"How fast they grow..."... Hahahahahahaha I had an English Bull Mastiff when I lived in South Africa from a kennel club breeder that went to sleep in a small kennel that we had in the garden, when he woke up he couldn`t fit through the access door anymore and was stuck, I had to take the roof off to set him free...he got bigger every time he ate something...he grew into an absolutely beautiful dog, handsome, calm and utterly lovable and soft...Spencer my boy, it`s been 24 years since you left and every day you still cross my mind, sleep well big man, i`m looking forward to you meeting me at the foot of the bridge when my time comes to cross it...
Rachel you’re doing SUCH a good job! You’ve come so far with your confidence on camera and you should be very proud of yourself for that! Also you look really cute in that outfit!
I had Rottweilers for thirty years and they are similar, they want to be with you and touching you, also they are very protective of you and the family. If I had been younger I would have got another Rottie , I love the breed, but I am not as strong as I was thirty years ago ( I am sixty nine ) so I have gone for a smaller labradoodle puppy. I always said that if I won the lottery I would buy a big house with land and have half a dozen Rottweilers. I love the hat by the way, it suits you. 😊
So nice to hear all you haven’t been thinking of before you got Eileen. Great job from you Rachel! It’s not difficult to fall in love with a mastiff. No dog has took my heart like my mastiff. 😍
@@mpb8867 yeah Boerboel would be awesome also I got to say I'm really impressed almost three years into it with my English Mastiff just his personality
Great video, Rachel! Ah, you wouldn't believe how often I've repeated the mantra "I'm a calm, consistent canine leader" in my head whilst raising my Estrela - and it helped me through EVERYthing. Still does :-) Thank you so much for documenting your journey with Eileen.
You’re amazing Rachel! Thank you for sharing your experience and teaching us! I plan to get an English mastiff in a year or two and your videos teach me so much
Amazing job on your first solo video Rachel! That photo of you and Eileen was too cue and amazing, and I can't wait for more Eileen centered content from this channel!
This is just what many of us who have puppies need to hear. It is such a big commitment there is a lot on the line and there are lots of ups and downs. Good to hear we are all going through it. Thank you!
"Be kind." You are doing so much good! Thank you so very much. Seeing you working with your dogs and taking the time it takes to train a puppy keeps me grounded and lets me know at 60 I may not be getting another dog.
LOL...having owned 4 mastiffs over the years, I can remember when my puppies grew by the hour adding over a half pound a day, chewed through several expensive pairs of clogs, burst through screen doors, and broke a waterbed leaping into it to play with mom and dad on a Sunday morning. They were so physically attached that it felt like having a living footstool most evenings. My 210 pound male even broke down a bathroom door to get to me one day when he felt left out. Drool is also to be appreciated as mine could sling it 22 feet up to the foyer ceiling! Mastiffs are like potato chips... you can't have just one. Just cuddle her up and enjoy the time you have with her, they pass too quickly.💖
I bred Great Danes for many years and miss my great big friends. I am now unable to have a pet where I live, first time in my life without one. When I discovered your videos about Eileen I was completely enchanted. She is so beautiful and laid back, I think I would spend all day just cuddling her if I could! Anyway, the lovely Eileen makes my day, thanks for the educational and heartfelt posts!
I love it when your in videos, u help give me the courage to start becoming a dog trainer and might even start my own youtube channel thanks to you. YOU GO GIRL!!
Rachel looking great today 💥 and lol I think yall should do a thing where every 2 weeks yall show a side by side of her growth Elieen seems so chill too
Aloha Rachel! Your sharing your journey and processes in the purest form, with so much honesty, is inspiring and probably one of the most helpful puppy rearing videos online. You are setting the example of someone who is NOT trained and learned in canine behavior but is putting in the work of practicing what you learned in the same FENRIR courses that we will be taking! You give me courage!! I have never owned a dog before, but we are on a waitlist for a puppy from breeder. Chose our breed after careful consideration using Fenrir breed videos plus more reading. Now just signed up for the Puppy course. Watching you helps me realize more that there WILL be rough moments, but like you said, we just need to be consistent and confident and the process will work. Thank you Rachel!! Keep winning! Eileen, you got a great mum!!
Awesome video Rachel.. You are a star. love the content and the heartfelt joy and happiness when you share your overall emotion of raising Eileen as part of family and is very much noticeable through your voice as well. keep the content coming.... cheers
