I recently rewatched Death Note and have been fixated on the rain scene and L's premonition of his own death, then this animatic popped up and it was the PERFECT recommendation for me. It fits with L painfully well and bonus points for making it ace friendly :)
This animation is so well done same with L. This shockingly kinda matches Light. Light is trying to say that there isn't enough justice so he will kill every bad person including anyone who gets in his way. Even if it mean killing someone who done nothing wrong like L.
I could see Musical L and Light in the reprise honestly, since it ends with them in a gun showdown. And it would break my heart hearing L- "I wish your dad were good I wish grown ups understood. I wish we'd met before they convinced us life was war. I wish you'd come with me-"
