Idk how i haven't seen someone tie magic to particular senses, i probably have before but honestly this is such a cool idea, it gives a great reason for each species evolution.
Super cool that there are distinct visual signifiers of magic users, and specific types of magic users! And perception/willpower is a rad magic conduit with many possibilities, even personalized manifestation of power like JoJo stands or HunterXHunter nen etc.

Nice magic system, very complex yet well thought out and easy to fallow Me I always saw magic as science’s opposite twin were science fallows the laws of reality magic bends them and both I neither truly good nor evil but a neutral concepts that can be used for either great good or terrible evil Also I separated magic in three prime forms transcendent, ambient, and innate
My only criticism isn’t on the magic system but on the video itself, the background music is a bit too loud and makes it a little difficult to focus on what is being said
Hmm, okay this has inspired me to make a magic system. Can someone tell me if it’s too similar to the system in this video? The idea is that you can manifest a deeply engrained sensory experience using magic. An example in my mind is a burn victim being able to set things on fire, or a drowning victim being able to turn the air they breath into water. It would be called something like Marks or Scars, and it would be a hard magic system where a Mark can only do 1 thing, but that can be stretched and applied in creative ways. Maybe the Burn Victim can turn flammable objects into projectiles and explosives, or the drowning victim can create bubble shields! I love the idea because it has those immediate physical differences that this video showcases in its magic system, but it also has the benefits of unique limitations and applications like Avatar’s bending
So magic is a matter of perception and faith. They don't need to warp their bodies, they just believe that they do. So the third is the planet's core? This system of magic seems to hinge on having a close relation with the world around you.
@andresmarrero8666 I'd basically sum it up as gaslighting yourself, If you can convince yourself to fully believe something Is happening, it will happen, But to do this you'd need to think in a way that the human brain isn't meant to , That's why you need the whole brain mutation/shift
@@kytyanimation on the other hand getting a bunch of people on the same page should have the same result, and since perception and interaction with the greater world around them is so important there definitely be ways to achieve that expanded consciousness through discipline rather than a contradictory form of delusion. The system seems to want you to interact with the greater world more intricately and fully rather than gaslighting yourself and/or others. They just haven't figured that out yet.
@andresmarrero8666 I imagine the way somthing like a curse would work would be somthing like convincing a bunch of people a certain person has a monsterous appearance, this mass belief would cause the target of this basically smear campaign to take on some of thoes physical traits
my immediate question is would a human person (sight based) who is colorblind have a harder time with magic, or would their magic be just fundamentally different?
@benjaminehren7965 probably wouldn't have too much of an effect as long as they can invision something. They might just have trouble with things that are based around colour
