Ted: What's that you're looking at, father? Jack: What? Ted: Is that a film? Jack: What? Ted: Isn't that Kiefer Sutherland? Jack: WHAT? Ted: Is that Flatliners you're watching? Jack: WHAT? Fernandez: Is Father Jack a little short of hearing? Jack: WHAT? Ted: To be honest, he can hear quite well when he wants to. Watch this... Father Jack, would you like a glass of brandy? Jack: (softly) Yes. Funny as hell.
This is one of the few comedies ever made that I can watch right through and then immediately repeat. It is pure class, as were the actors who only did secondary parts, like Father Hernandez, Bishop Brennan, the cinema manager, John & Mary, the picnic area manager, the I Shot JR bloke, everyone who appeared in the Golden Cleric Christmas episode, probably the best episode of the lot in my estimation. The entire Father Ted thing turned out to be a tour de force of the very cleverest people in their field.
I'm shocked to see people on here being like probably Catholics don't like this I'm literally Catholic and love this show. So many I know do as well. I'm Indian so that could be a difference.
"Like" and "Literally" - you need to study the English language by reading books, preferably classics, to enhance your concept of sentence construction and range of vocabulary. Judging by your response you are not Indian at all.
Some of the best voice over acting you will ever hear! Perfect
heh heh heh

Speeding off in a red Porsche with dance music cranking haha That's the kind of priest who would actually make you WANT to go to church!
I actually once saw a vicar put on a pair of shades, say “alright lads” to us, and get into a Porsche 911

@Metatality the basic premise is making fun of three preists and by extension the entire Roman Catholic denomination. I'd say it's almost mandatory.

@Metatality I do aswell
This series is hilarious, also father Hernandez's spanish is very bad.
In the linguistic or ethical sense?
