If we must...in a nutshell we are a couple of weirdos and we looooove having fun doing anything and everything that entertains us! Usually it involves having a good laugh about something! By the way, since you all want to know...we have been married since 2001 and we live in Southern California. We've got 3 amazing grown kids and 5 absolutely adorable grandkids.

I know what this is exactly. We had something similar in our lab. It's a device that attaches to lab equipment to monitor the temperature in a given range. We used them in incubators, freezers, waterbaths, etc. These were usually attached to a computer source to monitor the lab equipment 24/7. If the temperature was out of range, then the computer source would automatically call a lab person to physically come and check on the equipment. This meant if it was in the middle of the night, you have to get up and go into work to check it and possibly move everything out of that appliance into one that is working properly. This would happen with our large freezers sometimes, too. My name was on a few lab equipment appliance lists. These monitors are for quality control to keep the appliance in compliance to maintain the quality of the products in them. For us it was cell culture and reagents. We had clients from all over the world to sell our reagents to, so everything had to be of high quality. So, I would image that those 2 devices you found would be around $1500-$2000 each brand new.
My daughter-in-law used to work for a research company and she would do research on mice for studies on the heart and one time the electricity went out at the lab and she had to hurry up and collect all of ( I imagine those temperature monitors) them before they were ruined. Also all of their data would have been destroyed also. Months and months of work. So yes, those things that Stef found probably does cost a lot of money. Why were they in the dumpster, is my question?
I work in a lab we use them for room temps,humidity,refrigerators and freezer temps. We use a different brand but they only last a couple years for us and we throw them away. They are like car seats expire after a period of time
You find the craziest things in the dumpsters. 😮 Please update us and tell us what you get for those.

Merry Christmas Steven Steph from Easton Pennsylvania where the temp right now is 24. 36 degrees later today and chilly. Thursday and Friday wintry mix then a very sharp dip in the temperature the weekend. Maybe we'll get snow after Christmas 🎄☃️

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but making sure it works and measures properly might be a problem before selling on ebay... those devices typically protect something of value.... alternately sale as parts or non working condition.

Also wanna say thanks for sharing your lives with us still miss the lives you did hopefully you'll be able to bring it back would you ever consider setting up a patreon account then its only ppl who pay a small fee and you could play games give bonus content etc you could even charge $3-5 it would be another income for you too.
