I really appreciate your channel and all the good info. I purchased a Dirt Dog land plane from you and I love it. I'd like to make 2 suggestions. Start carrying the the Pat's Quick Change system. It is compatible no matter what the spacing and is almost as easy as the quick hitch. The second is about mounting the post hole digger. It's simple for one person to mount if your just dismantle it first, especially if you're using the Pat's system. Try it, you'll eliminate the hate!
Great video! The aggravating thing about King Kutter not being QH compatible is that KK has been in the attachment business long enough to know better.
I have a County Line landscape rake and box blade for my John Deere 2305 and they were not quick hitch compatible but I fabricated a bracket for each and used extended pins and was able to make them compatible. I'm 72 years old and I just love my quick hitch.
Even at 40 I love the quick hitch. If there's an easier way, seems smart to take it! Glad you had the knowledge to be able to make your own brackets! That's not something I could do!
Thanks Courtney for the video. It is sort of like beating a dead horse, but still informative. I am “snarky” today and just can’t wrap my head around color matching my “tools”, sorry. Spray cans of paint are available everywhere! Crap, my tractors are about every color short of purple or pink. I’m not a farmer, but tractors are tools and not a fashionable statement! Hard for me to believe a 1025 can run an 8’ finish mower 😮.
The post hole digger can be a pain to attach, but to me it's dumb to leave the auger attached when disconnecting. I pull the auger, lower it, disconnect the lifting arms, and then pull the top link pin and let it slide backwards. To attach I reverse the process, I am 71 with arthritis in my shoulders and that has been the easiest way for me. To protect the vertical shaft I install a 8" section of 2" PV pipe lined with grease to keep it from rusting.
Love my SpeeCo e-Hitch. I had one three-point attachment that was not compatable (a County Line carryall I had built a stake box on that didn't have room for the lower jaws . . . Fostner bits, Sawzall, and wood chisel to the wood later it's OK). I do have one attachment that I have to move the upper hook for - but I got the clevis pin & bow-tie clip option and it takes less than a minute to move the hook. Sooo much easier than the rigid stabilizer bars and pounding away with a mallet to align an attachment with my 1956 Ford 640. As I said, I love my SpeeCo e-Hitch. Best old fart friendly addition to my stable.
The single best value for money addition is my $20 spinner knob. It's not even a contest. But I'd have to say the 2nd best value for money addition is my generic Quick Hitch. It's not perfect but it does its job very well and is a labour and huge frustration saver. No question in my mind they work in many situations - but you may have to do some work too as Courtney rightly points out.
Courtney great video!! You are definitely right about the king kutter Xbox 4ft. Tiller could not get it hooked up to quick hitch. I only have one implement that hooked up to quick hitch it was 2017 Mahindra 6ft. Box blade but rest of my implements are old so sold my quick hitch and still doin it the old fashion way but sure is hard sometimes. Evidently the little summit tractor is doin the job looks like you are workin it. Good lookin little tractor. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun
Sure, now you tell me that you will be coming out with an Imatch hitch hanger.. I just built my own in my garage this past weekend!! Great videos!!! keep up the good work!
I'd love to be able to use a speeco quick hitch but 2 of my older attachments are wider than some of my newer ones. I did find a quick hitch setup that slips on the lift arms which I'll probably end up buying instead.
I have the Kubota L3901....Do you know if the speeco will work with the Wallenstein skidding winch? Thinking it may come down to the extra length of pto shaft.
I was suprised to hear about King Cutter. I have a king cutter brush hog (6'), a rake (7') and rear blade (7') and all are quickhitch compatible. I had assumed they all were. Thanks for letting me know I need to check before buying.
Hello Courtney, do you sell A-frame hitches or are you connected with any venders that sell them. I have decided to buy an A-frame hitch because a quick hitch is just not gonna work for my old equipment. Thank-you
Yes, absolutely! But no "quick attachment thingy" is needed. Quick-"hooks" on the lifting arms and on the hydraulic push-/pull cylinder in the middle. No need to put the implement further back than needed... Yes, the names are wrong but I didn't have the energy to google them right in english...
One concern I had before I got my Speeco was in situations when you need to remove it to use a non-compatible implement, is it possible to disconnect the tractor's 3pt from the QH and just leave the QH connected to the last used compatible implement? The answer is yes and easier than expected.
I have the king Kutter XB 4ft rough cut mower & box blade. I had to modify them both for my quick-hitch, but it can be done. Had to drill some holes to mount the pins higher on the cutter and used extended length pins for the box blade to work. Both have been working great for 12+ years. I just got a used 6' Walco Douglas finish mower that will hook-up to the QH, but the PTO shaft clearance was too tight to the top of QH, so that won't work and neither will my Bestco flail mower.
