Hi There, My Friend i have three of these Bad-Boy's...Two are brushless 4300kv..and 3900kv motor's and both have 80amp esc..so no prob's with current draw..lol..and very fast...Here's a little tip on what mod i did to keep the wheel nuts from spinning off...Is i used the Nuts from the shock tower's and used a small washer and fitted them to the wheels ..and then used the wheel nut's to replace the one's on the shock tower's..and since then no more prob's and it's a Free mod...cos' the parts are on the buggy..Give it a try..Great video my Friend.
My 2wd monster slash scared me when I build it, I had a 24t pinion and a 54t spur and oh man did it go lol

You will need a wheelie bar for sure, over 90 kph it wants too flip and that rear wing doesn’t help, got a a959 wing on mine, looking forward too your speed run👍🏻

At 6:35 your wheels look different widths. Have you swapped a front wheel and rear wheel round or it it just the camera angle?

I just finished my 14001 with a cheap 3650 390kv 120amp bushless combo. Using the stock pinion and spir. Fast!!!! Wow. Only had the balls to run 2s so far . It's not as brutal as yours but it gave me butterflies lol
ben you'll love it on 3S, I fitted mod one gears as that gave me a lot more options on the gearing combo
Wltoys should have just called this thing the 206 evolution... on account of it being printed on the side.

So cool! I have one of these, been wanting to swap a hobbywing 35a esc and 4500kv motor to match my Losi Mini 8ight. This car is stupid fast even with just a 17.5 turn brushed motor swap leaving everything else alone. Not bad stock even.

Straight up put 1/10 foams on that beast! Otherwise it will keep blowing tyres no matter what you do. There is nothing rubber that will hold the speed these produce. Some guys just get away with sweep Evo belted slicks but after blowing them I only run foams now. It's definitely got the power just need to find a nice road 👍😁
RC Master love your progression with this car! Couple of questions do you have a link to the little yellow can-am style body you use, and do you have a link to the foams, I've tried my 4tec VXL foams on it but they are comically small on it.
@@DriftomaniacsRC hey not sure what yellow body you mentioned mate, now I'm running just Phat bodies shells for my 144001 builds. In the last video that was a "Piranha" style shell. You may be thinking of the wltoys 12402-a body? It's a yellow kinda can am looking one. Hey now, for lack of better verbiage, the vxl in my 2wd xl5 convert runs incredibly stupid fast, I have set it up with gen3 aluminum and weights..... just to attempt to prevent power flips, that power to weight ratio on that buggy is crazed... can’t wait to see the top speed , it accelerates like a demon already!
Well someone has made me decide to but a SCT motor in my XV01, rip the plastic gears. Apart from that, another amazing video, keep up the good work!

Same as the Tacon RC and LC Racing ( from DMS?) so if you needed and probably should :-) get the longer chassis plate from the SCT/Truggy this helps allot with getting the power down. (you need the longer center drive shaft as well.
Benjamin you have my attention! a longer chassis would also help hugely with the battery situation. I am going to check them out today do you have a specific name I can search on for the sct/truggy chassis. All help MUCH appreciated. Longer chassis will help a lot with the speed
Probably if you set it against a wall and spin the tires on full throttle for 2 seconds you will see the foam inserts (that is if you can keep it down) :)
Hey “Ritchie/Richie” I wanted to ask you about this particular build! Did you ever get a final read on the mph by chance or would this setup be more for shorter quick bursts? I’ve been watching other wltoys 144001 speed run builds and yours is the only one that has a hard time staying on its wheels!!! Haha.. love it.. thank you!!!
I don't think anyone else was mad enough to put this combo in! Huge torque from this setup, bear in mind this same setup will wheelie a stampede 4x4 and push it to 60+ BUT the stampede weighs about 6-7 times this! :-)

How did you change the motor mount?.. the stock one holds the centre drive shaft, so is something else holding your centre drive shaft now?
The brick wall you talk about may actually be your battery.
Remember, a batteries maximum discharge is its capacity in amp hours times the C rating.
So if you have a 1500mah 25C battery 1.5x 25 =37.5amps also the maximum watts will be that figure times the voltage so 1.5x25x11.1 = 416.25 Watts.
If your motors maximum amp draw or power out put exceeds what your battery can deliver then the battery is the limiting factor.
You know if its your ESC cause it will either cut out or catch on fire.
Also most C ratings on batteries with the exception of a few graphine batteries are BS so half the claimed C rating is more of a realistic figure.
andrew I did wonder that and Mr Mad2424 persuaded me to test it (the old version) with much bigger lipo on the outside, and it only hit 3mph faster. As you may know I do a lot of high speed stuff and my first thought was the batteries but mr mad and rc masked were running upto 10mph faster with batteries not that much bigger. We'll see how this goes over the weekend, BUT your input is very much appreciated as what you say does make sense (and I do appreciate the math). It'll run faster with the 40C pack I showed in the video but I just can't get it in under the stock body

I love the videos sir. But may I ask if you've ever considered investing in a lavelier mic? I feel like it would make your videos that much better.
Appreciate the feedback I really do but I've spent over $400 in last year alone on five new Mic's. Including new 4K video camera and mic last week (bit more than $400 alone!). Not ONE cent more being spent on mic's, do bear in mind youtube throttles the bandwidth depending on your connection, and sadly over a mobile it always sounds worse. Seriously I could spend $1k on a mic and someone would mention the sound, so much so I've just given up! Should I spend $1k on a new mic or $1k on new cars? Feedback appreciated but literally I've plowed hundreds into new mics

LC Racing EMB-1 this car is by far a better product and uses quality parts. While it is $185, you will save money money by getting the a well made product form the start. Replacing all of the low quality products on this will end up costing you more in the short term. Why short term ? This vehicle breaks very easy and when adding the power we all want the machining and quality of the these parts will in a short amount of time cost you money and enjoyment. Think if you created a quality product and then a company stole your hard work and then made an inferior product. That’s not who you want to back.
Yeah and traxxas stuff even better but... I am poor and I could buy 4 cars to begin and play with friends, found it on amazon, bought it 59€ on aliexpress, not budget to do that with LC racing or Traxxas. So upgrading one car is really cheaper than buying LC stuff once you have it. And broke nothing in one month: Very robust using it all days 3/4 time per day. Only the tires are almost dead but they did more than 200 Km on dirt. Once you are in love with it and realize it is very durable and all default could be corrected for very low price: the LC racing is no more interesting.

I was exicted when i got this car but the fact you cant even get the stupid freaking micro bearings for the hubs anywhere exept from wltoys themselves or aliexpress for months tried getting the emb racing spindles who use standard size bearings all sold out they never have restock since a month a great car but parts such as bearings hurts my head i quess my place is with brand name rcs and not the chinesse cheapos great cars but if banggood doesnt have essensial parts of the car..
