Flynn being in big brother mode is so 🥹
It is so sweet. I love when Colleen vlogs those moments. I also love Flynn when he is being an amazing big brother. Their bond is so magical.
Tip! Combine the struggle of keeping up with laundry and Flynn wanting to help! Instead of doing 8 loads of laundry in one day, do 1 load every day. Yep, you will be doing laundry EVERY day, BUT this will accomplish several things. 1- it will build a DOABLE habit for yourself and the family 2-it will teach the same to the kids while providing consistency for the whole fam 3-it will teach them how to sort...example: start with 1 load of Flynn's tomorrow, he helps start it, transfers to dryer, then once dry he sorts into piles - underwear, socks, shirts, pants etc. Then you fold most of it and he helps. Then, he helps put away. 4- it gives them a sense of responsibility. After you do this for about a week, you will be essentially caught up in laundry and it will not feel so overwhelming and you've developed a good habit within the kids. Believe me! The younger they learn this, the better!!

This is a great idea!! When I nannied as soon as they could walk and pull clothes out of the laundry basket 🧺 we'd sort together. We'd work our way up to do a load through everything up to folding. That one waited for awhile.
Mom & dad were very grateful for this when it was my time to move on.
This would take a lot to commit to for someone who is already busy with a bunch of kids and ADHD lol

I’m glad you are feeling better! Celebrating the twins’ half birthday was so cute! My great grandmother used to celebrate her children’s’ half birthdays with half a cake! Daisy is so alien and perfect! Fingers crossed for Paris!!

I'm pretty sure they always do it for Flynn, and I'm pretty sure her mom always did it for her family (unless I'm misremembering?) so why not do it for the twins? It's a fun memory for them to look back on, I wish my family was bigger into fun things like this. If I wanted kids this is how I would want to be!

Awhile back I finally got a new front loader washer and dryer set. With the bigger load capacity for the endless laundry from our family of 5…I was so excited my husband said “wow if I knew this made you so happy I would have bought 2 sets!”
So TT? , would you ever get another set? Double the loads and half the time!
I throw all my laundry in together on a delicate wash! You can mix when it’s on delicate lol

Laundry tip! Don’t fold the clothes!!!! If they do not fit in the drawers then you have too many clothes. Declutter the clothes on laundry day. This way all of the favorites are dirty so you can safely donate what is remaining in the dresser.
A fellow mom taught me this and laundry is super easy to do and I never get backed up on it now.

As someone from the UK… unless it’s a delicate I dry things altogether. Ain’t no body got time to sort the washing for drying! I just put whatever in the wash together that can dry together lol! Xx

When I was with my first ever boyfriend, I had two miscarriages and I thought okay there's something wrong with my boyfriend. After all the abuse I left him because he abused me after that thinking I got abortion instead of miscarry for both of them. Then I was with a person who is now my ex-husband and we were married for 7 years before divorce. I had a miscarriage of 4 months which is practically halfway. It made me so sad to have that because I then realized it was me who had the problem of not being able to produce kids. When the doctor told me I couldn't produce kids I cried so hard that I swear it was making my head and eyes hurt from the pain I was feeling in my heart from not being able to produce kids. Now I just enjoy my sister's two wonderful kids who are amazing 2 year old little girl and 4 year old little boy. I will be the best aunt I can for them that is the best I got. Also Colleen your children are amazing and beautiful as well.
I think my kids love their aunt more than me their own mother 😄😆😄 She's the fun aunt, how lucky are my kids!!

I never sort my laundry and never had any ruined, I wash them all together and dry them all together… the only time I sort is when I have white clothes in the dirty laundry and I bleach them
I’m so glad you came back to vlogs, Colleen. A year ago I got sexually assaulted. I reported it a few weeks later. It’s a difficult story. But it happened on my birthday. May 19. I’m having triggering issues. That person’s comment was something good to hear. I’m still struggling today and in addition to my depression and anxiety I have PTSD. When you said your struggling to keep yourself going everyday I totally relate to that. Your doing amazing Colleen, especially what you have personally had to go through, it’s an achievement to even just just get up for each day and try your best, life is very scary and complicated and most of the time I find myself not knowing what I should even be doing. Neurodivergents living in a world not set up for them can be tough. Your not alone ❤️
Oh my god, who remembers when Colleen used to find toys around the house and re-gift to flynn when he was literally. Like when she would find some of his dar dars and put them in the advent calendar she had just opened so he could open it too!
