Sonyabecca Stove Fan 8 Blade Twin Motor Heat Powered Wood Stove Fans 138mm Height Fireplace Fan 31% Fuel Cost Silent for Insert Fireplace Fans
    by Sonyabecca
8 BLADE TWIN MOTOR: Upgrade 8 blades, double motors, blow wind up to 430 ft/m, air flow range up to 430CFM, diffusing warm air throughout the whole room. Just place the stove fan on a smooth flat surface of your stove top ,near the side or back of the stovepipe. Need to place stove fan at least 4" away from stovepipe. It will work when the stove surface hot.
HEAT POWERED: Heat powered wood stove fans generate power by converting the heat from stove into electricity, electricity generating units convert the heat energy into kinetic energy to drive the motor, then the blades spin.No batteries or electricity required, eco-friendly.
50°C(122°F)-340°C(644°F) WORKING TEMPERATURE: The fan spins when the temperature is reached 50°C(122°F).The hotter the base of the fan gets, the faster the fan turns, and the more air the fan circulates into the room. It will slow down and stop as the stove cools. Also come with a magnetic thermometer to monitor temperature.
ANODIZED ALUMINUM MATERIAL&OVER HEAT PROTECTION: The whole fan is made from anodized aluminum, which will not rust or corrode when the fan is getting hot. There is iron sheet on the stove fan bottom, well protect fan from damage due to high temperature.
SILENT OPERATION: As the stove warms up, the wood fireplace Stove fan runs faster and faster, distributing the heat to the far corners of the room. And even at top speed, there is hardly a whisper. It’s almost totally silent.(The stove fan makes less than 25 dB even going hard).
Why do I need a mini stove fan?
The stove fan work without any batteries, so operate for free.
It equalizes the warmth produced from your wood burning stove around the room, that’s why a stove fan is a great idea.
If you want to push the hot air from your wood stove around the space more effectively then a stove fan is a really good idea.
Many homes that have classical install iron fireplaces that have a limited space on the top. However, many stove fans in the market are not suitable for these homes.
Now Sonyabecca extra mini stove fan which height is 13.7cm to meet their requirement.

Check the temperature in the middle of the room with just the stove burning. Put the fans on the hot stove top and check the room temperature again. This will show the overall effect of the fans.

Thanks for the review. The fan is to sit at the back of heater (cool air) and definitely not in front of the flue, as the flue heats the motor and wires.

its not an "insulator" block, its a Peltier block. It works in reverse too, if you apply current to it, 1 side will get hot, and the other will get cold.

    • @chubbysumo2230

@@petervonpanda more or less. Its not very efficient, as you can see, it takes a lot of heat difference to make only a tiny amount of voltage.

@@petervonpanda I'm curious - blow on it with a leaf blower or something and see how warm/cool it gets. I believe it's the bottom which will get cool, and the upper which will get warm.

@@chubbysumo2230 You can talk about low voltage but the proof is in the pudding. Truth is SOME work very well. I was quite surprised how much better my Little Buddy propane heater works with a $57 Voda 350 cfm dual-fan sitting on top; I'd say it heats my garage/man cave about 3 to 4 times as fast. Heat goes forward and hardly any goes straight up which was very noticeable before. The blades start turning within 1 minute of lighting the heater and accelerate as it gets warmer; full speed within 2 to 3 minutes if it's on High setting but by then it's putting out so much heat you'll probably turn it down. Honestly.
I sit about 5' from mine and when it's running on Low I feel a nice, broad air stream that's pleasantly warm. They're not toys nor cheaply made novelty items although the blades are exposed so you need to be careful handling the unit like any other small electrical device. I used heavy copper wire to affix the fan to the top of my heater to prevent it being knocked off. If the one I have now ever gets ruined somehow I'll get another immediately, probably the same one.

I have a pair of these type fans for my inset stove , which fortunately stands out about 5” from the fireplace so I can stand the fans on top directly above the vents , the fans really do push the heat outward from the stove , in fact the granite shelve directly above the fans stays cool whereas before I had the fans it used to get very hot, so I would definitely recommend them to help push the heat round the room

I have a Voda double fan that cranks 380 cfm sitting on top of my Little Buddy propane heater. Used heavy copper wire to affix so it can't fall off. GREAT invention, warms my entire garage. Propane now is over $4/gal so I don't run it as much as I used to. I blame Joe.

There is quite some physics involved with this device, which should be explained, when you zry to discuss it. The "insulation block" is the key to the functionality of this fan. It is a TEG, a thermal electric generator. In computers it is used in reversed order to cool down CPU´s. The upper part with the tubes behind the fans is a heat sink. Its purpose is to expose a maximum surface to the moving air. That is why it has a grooved surface. The grooves increase the surface area thus more thermal energy can be radiated out into the (relatively cool) moving air stream. Temperature difference is the key here. 200C on the bottom base and 80C on the top part make this work. I don´t want to be smart ass, but you make a better impression, if you educate yourself before you go public with anything.

That strip on the bottom i think is a different metal that when it gets hot will lift the front of the unit so it does not get so much heat transferred into the body . Clever simple idea

  • @kevinc1851
    @kevinc1851 3 роки тому +2

It`s not called an insulator. it`s a thermal electric chip. The same technology is used in the electric coolers in reverse

ANOTHER YT'er who evidently cannot read instructions.... For proper operation the fans need to pull in cooler air versus the hot bottom plate. Placing the fan DIRECTLY in front of the stove vent tube is providing just the opposite - HOTTER air than what would be normally pulled in from the sides. The BEST location for these fans is AT THE VERY BACK, ON THE SIDES, that way the fans have much cooler air coming from the unheated rear area of the stove top and the airflow would also be flowing over the stove-top....

    • @tomgardner5006

Calm down. I use a thermoelectric fan on the top front of my woodstove and it works perfectly. You may not be aware of this, but the air directly above the Woodstove is a few hundred degrees cooler than the stove surface.
