I remember our family going from Melbourne to Broadford by steam train. Having my head out of the window and getting soot in my eye, and also going by a Walker rail motor in the late 50's/early 60's. I thought the Walker looked so modern!
Little Walker looks at home here! I must get up there for a ride, ive not traveled on this like by train, only by trolley many many moons ago. This was the Walker from Nth Willy no? I helped work on it if that's the case, great to see it running.
riding that trolley just to the tunnel got old pretty fast (it used to just be the trolley). when will it actually go further? and more to the point will the healesville line ever get a shuttle service like the stony point one?

Yeah its the 153 from the ARHS museum. Moved to YVR in the mid 2000's and restored to service
Lovely footage. Used to ride in these Rail Motors from Ballarat to Clunes and return in the 60s and 70s to see my grandmother.
Be great when they extend to Yarra Glen in a year or so!😀🚞🛤️🏞️
Absolutely fantastic video and thanks
Love the shot at 2:00, love seeing the mountains in the background.
Great shots there James!
No, the railmotor only runs from Healesville to the tunnel near Tarawarra.
Ok, thanks, mate
Everyone... My videos aren't here for people to have a flamewar. There's plenty of other places you can do that!
