THX Spatial Creator generates binaural immersive audio, which has a number of benefits over object-based immersive audio systems like Dolby Atmos. THX Spatial Creator -vs- Dear VR Pro THX's "motion" automation presets (watch at 3:11 mark) is the big difference. You can automate this with Dear VR Pro, but it takes a little longer, though you'll have more control if you're moving things specifically through the stage.. If you want to slap a auto-pan style effect on quickly, THX is gonna beat Dear VR. If you're seeking realistic reverbs to move around and through, Dear VR Pro has more options for you. If I had to choose one, I'd take Dear VR Pro. They're both good at what they do. I'm hearing THX is gonna lend its self more to speech and effects, while Dear VR might do better at moving musical elements through space. In the end, you use what you like, get them both if you can. TLDR: -THX Spatial Creator has presets for rotation and auto-pan effects where Dear VR Pro requires you to automate -Dear VR Pro has more diverse sounding spacial presets in Virtual Acoustics compared to the "Size" options in THX (watch at 13:18)

Nope. You have to combine an atmos stereo folddown with a stereo mix. Perhaps you can hack 2 stereo outputs, ine with atmos one without and use loopback to send the atmos mixdown into the stereo output.

This plug-in appears to be garbage. The HRTF filters (at approximately 3-15deg depending on position) are not interpolated! Not even linearly interpolated! This means that for sounds like white noise, YOU CAN HEAR THE STEPS BETWEEN THE FILTERS as the sound is panned! It sounds like garbage!! I will remove this comment and apologize if I'm wrong and somehow am using the plug-in incorrectly.
I'm having the same trouble. I'm using in the simple automated circle around the head motion with a basic sound source. It is sounding "chunky". I would be happy to have someone tell me what's happening and that I'm using it incorrectly!

dearVR has binaural support too right?
Thx and surround is more realistic and powerful than studio monitors stereo. It's a difference. Need to try this plugin

Informative walkthrough, thanks. How do you set the motion SPEED to beats/BPM instead of seconds?
To convert a known BPM value to seconds, you can either divide 60 seconds by the tempo of your beat in bpm or use a free online BPM calculator.

When I load this up in Audacity, it works as a live effect, but using it from the effects menu just flatlines the audio... any troubleshooting ideas?
How do you record the motion presets into your daw? Automation doesn't work with it.