Speedo makes 2 quick hitch adapters for the cat 1 any chance you know when they might apply ,my old bush hog pivoits at the top link , won't work as it stands right now
Awesome video. I have a b2601 and one of your speeco quick hitches: on my tractor it makes everything easier. It fits land pride bb1248 box blade, land pride rcr1248 bush hog, king cutter tm gn ok trailer mover, titan ballast box, and king cutter boom pole (i use a chain and hook for the top link). The quick hitch is the best thing ever, for people lacking one...get one, it makes life easy.
@@GoodWorksTractors I be happy to not be "stubborn". Who is willing to donate replacement attachments so I am not stubborn? I need a 7 foot snow blower category 2, hydraulic 3-pt log splitter and rear blade. I would probably consider a quick hitch if those 3 implements were compatible. I don't know of a splitter made for category 2. Currently three implements that are debt free all with different width and height spacings. Only solution I know is replacing which is out of my budget. So call me stubborn if you want, but this is one reason I have not subscribed to this channel.
Courtney, I've seen comments on some tractors sites that the top link hook is sometimes incompatible. Some have mentioned having to buy an offset top link hook so it will pickup their implements. Have ever gotten that complaint on the Speeco?
I don’t think many new tractor buyers realize that there are different size 3pt hitches. For instant I know my 3033r has a cat 1 but I never gave a thought about my Ingersoll 7020 until about a month ago when I thought about adding a quick hitch to it. The 7020 has a cat 0… shows how much I’ve used the 3pt hitch on it (always has the ballast box on it). After a little researching I discovered there is no conversion bracket to make a cat 0 hitch work with cat 1 attachments or at least none that I could fine).
In regards to the JD iMatch ballast box and the Speedco, I did have to add bushings to mine as the ballast box was narrow enough that one side of mine slid out of the bottom hook when my 1025R was shifting around on some uneven ground.
Courtney - any plans on you selling north of the border? I love your selection of products, but you don't have options to ship to Canada... I suppose I could ship to a shipping outlet in North Idaho and drive down to get it... might be worth it for me. Anyway; just curious if you have plans to expand your territory at all?
i been forced to garage my quick hitch, the attachment i use the most doesn't work with it and it don't like the hassle of putting it back on, so i bought some pat's quick hitches but i haven't put them on yet
Luke needs to upgrade to the 450 Bushmaster ASAP! It also a straight wall cartridge and was on the scene first! One of your late great Michigan gun gurus invented it, (Timothy LeGendre) RIP of Lapeere Michigan. He was a close friend. Gone too soon. My channel actually focused on the 450 Bushmaster back during its ascension in the straight wall, cartridge world for AR-15s. Now, many manufacturers are producing this cartridge in several different platforms, including single shot and bolt action. I have a Ruger, American rifle chambered for the 450Bushmaster. It’s a hard hitter and great for those big Michigan whitetails. the recoil is about that of a 20 gauge may be a little less.
Oh yeah, I’ve got a 450. Shot my biggest buck with it in 2019. 250 yard heart shot. My biggest problem with the 450 is ammo choices, but it m the last year more options have come to market. My Hornady Blacks are one of the best grouping bullets I shoot, but terrible real world results on game.
Let me tell ya, Courtney….. I reload for all 3 of my 450 Bushmasters so if you ever decide to take up that project and you need help, hit me up. You already have my email and other contact info. I have so many different types of ammo for my Thumpers, I can’t even name them all off the top of my head, but I can say, I’ve got enough load info to keep you in ammo if you are willing to get a basic Reloading setup.
i just bought a John Deere 3043r with a 6 foot finish mower my dealer installed an adapter and it hooks right up to my quick hitch, i lift it to cross ditches and gravel driveway.
haha, seems like i'm the only one that has no issues putting on an auger by myself, from the ground without a stand . it's my land pride box blade that I hate!
I convinced my friend to buy one for his Kubota. He was all excited and asked me to help him set up his attachments. The one he used the most is a 6' finish mower. Because the pins on the mower can move up and down independently from side to side to follow the terrain, not the rear axle, it didn't work. When lowering the 3 point hitch all the way down, the top bar of the quick hitch could hit the PTO shaft because the 2 pins would lower when lowering the 3 point hitch. There was a floating top link with his quick hitch, but it was quick hitch hitting the PTO. He could have lowered it half way, but not sure how that would work if he went over a hump, would the mower have lifted? Who knows. He returned the quick hitch because the implement he uses the most is his finish mower, he has a campground to mow, so he's mowing almost every day for a couple of hours, by the time he's done, he has to start again at the other end. So removing the mower, putting on the quick hitch to hook the back blade, then remove back blade and quick hitch to put back the mower didn't make sense. Same for his tiller and bush hog. Didn't matter what he used, he always has to go back to the finish mower. People have different needs, they don't work for everybody, but they do for most.
