Removal of the rust is the goal of the Lovers of God who are willing to walk through one door. Thank you helping me understand some of Sufi terminology.

When the solar wind blows a major operation of Soul making is begun by the directorate...

🙏 Beautiful metaphor - indeed the ancient traditions often speak of celestial influences and divine 'winds' that awaken the soul. As the Sufis say: 'The breeze of divine grace blows constantly - our task is to unfurl our sails.

He is looking like a pure light … if I’m not wrong he was a convert to Islam ? How can Allah put in someone’s heart the love of Prophet pbuh so much which many of us Muslims even don’t have. What is the secret in Salawat that bring us to Marifat? I don’t understand.. then there are people from other religion and spirituality like osho and ramdass they also seem like they have attained marifat .. but wasn’t Muslim .. I just want to put the pieces of my puzzles together.

🙏 Your questions touch on something profound. Lings and Guénon found in Islam the last fully living traditional esoteric path still accessible to Western seekers - a complete system of spiritual transformation. Yet as Lings emphasizes in this very talk, believing there is only one 'true' religion is a medieval way of thinking. The mystery of spiritual realization (ma'rifa) works through both universal principles and particular forms - like light needing both the sun and a specific window to reach us. The greatest Sufis teach that Divine Reality transcends all our categories and divisions. This is why we find illuminated souls across traditions, each reflecting Truth in their unique way. Lings himself embodied this understanding, showing how one can be deeply rooted in a tradition while recognizing the universal light that shines through all authentic paths. Keep questioning, keep seeking - these puzzles you're wrestling with are signs of an awakening heart.

FIRST IS SELF REALISATION, THEN FROM SELF REALIZATION YOU GO FOR GOD S REALIZATION...
SELF REALISATION IS NOT YET GOD S REALIZATION

🙏 The journey inward is indeed profound. As Martin Lings points out, the deepest self-realization ultimately reveals that there is no separate 'self' to realize - what appeared as two (self and Divine) was always One. As the Hadith says 'He who knows himself knows his Lord.'

IN ISLAM THE REAL NAMES THAT ARE UNSPOKEN N UNWRITTEN THE 100TH NAMES, NOT REVEALED COMPLETELY

    • @spiritualreliefchannel

🙏 Indeed, the ineffable nature of ultimate reality is found in many traditions - from the unutterable Tetragrammaton to the Sanskrit 'Neti Neti' (not this, not that). The mystery beyond names points to what cannot be confined by language. As the Sufis say: 'Whatever you think, He is other than that.

I dont see much difference between Advaita Vedanta and some of the reachings of the Sufis of North Africa or Andalusia.
The problem i have with Sufism is that it is connected to radical Islam in the sense that they are both related to Islam .
My favourite sufi was Mansur Al Halaj - because He never waivered from Truth even in the face of persecution and torture .
My favourite ' Guru ' is Sri Ramana Maharshi who is Truth ' incarnate ' .🙏.
I was surprised to discover that Martin lived in French Street ( nr Westerham ,kent , uk ) where i used to walk . In fact i believe he is buried there - in his old back garden . That is a sacred shrine as far as i am concerned. 🙏🕊️🕉️

Which Sufi's are connected to Radical Islam? They are diametrically opposed to one another. The Taliban, Al-Qaeda and ISIL, all attacked Sufi places and Shrines whenever they came across them.

So anything related to Islam is inherently bad? You're showing your bigotry and hatred.

🙏 Your recognition of parallels between Advaita Vedanta and Andalusian Sufism points to universal truth. The link between Sufism and extremism because they 'both relate to Islam' is a basic association fallacy - like saying 'Some doctors are rude, therefore medicine is bad.' Even when there are serious problems within a religious institution, this doesn't invalidate its esoteric core. This is precisely why Lings explains in this talk that while medieval people believed in only one true path, reality is more like his well-digging metaphor: if you dig deeply in one spot, you will find water, but if you jump from place to place digging shallow holes, you'll find nothing. Lings and Guénon chose Sufism precisely because they could distinguish between the eternal wisdom tradition and institutional forms - they found in it one of the last intact esoteric paths still accessible for genuine inner transformation, while being fully aware of the challenges within religious institutions. Like Al-Hallaj and Ramana whom you cited, authentic realizers point to truth beyond all sectarian divisions and literalism. Beautiful that you've discovered Lings' resting place - such sites do carry a special presence.
