Have you had any luck growing SPS in the evo under the stock lighting? I've heard you can get away with it if you put them right near the top in the center of the tank, but I'm not sure how colourful they'd be.
The stock light is no good for SPS, if you put any in at the top there would be no room to grow anyway! I have this tank and upgraded the light to a Kessil 160we.
Is that every thing that comes with it or did u buy separate parts to have such a beautiful tank? Cuz I am wanting to do something like that but I cant offers much for I am 14

Awesome tank and really interested in getting into the hobby. How long does it take to cycle the tank with live sand and dry rock? Is there a rough cost breakdown in $CAD for everything to be set up (Including some livestock) for this tank?
I'm in my first week of the cycle ammonia went up came down some ..had nitrite go up nitrate are up should I wait for ammonia and nitrite go down???? Or should I do a water change ???? Not sure .....or just leave it and let it cycle then do water change after it cycles.
A real light, the one the tank comes with is garbage. Pay close attention to videos of this tank looking amazing, you will notice they don’t use the light it comes with.
That depends on the coral you plan to keep, for soft and lps it's more than enough and even good enough for some easy sps like monti cap and birdsnest, I know first hand had this tank before I have a 75 gallon now check it out sometime.
fragbox corals sand moves. Either by water flow or creatures. If it moves enough to cause the rock to fall then you risk it cracking the glass. Whilst I’ll admit the risk is slim it can be avoided by simply placing the rock first. In a hobby where we often use redundancy to ensure we minimise anything going wrong this simple change seems obvious.

you can keep montipora with the stock light
Canadian Infidel the par levels on the Fluval 13.5 support SPS in the upper half
going to set up a new fluval with everything stock to really show off what these things are capable of

the problem is, the light is not enough for this tank. number 1 thing that needs to be upgraded in this tank is the light.

The only negative about this tank is it is too small for many fish.
rockwork on top of sand is pretty poor advice. otherwise decent video!