Just found out that my new Kioti NS 6010 HST rear lower arms at 2" are Cat 2 diameter and not compatible with Speedco which only accepts cat 1 at 1 1/2 ".
Could you try and get Maschio equipment and rhino ag equipment and compare them to what other brands you carry? Maschio and rhino ag, TTWT uses these brands and I’m just curious.
CountyLine 60" finish mower was made Speeco compatible by reversing the positions of the top link pin and the bolt just beneath it, and cutting about a half inch of steel out of the top of the crossbar. Floating top link adapter would've required buying a shorter top link. Did I "irreversibly compromise the integrity" of the mower? God, I hope so, I hate this mower! lol
The better question might be, why don't quick hitches have adjustments to fit non-standard implements? The best questions is, why is there not a better hitch system for tractors?
The same way that many products have standards or specifications. There’s a system in place. Attachment manufacturers who choose to ignore this system shoot themselves in the foot along with the customers who own that equipment.
@ Del Morino: Most European manufacturers won’t have your quick hitch adapters on their radar screen, because in Europe we have our own system, which you can see in this video: ua-cam.com/video/uU__KKcwugI/v-deo.html I don’t understand, why this construction didn’t make it over the Atlantic.
Still nothing beets the trusty European style hooks and balls. Fits to every implement and no extra length to the hitch arms, and is propaly just as quick as every amercan quick hitch out there.
Quick hitches attach all three points. I can hook up to many attachments without ever leaving the operator seat. Especially if I have a hydraulic top link.
I suspect that quick hitches are an American thing and the rest of the world has no problem getting off the tractor to make the attachment. Maybe this is why some of the overseas products aren't quick hitch compatible.

Very cool!
I have a quick hitch on my Mahindra 2538 the attachment I have is my post hole augar And I have most of them
How much is the axis arm? I would love to see a video of it in action.
They are all Patt's compatibility even 3pt post hole diggers,Fail mower, and stump grinders are Patt's compatible!
Good Information!
Thanks!
Great info!
Thanks!
haha, seems like i'm the only one that has no issues putting on an auger by myself, from the ground without a stand . it's my land pride box blade that I hate!
I was disappointed in my quick hitch when I could hook up my 7' finish mower. I had to purchase the top link adapter and eliminate the top hook.
Nice, glad it now works
You sure know your stuff when it comes to tractor's. I've only owned a tractor for 10hrs so what I know you could write on a paddle pop stick 😂
Probably a Pat's system would be better for him.
Agreed
@@jimmcknight3021 that's true.
Check the finish mower. My Land Pride finish mower has a different bolt setup so that it becomes QH compatible and the mower arms don't move.
Just found out that my new Kioti NS 6010 HST rear lower arms at 2" are Cat 2 diameter and not compatible with Speedco which only accepts cat 1 at 1 1/2 ".

@@GoodWorksTractors Went there but what was your solution?
Could you try and get Maschio equipment and rhino ag equipment and compare them to what other brands you carry? Maschio and rhino ag, TTWT uses these brands and I’m just curious.
I use and sell Rhino equipment. Would have to have someone bring over Maschio equipment. I don’t really want to go out and buy it, haha!
@@GoodWorksTractors awww, but Courtney! We know they will sell well!😇
CountyLine 60" finish mower was made Speeco compatible by reversing the positions of the top link pin and the bolt just beneath it, and cutting about a half inch of steel out of the top of the crossbar. Floating top link adapter would've required buying a shorter top link. Did I "irreversibly compromise the integrity" of the mower? God, I hope so, I hate this mower! lol
Very cool!
When is that grapple becoming available
when are yall going to pick up rhinos rotary cutters ?
The better question might be, why don't quick hitches have adjustments to fit non-standard implements? The best questions is, why is there not a better hitch system for tractors?
The same way that many products have standards or specifications. There’s a system in place. Attachment manufacturers who choose to ignore this system shoot themselves in the foot along with the customers who own that equipment.
@ Del Morino: Most European manufacturers won’t have your quick hitch adapters on their radar screen, because in Europe we have our own system, which you can see in this video:

I don’t understand, why this construction didn’t make it over the Atlantic.
Cat 1 has so many different dimensions out there it's not worth it
Nice vid guys
Thanks!
Too bad the old Farmall fast hitch did not become the standard rather than the 3 point hitch.

Atta boy! Got some rain today over here
@@GoodWorksTractors A small 10 Sprinkle. No weather like they forecasted. 5 minutes of winds
I suspect that quick hitches are an American thing and the rest of the world has no problem getting off the tractor to make the attachment. Maybe this is why some of the overseas products aren't quick hitch compatible.
There is a lot of demand for quick hitches oversees
