I love how the "good" ending has a cringey cut scene before the actual mission but the "bad" ending just goes straight to the point. No BS like the slow mo walk.
The thing I love about this game, is that it doesn’t paint the soviets as bad guys, because you see on both sides that they are fighting for what they believe in, personally I chose the betrayal ending, killing mason, woods and the rest. It felt strange shooting at mason and woods, it almost felt good. And then when I finally came face to face with Adler dying, I don’t know why but I instantly plugged him in the head. And then the speech Perseus gives to you at the end. Its all so good I love this game

I feel like the ambush ending is the most satisfying in terms of character arc Think about it, Bell was one of the high brass in the Perseus ring, why in the absolute fuck would they just turn back on that for the sake of those who tortured, lied, and stole from them? It makes sense for their character to go back to their old ways once regaining their memories.
Yes I know because Perseus will treat you like an uncle, welcome you while Adler cannot trust you and will kill you but the reason I like the good one is because it focuses on being on the good side, does not kill your favorite black ops characters and succeeding the mission.
I see people hating on Adler for betraying Bell at the end up but we have to understand he did it for the greater good, bell was a soviet after all and though he seemed reformed anything could've happened. I did feel betrayed but in the end I understood why Adler did what he did.
I mean if you look at Weavers background in BO1 it says that the government is hunting down Mason because he was apart of MK-Ultra and Woods/Hudson. The person that was supposed to hunt them was SAS John redacted.
@@extinctiongaming3556 Unfortunately Cold war didn't folow through on that ending detail of BO1. It was called Operation Charybdis, and I guarantee that's where BO2 would have been if it didn't have to take place in the future as well. I hoped this game would, and the beginning part was solid, but none of these endings are satisfying in the slighted
I completely understand why he did it and I would’ve probably done the same but I still picked the ending to kill him and everyone because they deserved it for what they did
He/she was the main bad guy the whole time and knew that the whole time just playing with the CIA to think that he/she was being controlled. Then puts a bullet into the head of Perseus becoming the new head and orders an assassin to put a bullet in the head of the US president to tie up loose ends. After that he/she gets every nuke from the Soviets and the US to blow the entire world into a nuclear winter. Dun…Dun…DUNN
My experience with the ending is, when I was given the choice, I did feel angry and saddened by what happened to Bell, but at the same time, I'm American, and Russia has brought a lot of shit to the US as a whole, so I thought about what Perseus wanted to do, and I knew it was wrong, despite Bell working with him from the start. The Soviet Union detonating those Nukes would have been an atrocious choice to let them get away with. Besides, I did appreciate Adler's decisions to more of an external factor, and Mason and Woods felt more like friends to me personally, even if Bell was more family with Perseus and Co. I was even saddened when I had to choose between saving Park or Lazar (I chose Park) cause I knew I had to leave a man behind, which is literally breaking the first rule of COD. So bottom line: I take the good ending more. I played the campaign to stop Perseus, so that's what I do.
I honestly went with the "bad ending." It felt somewhat satisfying gutting Adler in the end after all that BS he pulled with the added benefit of feeling like a triple agent.
I find this campaign quite entertaining it really points out how thin the line of good and bad really is. In my opinion all sides in this have their fair share of evil. I find it interesting that a lot of people are trying to pick a side as inherently good despite the point of the story, while everyone can see whats wrong with persues's plan by killing millions of civilians it seems that people are quick to ignore how inherently immoral the US sponsored plan to put the nukes there to begin with is. Its basically we'd rather slaughter millions of civllians than let them fall under communist rule, and as pointed out what you are really doing is covering up the CIA planning mass genocide and the "saving the world" part is completely secondary. You can argue about the politics that the end justify the means or whatever but if you're killing millions of innocents making a sacrifice on their behalf with no choice given then what you have protected isn't freedom, its just the illusion of freedom. On a side note tho Bell as a character might have had their memory taken but dont forget they were a close ally of perseus. You can have no doubt that they had done some f'ed up shit. As far as i see this aspect if you get involved in plans of mass genocide you are fair game for this stuff
Wwe commentary would be like with the first ending like: “there you have it ladies and gentlemen this seems it’s going to be woods and his teams favor... wa-wait a minute look at this is bell switching sides.....oh shit woods finally gets killed in a battlefield I can’t believe what I’m even seeing jbl: goddamit no no! Why bell the crowd: boooooooo oh now goes mason his body flying backwards and landing on his stomach like he just failed the dm’s. Booker t: that shit was gangsta. Jbl: what well happen next on raw. Omg ladies gentlemen that is the mercy of the great leg dancing fever oh my goodness wel you look at that them bullets can’t touch his feet I bet that person who’s head is underground might be dancing to you can’t touch this
Seeing as how Solovetsky was awaiting "Perseus" signal to detonate, I honestly thought there's be an ending where you could run the Russian ambush into a CIA trap, kill Perseus AND stop the bombs in time, or let the ambush kill Adler and the rest of the team for what they did to Bell, then kill Perseus afterwards and choose to detonate the bombs and become the new leader of the Soviet revolution or cancel the detonation and have a mysterious ending where everyone dies except Bell who after a post credit mission goes after Hudson since he's as much of a mastermind in all of this as Perseus was
The bad ending is so fucking amazing and scary at the same time You get such a satisfying end at being the worst case scenario that it gets frightening to have to participate to all of this bad stuff Good job on that
"Good" is only matter of perspective, saving your homeland and yourself also a good choice. This is why it's a good game, you get consequences of your every action, no utopian choice.
@@riuqpijfkdls it's saving millions of people vs being loyal to your motherland. I prefer the latter anyway, as it makes much more sense for someone as loyal as bell
So the CIA did to Bell what the Russians did to Mason in BO1? Reznov was definitely right when he said "The Flags may be different but the methods are the Same. They will use You, like they use Me."
If you can sneak past Mason, Woods and Lazar, you can execute them in an unique way. I did the mission 3 times to get them. First shoot 2 of them, and sneak past the third and kill him from behind.
Anyone else realize when you go into Perseus room before going to the computer, look around and you’ll see sticky notes referring to BO1 saying “Why can’t I remember” and “PAIN PAIN PAIN” and “Who am i?”, etc.