I enjoyed the video. Will is great, but it is really nice to hear from you and your viewpoint. I am doing the perfect puppy course, and we are all off schedule... ahead in some areas, behind in others.. trying to work with what will make my Cane Corso puppy (Kryten... bonus if you know where the name is from) succeed and build a happy and dependable companion. Hearing from the one that is not the behaviorist is awesome.
I love Eileen 💞💞. shes so cute I plan to get a boerboel pup Much later in the year and these videos are incredibly helpful even tho he will be my 7 the dog and my 2nd masstif type breed!!
My mastiff is 190 lbs.. My baby !! He's the smartest baby hippo .. 5 1/2 yrs old.. They are giant two yr olds.. My 1st Mastiff was fawn/ black mask.. This one is Brindle.. Sleeps in my bed.. at my feet 24/7.. Loves me( his mother and prefers me over my husband or kids)..
AWESOME job Rachel!! Love all these frequent updates. Thanks for all the quality free content. This will be our first mwstiff as well so we will be learning tons from you. P.s. nice 👒
Rachel, I'm really looking forward to more solo videos. This was fantastic! And you aren't kidding. Everyone is in the same boat with certain puppy phases. But the consistency in how we deal with it is key. Lovely video!
Amazing job Rachel! We're a family of 5 here and we all absolutely love watching you, Will and Fenrir videos! We got the 4 in 1 course on Corsos and love the content!! I watched it about 8 times over so far! Please keep going in everything you guys are doing! I would LOVE if you guys had Amazon Canada with all your products!! I would probably get 3 of each!😂😅💕 Please do soon!! 😁❤ Much love from Canada!
Thanks for the comments. So, the issue for me is I may not have the time to give the boerboel the exercise it needs. I can dedicate about 30-45 minutes a day for exercise. Do you all think that will be enough exercise for a boerboel? I know a an English mastiff would not mind 30 minutes a day.
I think it’d be cool if you & will did a mini series together on this channel about why you all chose an English mastiff over the other mastiff breeds (I’m really curious about why you all chose it over the Presa and Boerboel)
Our mastiff is now 7 mos. He gains 15 lbs per month. It's important to make sure that they get fed correctly, as you don't want their bones growing too fast, it can reek havoc on their joints. One thing I would of done differently is not let him chew on sticks. They eat everything, and swallow everything. Also deter them from chewing or bitting on people, or it will become problematic.
Yes , they grow through the teething phase and turn into lil sharks 😅 we would distract Gunther with chew toys . Luckily he went through this phase pretty quickly, and hardly any damage to us or furniture. He’s always been such a sweetheart ❤️
Mine grew like 5lb a week 😂 he’s 4 months and 50lbs. He eats A LOT. Literally jumps for joy when he knows it’s meal time! Also he will rip my plants in the yard to shreds if I look away for one second.
Hi.Eileen ia such a sweetheart.Lots of love.Even I am struggling with my Charlie. He is a 3 month old english mastiff.Honestly thanks for all the inputs. It does help.Btw how old is Eileen right now and how much does she weigh?
Thank you! This was very interesting and endearing. I'm really enjoying your videos! Eileen is so adorable! 😍😍😍 I hope you don't mind me saying this: You're beautiful! Au naturel or with makeup, you're beautiful! I believe in telling people stuff while we still can! Hence, me telling you! Have a great day!
We have had our new Amstaff puppy for 2 weeks now also so following along with your journey. Purchased the Perfect Puppy Course last night so looking forward to getting some training happening.
Hi Rachel!, Are you guys worried about the drool? I am thinking about getting one, but I am so hesitant about all the drool... I hear that it is a lot!
All puppies chew its natural behaviour you just have to learn them what they can and can't chew that's all same with any dog,I have a mastiff/rottweiler cross and she is an amazing family dog, very loving and cuddly with us but very picky with strangers also very quick learner and fantastic personality, she still acts like a pup even though she is 7 now, fantastic dogs also very beautiful! Your girl is very handsome and she will love and naturally want to keep you all safe you just need to learn her that she does not have to do that as in the wrong hands these kind of dogs can go very wrong and be too territorial they can be very headstrong so need a responsible owner and training or they are easily made uncontrollable that's what people need to know also about these dogs, they need excercise daily and mental stimulation or will be destructive through boredom, not a dog for a lazy person that's for sure! Also not a good dog for inexperienced owner as they grow too big and strong!
"How fast they grow..."...

hello ma'am im from india im desperately trying to find pure breed of English mastiff puppy please help me out ❤
your dog's beautiful
Dont walk away, eileen.
For puppy chewing with EM's is ice cubes.
Have you already started her on a raw diet?
have you noticed much drooling yet? If yes, is it mostly during meal time?
They only drool after a four months of age once the start to get their jowls. The drool is only after eating/drink water, so it’s not so bad.

@@erick7027 👍🏻👍🏻 yes walks/ panting

You can't make a list like this after only 2 weeks. This makes no sense at all.
