY information ( true or false) was just ammunition for their personal hatred.
@@TheBanana202 pleading guilty while going against a white female judge is like a no brianer! Of crushed she is a feminist and can’t stand any male of the likes of a Floyd maywether type.
@@TheBanana202 and yet you still do not know the context whatsoever, a huge majority of people who plead guilty in any form of court, are innocent, but they plead guilty to a lesser charge, for a multitude of different reasons. The judicial system is a crooked. Modern women, especially in America, are notorious, for getting men arrested, and convicted, on false domestic violence allegations.

Nobody trained as hard as floyd which is why he went undefeated
@@MARZOSIRUS There’s actually been a ton of articles about this, people called this the Mayweather curse. Floyd’s father also had the same brittle hands as Floyd I would post a link but I’ve been chronically sleep deprived. But just look up Floyd Mayweather brittle hands and you’ll get the answers your looking for. And his hands aren’t because he didn’t train them properly it’s just a genetic propensity for having brittle hands.
an actual boxing comment. funny its a training video but everyone makes it about his outside the ring mess. Only Floyd gets it to this level but several fighters have done the same if not worse.
Floyd mentality and work ethic is elite HARD WORK / DEDICATION!
Crazy how he says it’s all love in the beginning but in the same breath tries to go for a low blow and talk the most absolute shit about this man
Yeah, I don't get this guy! His really talking shit!!

@@mackiesncheese it was right there I didn’t miss a thing then again those all could be accusations
This is kind of sad. A Doctor who says he’s critiquing a man’s training goes into his personal life. Let’s be honest the good doctor is full of peds and the dirty laundry he has is not broadcasted because he hasn’t been successful as an Olympian, champion and HOFer.

The only thing you can learn from this dude in this video is how to take steroids and witch brand is better .I haven't came across another channel whith so many nonsense, thrash,or stolen content .
facts
floyds training is great. and i disagree with mike about us athletes not doing cardio etc.. its about discipline and it does make a huge difference. i wouldnt expect a bodybuilder who sits on machines all the time and walks on a stairmaster for 10 mins to understand!!! walk a mile in our shoes first!
Train the deep water program and tell me you don't gain discipline. Bodybuilders are probably more disciplined than most athletes. Also, the discipline thing comes from competition in general. Athletic competition is but a single type of competition.
LMFAOOOOOOOO @@tballa8750

These type of push ups are pretty commonplace in boxing, you’re usually throwing punches from the range of motion so you want to be explosive from that point of the push up
I liked your content and was about to buy a program but not now!
Do you understand why he’s doing these pushups ?
He just doesnt like Floyd lol he was going to diss him no matter what
Well do you care to enlighten us..?
5:42 i hope u kept that same energy for dana white, who beatvhisbwife on camera in public
Chest doesn't need to touch the ground for a push up. Totally dependent on arm length to ribcage thickness ratio
I know and respect the fact that you’re very knowledgeable in exercising and stuff but is it right to say that Floyd is doing his workouts wrong when they’ve worked for him and he’s become possible the GOAT of boxing because of them? For example waking up at 2:30 pm or doing a lot of pushups
yeah i think this is silly too. he's coming at it like a bodybuilder or building muscle or something. talking about 4-6 rep range is best lol.
Damn Dr. Kingpin, maybe if Floyd had you manning his exercises he wouldnt have had such an underwhelming career
Well, a mechanic analyzing how a surgeon does surgery
FACTS!!!
I respect the knowledge. But critiquing a professional fighters training, especially one who's successful, is comical. Unless coach has fought professionally for a living. I think his opinion holds no merrit here.
Floyd has had hand problems. Before one of his fights, he had cameras follow him to the doctor, and he had regular treatments for damage to his hands.
I think he has brain problems.
Damn, those girls had some hard heads
You can’t talk common sense to trolls like Dr. Mike
You should review esports training. Would be interesting to hear your ideas about their training.
It’s HILARIOUS how respectful he was to Floyd at first then heard about his history and was like “NAH, I’d win” 💀😂

Lol fr hate to see bodybuilders critique boxers when boxing is way harder than lifting. Most these boxers aren’t doing exercises to get the “full rom” they just burning out the muscle as much as they can for endurance purposes. Those pushups are called shorties, it seems thats what alot of prisoners use in their workouts and ive heard someone say they’re for fast twitch fibers. I alternate between them and full rom, i look at shorties as being more for muscular endurance and explosiveness under tension
Im not a fan of MayW.. but sorrry what ever he did for his boxing workouts.. worked very well.. so this video is useless😂😂😂
