Super video Ruan . How fast has sew frugal come around , its like 5 minutes since the last one!! A matching luggage set for your mum is a gorgeous idea. I have also fallen down the bag making rabbit hole! That kit looks fabulous, I measure out the pattern pieces on brown parcel paper so they are built to last. The thing that literally drives me bonkers is finding all the hardware in matching metals in the right size. A bag kit is probably much less stressful. ❤

That FABRIC😍 is so beautiful. I haven't made bags for a very long time but I might have to go take a look now! I do know what you mean about buying kits and having them sit there for ages. I did that with cross stitch, smocking and now bras! BUT in my defence, it means I can go back to them at will. I don't have the cross stitch and smocking kits now and because I had built up such a supply (before a cyclone ripped through my house in April 2021), I have made myself a promise to not have so much going forward and that includes the fabric stash - just in case something happens that causes me to lose all these pretty things I didn't get to make. I cannot wait to see the finished bag. It's going to look so stunning!

Wow, great boxes! I think it's a good thing I don't live in the UK. I would go totally broke buying those boxes each month! When I decided to make a fanny pack/bum bag, I bought a large tote bag at a thrift store to cut apart. It had all the hardware I needed. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy, or want to make any sort of bag. This way it cost me about $10. I even used a free pattern. My fanny pack is perfect, and I found out I do enjoy the process. I look forward to seeing your finished bags.

Ruan, I enjoy your videos so much and admire your ability to get so many things completed. I have a bag kit from Grainline Studios for the Field Bag. It's a project bag for my knitting but unfortunately I procrastinated and didn't make it up right away so it's still unmade. I have made a kit from Emmaline Bags for a purse tote (Miss Maggie, free pattern) out of Harris Tweed for a friend and loved the result. I think I am slack when it comes to setting a deadline for things for myself. I look forward to seeing your completed kit. Take care.

I've seen some incredible bags recently and it makes me want to get some put together! The fabrics were beautiful in both boxes and I can't wait for you to make them up and show them. So looking forward to Sew Frugal - I've already got some ideas floating about what I can make. Can't wait 🥰

I've made the noodlehead Range backpack... thats a great ruckack with a rolled over top. You only need a couple of fat quarters for the outer.

Beautiful fabrics! If you just interface all your fabric then cut it out you save time by not having to cut both fabric and interfacing then fusing together. Your interfacing doesn't shrink. I've found it's much easier, but some don't like it. Thanks for sharing your videos.

That chocolate was delicious! My box came so fast that I was surprised how quickly it got to me 😅. I got the white colorway. It’s beautiful. Yep dungarees is what I’m going to make. So excited! Doing the happy dance 😁. Oh a bag would look lovely. I love the postcard. I adore vintage photos. I really like the fabric in the purple box. I think that bag will be amazing 😊. I have the same colourway as you from the sewscription box. It’s not really my colour but my daughter loves it and so I’m going to make an Ava Skirt for her and a bag with the rest. Not sure yet what pattern to use for the bag yet though. Your kit from Jenny is absolutely gorgeous! Happy sewing ❤

I was on the fence with the purple packages but now regret not getting one 😅 oh well! I’ve got the crescent kit from 1st for Fabrics though and need to put that together! Definitely 💯 got the bag buzz but like you, need the time 😂

I missed all the bags kits, I mean, I just blinked once and everything was gone! 😵💫
I did, although I think I will just purchase my hardware (if I need any depending on the size) and make my own for less than half the price
