video was just what i was looking for - I'd already taken the grub screw out & given the handle a few taps with a small hammer but it wasnt budging so I came to youtube for advice - clearly its one of "those" where the handle has been in place for decades
The problem I am having with my Haron puller is that the puller screw will not stay centred on the top of the tap spindle, and as soon as I tighten, it slips off to the side.
The tap handle is not the difficult part to remove. It's the tap headgear and spindle that is the one that is near impossible to remove on those old taps. A normal adjustable spanner is not working for me and that spindle gets in the way of being able to use a universal gator attachment for my power tool.
Graham Downs In the I had to use the wall to wedge the grips against and use a heavier adjustable spanner. That did the job of un screwing the headgear.

Hello David, Have you had a look at our Easytapsplitter? videos on youtube how to sort tight headgear as well.

I think its time for a new tap
The second tool will damage the chrome where it locks over the handle bobs 🙁
Shows what you know David. Talking rubbish I'm afraid.
