I would LOVE to be able to go camping. I am a Disabled Desert Storm Veteran and the wife and I actually got married at a huge camp ground in our area. The problem is getting up. I tried putting a fold out camping bed in our tent but the way the walls were it did not work. We had Teton sports XL cots, while they were very comfortable they were too low to the ground so we ended up getting rid of those. We haven't been camping since because we have not found a set up that works. A trailer is an option but usually really expensive and more gas.
If you are car camping and not worried about the weight a cabin tent with straight walls and a swing out door would probably work for you . I believe Coleman makes several different versions in multiple sizes and I've seen similar tents from other companies
We bought our CTC with electrical, windows door placement &8000 & had a bed & counter built inside…way less than cheap travel trailers. You can buy new empty cargo trailers for $2500 (or less in States) & convert them yourselves. It tows easily.
I was solo hiking in Arkansas, ran into bigfoot, that's how i got the idea to produce the Kiamichi beast expedition movie now its on tubitv. so you know i made it out alive.
Finally, you got the better half in the vids!! I am 100% positive that after this video you were asking yourselves, do you think it's cheesy? Who knows how much ended up on the editing floor. 😆 LOL You are great, keep it rolling and do a bloopers reel.
Hey Justin, thanks for the rec on that Fire Cube portable fire pit. I snagged one and used it out this weekend with my 4yo. It was the star of the trip. Smores on demand plus I could turn it off to chase down the kid when I needed to. And while I'm here, thanks for all the great content, love the channel.
Love the car camping vid. I do both car camping and backpacking. It's nice to see both represented on your channel. The nemo roamers are my favourites for sure. They pack half the size of similar mondoking and exped mattresses, making them much easier to transport. I was considering that nemo tent as well, ended up going with the new North Face Wawona 4p tent.
For car camping I’d much rather do a Coleman Sumdome for $80 than the $400 Nemo. I have two Tensors and the Stargazer chair, which aren’t cheap, but for car camping that tent is pricey. Love your videos. You’re one of my favorite UA-camrs. And I love your Decathalon picks and so on. Your recent trip with the drone was awesome. Keep it up!
Great video! I picked up a Roamer pad this week. At $190 on sale at REI right now, it's not too bad for what it is. Can't wait to use it this upcoming weekend. The sleeping bags seem to not be as good value. $300 for a 30 degree synthetic bag is quite a bit...
The roamer is SOLID! I had been thinking the same thing about the sleeping bag but it has a ton of features that I think justify the price. Stay tuned for more details on it!
Awesome car camping gear video! Love seeing these gear load outs as well. Good point on two pads…wish I had thought about that before buying a new double. We just got the Aurora 6P In the mail this week and can’t wait to try this weekend.
How do you like the Aurora Highrise 6p? It looks like the windows clip shut instead of zipping shut. If that's the case do you think it works well, will keep rain & wind out?
@@dougpeterson1236 been on four trips with it now and a couple rains. Held up great with no water inside. I was skeptical about the clip window covers but with the overhang of the rain fly the inside clip covers did a good job. We’ve been very happy with how easy the tent is to put up. Floor is easy to get dirty due to colors but the pattern is kind of neat. Definitely recommend.
I see the Aurora HighRise Tent looks a lot like a North Face Golden Gate tent, have you ever thought about one of those as they're 33% lighter and is only $250? The GG is a 4P tent weighing just over 10 lbs and is a 3 season tent. It's very easy to set up as well. It's my go to when I'm car camping, but prefer something lighter when hiking (obvi)
For the Aurura Highrise, do the windows clip shut or zipper shut? It's hard to tell online but it looks like it clips shut which I think would bother me, though I don't know that it should.
NEMO!!!! I got the Roamer Double recently and we used it for a week and it never lost air and was SO comfy and insulating. Looking at getting the Nemo Aurora 4P too now. How long would you say it takes to set up? I'm also debating the Gazelle T4 but I prefer a traditional tent setup and having some form of vestibule.. (even if its small). The Nemo Wagontop also looks really cool but a bit trickier to set up?
Debating this tent or the rei base camp 6. I ended yp getting the base canp but i have rei membership so im debating on returning. Any reccomendations anyone?
Nice to see a "backpacker" mix it up a little a talk car camping. Plus Ive seen that water jug on other channels lately but I do not remember them mentioning, at all, that little clip that turns it into a shower head.
Justin buddy... I love your videos but you gotta turn it down with these thumbnails. The expressions are so silly I don't want to watch the video. Still love your videos tho.
Top new Comment you MUST READ in 2022! @justin I really enjoy your content and videos, but the way you've been naming your videos lately is kinda obnoxious to me. Anyone else here thinking the same thing, or is it just me?
It's the dirty work one has to do to appease the almighty algorithm. I hate that it has to be that way, just like big funny faces in all the thumbnails now, it's what data says is most effective for driving clicks and views.
Yeah I'm pretty sure someone is teaching this stuff in order to drive views. But I'm so tired of seeing these methods everywhere on UA-cam that I've now actively started to avoid watching them to discourage the trend, haha. I do think it's a bit insulting to your subscribers to use this kind of clickbait, but I guess if you mainly want new viewers it works. Maybe YT should allow creators to display different titles to subscribers vs others.
Just got the Aurora High Rise 6P for 2 people plus 4 dogs!

