  • I do like the Ark Gravity a lot and since making this video I have used It several more times and I have been able to cast my 1/16 oz jigs so I am very pleased with the purchase so far. Links to Gear are below.

    Since making this I have thrown 1/16 oz jigs and cheb rigs with the ARK without issues, I think my leader knot had too much friction in my tiny line guides the first trip, and another trip I think Ice in the guides was causing friction. Since then no real issues with backlashing so I’m pleased. ALSO, biggest change that makes a huge difference is changing the internal brakes from 1 to 2, that solved the backlashing issues too.

      I loved for the little while I had it. A striper broke me off on the hook set a few trips back 💀. Thanks for the support from the Midwest man 🙌🏽. Are you catching on the micro?

    Great video. The fidhing has been slow here as well even though the ive is gone out of the ladt 3 trips out got skunked the furst one, the 2nd one only got a Bluegill and a nice Red eared Sunfish, the last one git 3 Bass all the bass were caught with a micro jig. Keep up the grind it will get better

    I've been seeing post of people catching top water with the rat lures around DFW. You should give your micro rat a try.

    I owned the Haibo Arise Air which basically the same reel just in the Chinese Market, plus most Ark reel is made in China from Haibo. enable to cast 1/16oz or lighter weight lure 9you must have your rotor set to level 2 and the external dial is 75% close to MAX and just cast it

    • @clintonbruning

      Yep I changed the rotor from 1 to 2 and it was a game changer

      @@clintonbruning you’ll have to adjust your casting power/pressure to a lighter/softer flick of the wrist motion, you can’t be casting like how you normally cast that won’t work on ultra light lure, if you can’t adjust then ultra light lure might not be for you. By lowering the brakes system it allows the light lure to have a low start up inertia, if you fish your normal brakes setting the ultra light lure weight will be choke up while you make a cast and you won’t get any good fish-able distance and the lure fly to the left if you cast with your right hand; just saying from experience

      @@leepao6302 nah, I can rip crankbaits, swimbaits, and jigs around now, I power fish even though I throw finesse gear. I’ve got them dialed now. Thank you for the input though. I’ll keep all that in mind 🤙🏽. Thanks for watching man.

      @@gregchilders7643 it would do it easily I bet. There 3 levels of internal brakes, 1-3 1 is essentially like no brakes at all for tiny bites and really light line and soft casting, and I was trying to power fish on 1 😂. Hey bud have you set the inductor cup on your spool too 2 yet ? I had the same problem and when I switched over to the 2 setting I was totally mind blown on what this reel can do. I can throw 1/20 Zman shroom heads and the micro finesse baits that are less than an inch long . This reel and an ultra finesse rod will make your head spin. Good luck and keep up the great work on your videos love the music you play.

    When did bait casters become known as BFS?

    • @clintonbruning

      It’s just a category of bait casters designed to throw really small baits. They have super light shallow spools for small diameter line.

    Im so stoked you got the hog farmer micro flex, I've been eye balling that new rig heavily. Sick to see one of my fav channels trying it out! I'm mostly curious how soft the arms are when pulsing the rig... TB seems big on using slightly lighter wire on their a-rigs to make the pump/pulse action better.

    Had a couple of days in the 60's. I finaly got out yesterday and bank fished one of my favorite little lakes . I caught a 4lb'er and lost a bigger one, and some smaller ones. The 4lb'er is my PB so far on BFS. GO CHIEF'S and Thanks for the video 😊

    • @clintonbruning
      @clintonbruning  5 місяців тому +1

      I need to make a video on best line for which baits I’m throwing for sure. But in general I go 6 lb red label fluoro for 1/8 oz baits and below, for baits heavier than that except for a few moving baits 7 lb dc sniper has been lights out. Ill use 4 lb flouro for really light baits sometimes or to fish deeper.
