Man I’ve got a NAPT test tomorrow and this stuff helps my confidence. I don’t know a lick of physics and I’m terrified trying to study this school year long topic within two weeks

I think you should have gone into the optimization problem of forward to downward thrust. In the video it sounds like you absolutely want to spend more time in the air because it costs less energy, which is only one side of the optimization problem, because on the other side you want to spend as much time on the ground with as high a friction as possible to convert your energy into forward thrust, which you can't do airborne. I don't even think energy is among the biggest problems, I think peak athletes are not even energy constrained at 100m as demonstrated by Noah Lyles when he won Olympic gold this year when he only found his absolute maximum speed shortly before the finish line.

Wait a second...If you are writing on a piece of glass you must be mirroring the video. That means that your shirt in real life is actually mirrored?
