Ok I have a serious question and I hope some one can say something to me: I am a Filipino American attending a DoDEA school in the pacific and I want to study medicine in Cambridge. I don’t know how this application process works but I want to attend and study. I am intimidated at how I will pay for my stay in England and how I will financially support myself studying abroad in a foreign country. I also am intimidated by the fact that you have to be really smart and I am worried that I’m not good enough. I am planning on taking 13 AP classes in high school and am planning on attending Far East events so I can have a fighting chance on attending any college. I am going to be a sophomore next year. I really really want to attend Cambridge and study medicine so I can hopefully progress humanity into a better quality of life. I don’t know if I should attend because I am intimidated by the view that I’m not good enough. So should I apply and hope for the best or should I just give up? Edit: I’m trying on doing volunteer work and dual enrollment classes too so I can look good for college applications.
It is commonplace for UK universities to reject perfect applicants in medicine due to a lack of places. The government supports the training of native UK medical professionals, therefore the places for international students in medicine is extremely limited, but it is possible to get in. It is not my place to tell you wether or not to try. It is certainly hard work, but anyone can do it. Hope this helps!
Hey you said if you want to end up as a lecturer or professor, apply for Cambridge, I know that Cambridge mostly provides academic knowledge, but if I want to get practical knowledge about Finance, it is also the same quality right? By the way thank you for the video, it motivates a lot!
