It's always good to come home to a new episode of the Daytona, it's good to see it coming together slowly. Good tip to clean the threads, never really thought about it :D. I am sure you cleaned the new discs from the protective oil film, some people miss that bit and can clog up the new pads straight away.

It’s coming together slowly. It’s actually waiting right now, but I have quite a few videos left to edit :)
I didn’t clean the film. There’s still some time left till it’ll be on the road so it’s best to leave it on :)

Hey love the videos. Can you remember if the front rotors had an offset?

Superb video Vlad, you must have spent a small fortune on tools to work on the various bikes!. I rode the older Daytona 1200 for a while, superb bikes.

Hey John! Thank you for your kind comment! Trying to improve things as I move along. Yes, Triumph are good bikes :D
      I have spent a fair bit I suppose, but there’s a lot more that I’d like 😁 Don’t tell the wife 😉

@@garage_tales trick i learned from a hobby shop employee , when he sells expensive RC cars to guys he always offers to throw the box away and tells the customer to go rub some dirt on it before taking it home so that it blends in with the other toys.

@@onetrues3978 My father used to do that whenever he bought a new tool. Trying to blend it in and claim it was around for ages. My wife’s too clever for that though :))

Great videos! I’m also refurbishing my t595 1997 model. Did you find on the bearing with the larger seal it didn’t sit flush due to the spacer? Cheers!

Hey Ross. Thank you for your comment and really glad you found them helpful. It’s been a while so I don’t remember exactly, but yes I believe one if the bearings is sitting a bit proud :)

Hi, I follow you on the UA-cam channel and I decided to take a triumph daytona too, I took a 1998 t595 to restore. The bike has an engine that is not its original but comes from another triumph, I don't know if from a 955 like yours, or from a speed triple 955. The engine code is M083887 you can help me understand what bike it really is and what mapping I have to load on the CPU of the bike. Thanks a lot for your help

Hi. Thanks for your comment. I’m sorry, I can’t tell you what bike the engine came off based on the engine number, but if you email the guys at Triumph (after.sales@triumph.co.uk) I’m sure they will clear that for you. They have been very helpful when I needed some info.
Thanks! and hope you get it sorted.
      Vlad
