@@Baablu Fair - I thought the chat message would've still been visible despite zooming in, but after looking back and seeing how small your gui scale is, you evidently had to zoom in quite far, which explains why the achievement was cut off.
Sorry for the false accusation, I just see so many fake manhunts out there now that I'm sceptical (probably too sceptical) of everything, and that caused me to jump to a not very well-founded conclusion. The pearls went through the portal which wouldn't teleport you because of you not being in the nether. And they went straight through the portal because they are entities just like items