For the motherland
Aside from how they nuke innocent people
Kinda strange how this game made you care about a random Soviet spy more than the 2 charecters I've loved for years because they were my childhood.
I love how they actually antagonize the main heroes in a way, and gives us another chance to be on the side of Mother Russia. What would Reznov do?
Hed be sickened by the full us plans ... op Greenlight is a monsterous idea and they went through with it . His fathers music still haunts him but it was beautiful . Dimitri killed like a dog . His families forced to starve (innocent Jewish people / sound familiar) --Mason , his one last brother . Forced to be a mindless killing machine for the suits . Mother Russia is but a faint memory now made a mad demon by a country and rogue organization that killed hundreds of millions of Native Americans and now poisons it's public with fluoride and chemicals . Yeah "good guys" , were the" good "guys... But hey it's just a game right ? I'm remembering masons words from the bo4 multiplayer trailer , ["no one gives a Fuck about u , you're a number , an asset "" ] Reagan made all the right wing lobbyists trillions . Just a game...

I feel like the ambush ending is the most satisfying in terms of character arc
Think about it, Bell was one of the high brass in the Perseus ring, why in the absolute fuck would they just turn back on that for the sake of those who tortured, lied, and stole from them?
It makes sense for their character to go back to their old ways once regaining their memories.
I'm just gonna say the telling the Truth ending is canon
Becuzz it is
Yeah it is obviously
You mean the one where Europe doesn't get blown up?
Yeah, that's probably a safe bet.
@@Marshall_Thompson yes
Its obvious cuz if woods and mason die there wouldnt be bo2
The “bad” ending is actually the good one ir you think about it
Yes I know because Perseus will treat you like an uncle, welcome you while Adler cannot trust you and will kill you but the reason I like the good one is because it focuses on being on the good side, does not kill your favorite black ops characters and succeeding the mission.
Good one for Bell
I dont think that It is the good one for half of fuckin' europe
How is it good you literally nuke millions of people up because of "muh cumrade"
Tying up loose ends
@@extinctiongaming3556 Unfortunately Cold war didn't folow through on that ending detail of BO1. It was called Operation Charybdis, and I guarantee that's where BO2 would have been if it didn't have to take place in the future as well. I hoped this game would, and the beginning part was solid, but none of these endings are satisfying in the slighted
I completely understand why he did it and I would’ve probably done the same but I still picked the ending to kill him and everyone because they deserved it for what they did
True but we don’t know who died and who lived

I’m just saying woods and mason could of easily done this without Adler trying to 1 up the Russians with mind control , he brought this on himself
Plot twist: Bell betrays both the cia and the soviets
He/she was the main bad guy the whole time and knew that the whole time just playing with the CIA to think that he/she was being controlled. Then puts a bullet into the head of Perseus becoming the new head and orders an assassin to put a bullet in the head of the US president to tie up loose ends. After that he/she gets every nuke from the Soviets and the US to blow the entire world into a nuclear winter. Dun…Dun…DUNN
American: on your feet soldier,
British: on your feet lad,
Australian: on your feet mate,
Soviet: on your feet comrade.
Patriot ending: “He’s too dangerous to be left alive!”
Soviet ending: “What’s up Comrade, how have you been!”
I don’t think I could do the bad ending, snuffing out Woods and Mason would make me sad.
The good ending for bo2 was to kill Harper and this is just for shits and giggles
It's not a bad ending if it's for mother Russia🤷
This campaign sucked so hard, how is it Entertaining at all?
It revealed what I knew all along, that the Cold War turned an entire generation evil.

LMFAO
It’s such a nice touch that when you lie and say duga your old teams names turn red
Seeing as how Solovetsky was awaiting "Perseus" signal to detonate, I honestly thought there's be an ending where you could run the Russian ambush into a CIA trap, kill Perseus AND stop the bombs in time, or let the ambush kill Adler and the rest of the team for what they did to Bell, then kill Perseus afterwards and choose to detonate the bombs and become the new leader of the Soviet revolution or cancel the detonation and have a mysterious ending where everyone dies except Bell who after a post credit mission goes after Hudson since he's as much of a mastermind in all of this as Perseus was
The bad ending is so fucking amazing and scary at the same time
You get such a satisfying end at being the worst case scenario that it gets frightening to have to participate to all of this bad stuff
Good job on that
Notice how Adler‘s name is red when you lie? Because now you’re not in the same side as Adler
Fun fact: in the last mission no matter which ending you get your character model is actually stone from multiplayer
My theory: bell is stone, he survived and changed his name
I picked the “good” ending, and it goes to show that u have to do whatever it takes to save the world and it’s never personal
"Good" is only matter of perspective, saving your homeland and yourself also a good choice. This is why it's a good game, you get consequences of your every action, no utopian choice.

When Adler says “we’ve got a live one here” and saves Bell,it reminds me of MW3 where the medic helps Yuri
Anyone else realize when you go into Perseus room before going to the computer, look around and you’ll see sticky notes referring to BO1 saying “Why can’t I remember” and “PAIN PAIN PAIN” and “Who am i?”, etc.
