What a simple design & well thought out without to much thought! Great Idea & thanks John for featuring this Item. I think the price of old implements in really good condition just went up with this adapter lol.
Hi John! That’s a very clever solution to one of the biggest limitations of a Quick Hitch. At least with that gadget it’s almost as fast as hooking up with the Pat’s Easy Change System. LOL! That’s why I went with Pat’s. It’s compatible with all implements instead of requiring implements to be QH compatible. Still for QH folks, that’s a cool solution for helping a QH connect to an old implement. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. Im getting ready to disc soon. Frost is just maybe getting done our way. Nice job with old implements.Great job with quick hitch. 23rd like full play. Awesome job with adapter.
Great idea. Will order one tomorrow. Bolt on hooks has some removable pin’s available to replace the bolts and really make it easy. Adjustable Hook Pins for Imported Quick Hitches
Thank you togo, for watching and the comment! I will have to look into them pins. Thanks for letting me know about them. I don't take the adaptor off my QH. I use it on all my equipment. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
Hey John, Thank you for posting your video on the advantages of the 3P-QD Quick Hitch Adapter. I especially liked your comments at the very end where you said, " Easy, Fast, I like it, I'm leaving it on there". To me, that's the best part of the 3P-QH, it's a permanent fix. I have not taken my 3P-QH off since I put it on 8 months ago. It's awesome - now I use all my implements without hesitation.
Thank you Dennis! It does work well. You have a very useful adaptor. I don't think I will ever need to take it off. Thank you for the ease way to QH my old equipment. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
How's she goin'? That's a nice Quick Hitch Adapter piece John!!! I like that it adds to the 'flex' of the top link. That sure is handy for the rear implements. Thanks for sharing and take care!!!
Thank you David, for watching and the comment! It works really good. Just tilled my garden use it again and I love it! Have a good weekend! See ya in the next one!
All of my implements are old stuff, 30 plus years, except a new auger...14" double bottom plow, 5' adjustable blade, 4 row disc cultivator, 5' bush hog...Only the bush hog mount had to be modified, 15 minute job with a cutoff wheel on a 4" grinder to gain a bit of access to top pin. Love my HF quick hitch, been working great for the past year at very little money.
Thank you Glen, for watching and the comment! I love the HF quick hitch myself. A lot of my equipment is to heavy to manhandle. Have a good weekend! See ya in the next one!
@@LouisianaTractorworks Just wanted to mention that I had a problem with pin spacing on one of my implements, about a 1/2" more clearance needed on the QH...So I did it like we always do here in Missouri and smacked each side rail of the QH with a sledge hammer to move it out just a bit...That did the trick and didn't seem to effect the QH performance.
Thank you Doug, for watching and the comment. I have a few tool box's full of tools but I keep a couple of adjustable wrenches on the tractors because I never know just what I may need to tighten or take off. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Great solution. I was researching Quick Hitches, and found one that used puns instead of bolts in the top link. I can't seem to remember which brand, but that seems like it would be a good addition to your video. Thanks for sharing your solution.
Hank, I was out here with my tractor the other day trying to use a crescent wrench, I couldn't get it to fin nutin, DUH......it was my metric crescent wrench. 😁😜
That is a great adaptor if you have a number of old attachments but if it was just one I might think about cutting the brace off and weld another lower
Thanks GTB! True but if you get more then you will be doing them too. Plus time cost to cut it and reweld it. This is easy and you can now add more older implements for cheap. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Use hitch pins thru the top part instead of nuts and bolts. Or cut the support off and move it to the other side of the bush hog!!! A ratchet would be quicker than two small crescent wrenches too !!!!
Looks like you use a set of pins to replace them bolt. Ken’s bolt on hooks sells them for about $12. Makes changing or adjusting that hook much easier and fast.
Thank you c.carney1948, for watching and the comment! Thanks for the heads up on the pins from Ken's. I didn't know he sold them, and you are right! It sure will make it a lot easier. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
couple of easy pins and that top link adjuster would be super efficient. The one thing that gets to me with switching implements isn't the weight but adjusting the tension every single time.
Thank you Isaiah, for watching and the comment! You are so right! Lol. A hydraulic top link would be great to have on the tractors but it's a expensive add on. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
Love the quick connect, a problem I had with mine , depending on the length of the 3rd link , I had an instance of it hitting the tractor and cracking the plastic molding around the lights on the tractor. In a shortened position (box blade ) this may happen as it did with me.
Thank you Mark, for watching and the comment! I with you on everything you said. I almost hit mine but caught it on time. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Thanks Jerry! So far it seems to work really well! Makes hooking that old equipment much faster and easer! I really am liking it! lol Have a good day! See ya in the next one!
Cut the upper tie bar and reposition it to a lower support point. Take a little bit of time to cut another flat bar and weld in place. Then remove the exiting piece. That's how I dealt with it.
Thanks Doug! That will work, but I plan on getting more older implements and this adapter is a one time fix for all of them. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Thats great news John. I'll have to get me one. My quick hitch is only compatible with my sickle bar mower. Can't use it with anything else. Thanks buddy.

I’d like to see you do a video explaining which hoses to hook together once you unhook the backhoe from the Massey. I have to try to figure it out each time I want to hook up my rotary cutter.
That should work really well. It hooks up well anyway. I have an older Southeast brand brush cutter. The top link is actually a 5/16 chain. That works really well here in the hills. It doesn't mate up to the quick hitch because of the width of the pin spacing. I drop the quick hitch off and hook it directly to the 3 point. I have gone to grabbing one of the other loader tractors when I hook it up. When it is suspended in the air with the weight off the ground, I can push it around with one hand to any place I need it to be. Doesn't help for hooking up the pro shaft though.
Thanks Gary! Yeah I've used soft top links on some of that older equipment to have that free travel on the top link. Some of the equipment that's to wide for a QH you can sometimes flip the pins to the inside and it will work. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
so how do you get cat 2 arms into the cat 1 quick hitch. have a new cat 2 tractor but old cat 1 implements and quick hitch. balls on lower tractor arms to wide to fit into the area where you connect them on the quick hitch.