You could try propping up the cot with some milk crates!
Or maybe use bed risers. They're cheap and light and designed to take the weight of a bed.
How were you disabled?

Killing it Justin! Happy to see you doing UA-cam fun time! Awesome content, will watch 3 more times
I like ozark trail loveseat because i feel its comfy and good.☺️

More like us bickering because we filmed before dinner! "Just sit naturally!" "I AM SITTING NATURALLY!"

FYI the 4p Aurora tent is on sale for $299 at REI during their current sale. Wahoo! Fun gear video, Justin. Thanks so much. 😎
UPDATE: that sale is now over…back to $399. 🫤

The pack size of the Roamer is a big benefit!
Hey do you have a link for the water containers i didn't see one.
Love this. I was curious about the roamer as I car camp often with my family.. thanks again for all you share with us!
Wow, Ozark Trail getting a shout out. Never would've thought! Haha.
Great video, Justin - I love those pads!😍

There any more info on how you connected the two bags? I’d love to do this, but at a glance it’s not obvious how. Thanks! 5:04
it's just a zipper
Great video man 🤙🏻

Thanks! Glad you're liking it!
If you go with the silicone collapsible bowls & mugs and use them daily as a full timer does, expect to replace them every 6 to 12 months
Lightweight but as a car camper, I’m a stainless steel convert for longevity. Our boarding school had the same SS trays for 100 years.
Can’t beat the MSR stackable SS bowls for families.
And the flat stack of 5 sporks by Tapirus. SS will pass on to my kids’ kids.
And being SS they are dishwasher friendly.👌
I really wish you the best. You do such a great job!! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video mate!! highly enjoyed this one 🤙🔥
I like ozark trail loveseat because i feel its comfy and good.
Surely you have a game of Chess on your camping must haves! haha great video guys! :)
Was there ever an update on this? He said about another video updating after some usage.
Love the car camping stuff!
Great review ! You do a awesome job explaining. Thanks
I bought the Nemo 4p for my kids to sleep in during our camping trips. It’s such a wonderful tent, and spacious enough for our 4 kids!
Love these car campinng videos!
That's a pretty baller tent / sleep system combo. Room for one more? haha
Love that pad, but i am not able to find one with the lenght of 178cm. May I ask where you did find it?
I got the length wrong. it's 198cm
@@JustinOutdoors that's a shame. I was so exited about the 178cm 😅
If you're going car camping, just bring your pillow from home since size and weight aren't an issue.
That's what is happening next time! Wanted to test out the Fillo King though
@@JustinOutdoors I get it it's your job to test these products out, I quite like the trekology pillow, that is acceptable as a pillow
Not in to car camping but I like that chair and the fire cube

What do you recommend for a good affordable puffy pant ?
Naturehike or something off Aliexpress
I bet my cot and mattress is more comfortable at a fraction the cost of the nemo gear
New sub ! Liked 👍🤩
Sleeping system sounds perfect, but that price is probably more than a normal dude like me can put out.
Debating this tent or the rei base camp 6. I ended yp getting the base canp but i have rei membership so im debating on returning. Any reccomendations anyone?
Cool gear but it’s way better that your making videos with Steph now. When’s the mini Justin camping trips coming 😂 . 🏴
What’s with the prices in US dollars only?????
50+% of my audience is in the US and USD is probably the most understood currency in the world.
Dude I'm the cribbage champ lol love that game, no one I know plays
I tough I was listening to an info pub, it s I
Ok if you need money but I m not gonna loose my time here.
The best tent is the coleman 4 person pop up for 100 bucks
New kicks? Look a lot like Hokas
I spit out my coffee when I heard "snuggley", lol.
Nice to see a "backpacker" mix it up a little a talk car camping. Plus Ive seen that water jug on other channels lately but I do not remember them mentioning, at all, that little clip that turns it into a shower head.
Dude don't do that, I want to save some money 😁
