Definatly the nicest trigger right out of the bow perfect pistol for the range the pro model gives you at least 400$ in extras for a 150$ price great deall.😊

The trigger is great, but we just found out it doesn't make the gun. There is more to the PDP Pro. Working on the SF Match review tonight and the results were surprising. Thanks for the comment.

I had my PDP Pro 4.6 at the range last Friday and it has instantly become my second favorite gun to shoot (I love my 1911’s). I’m definitely going to buy the Holosun SCS because of it being a direct mount red dot (the fact it is solar is also kind of nice too!) and my Herrington comp just showed up yesterday. Herrington recommends putting a couple of hundred rounds through the PDP before installing the comp, so I’ll do that. I hear you on the sights, Walther could have done a better job there but the guide rod isn’t a big deal to me (Glocks also come with polymer guide rods).

We picked up the Harrington comp, but we haven't tried it yet. I expect good things as the gun is already pretty bad ass. Thanks for commenting.

The best polymer wonder out there!

While I am not a fan of having to replace plastic parts, It's hard to argue the shooting magic this gun posseses. German engineering at its finest. Thanks for the comment.

I agree on the more noticeable recoil but I personally dont think its much of a difference. If you shoot 45 or any other caliber bigger than 9mm, you shouldnt have a problem. Its still a 9. It can easily be overcome with a solid technique. I call it bonding time 😂. When you mentioned the return to zero I knew what you meant. I think we get used to the way it recoils. If you notice you dont have to fight the recoil much. You feel it more but then it quickly snaps back to your original point of aim. Some magic for sure.

We shoot .45 and .357 Magnum, here and there, and the recoil is easily manageable, but when looking at this as a potential competition gun, any advantage is welcome. My goal is to make a gun as easily shootable as possible, and having the pistol do most of the work. We have a lot of firearms and they all feel different to shoot. This one has something going for it that tempts me to change out some parts, which I initially hadn't planned on. I am glad we are not alone in thinking this has a pretty distinct return to zero. Our review of the steel frame PDP should be done soon. Interesting results. Thanks for the comment.

I can’t believe what I just witnessed in your followup video review of the Walther PDP Pro SD firearm. As a standard PDP owner, I was truly impressed with your candid honesty and accurate assessment in your first review regarding the multiple imperfections of the PDP line that Walther willingly elected to market. I found your review and your replies spot on with regard to these preventable flaws in relation to the actual cost factor of this firearm.
Having said all that, I have watched multiple videos regarding the PDP platform and other comparable firearms and I have NEVER seen a reviewer do such an “About FACE”, or 180° turnaround, or “walk back” commentary as you have done in this followup review… too funny!
Vinny, you went from calling out Walther for selling a firearm that “kicks as a mule” with “junk” parts that requires additional after-market purchases so as to make it as it should have come out of the box to now exclaiming that “…there’s something special about this gun”… it has some type of mojoey-magic type of thing going on!” …WTF!
I encourage you to go back and watch the video when you said that because even Shannon couldn’t help but display a comical grin while you praised the PDP Pro SD in such a manner… lol!
Be honest, did Walther send you a free firearm or perhaps a check? Anyway, although I may question your genuineness as a reviewer… I am a fan as you are entertaining as hell!

Thanks for the comment. I did not receive a check from Walther. They do not know I exist. However, even if I had received a check, I would still say Walther puts plastic crap parts on the gun, and it will cost you money to make it the way it should have been out of the box. That view hasn't changed. I hope I can shed some light on why we did a follow up, and what it was actually about. As you know, I already stated all the negatives in the first video, and I even touch on them in the follow-up, and I specifically recommend people go watch the actual review before watching the second vid. The follow-up is an honest assessment and not a 180 on the gun. Here's why: In the first video I clearly state the PDP is an excellent firearm, and we shot it amazingly, even though it is so over sprung. My issue was never with the platform, it was with the business practice Walther chose. Also, I wanted to call out the fact that the gun was overhyped as "the most complete, and best firearm, out of the box", when it clearly is not, especially if you are running an optic, and definitely not at that price. The first video was posted on January 12th, and the follow up was on Feb 4th. We shoot at least once per week, so we had it back to the range multiple times, and we could not ignore the crazy, tight groups we get with it, even with the heavy spring, which is why we did a follow-up video. We shoot a lot of firearms, and this thing continues to surprise us, and frankly, baffle us, as to how we manage to shoot it the way we do. I was also hoping to get some info regarding changes in recoil springs, from the viewers, as we thought it may alter the gun negatively. Lastly, we liked the way it shot so much, we bought the steel frame, thinking it would correct some of the issues with the polymer version, due to its weight and stainless steel guide rod. The review of the steel frame is mostly done, but it is not what we expected. It is turning into a sad review indeed. I do not pull punches, and I will call out Walther again for the crap business practices. The difference is, the SF version is not the same as the PDP and removes some of the things we actually really liked about the polymer version, like the way it feels in the hand, and the pointability. We are giving the SF one more range trip, to get it to about 1000 rounds, but it is not looking good at this point. I hope I cleared up why we did a follow-up, and what it was actually referring to. Honesty in these reviews is essential to us, and why we made a channel in the first place. I hope this explains things. Thanks again for tuning in to our channel, and thanks for the comment. Oh, and Shannon smiled at me because she thought saying "mojo-ie-magic" was funny.

By the way, To ensure No one else mistakes our follow for a 180, I changed the title to include the words "cheap plastic parts". Lol. Again, you will see in the PDP Steel Frame review, which we already recorded, that I don't shill. Thanks for giving me a reason to go back and watch our fine work. 🙂

Geez Louise, Vinny, I’m not sure my lighthearted commentary warranted such extensive responses. I certainly appreciate all that you shared in attempting to clarify your analysis objectives with your second PDP Pro SD review.
As I stated, you are really good at what you do and you certainly have an entertaining way to share your knowledge and expertise. It’s obvious that you and Shannon seem to truly enjoy the work that goes into your channel. You both are to be commended for helping your viewers gain a better understanding of the unique complexities of various firearms and those who manufacture them. Thanks!

I dont think the sights suck. They are adequate. Plenty of vids showing those who can use standard sights can have very good groups at distance. I would never just rely on an optic things can happen. Be proficient learn both well. Not trying to be a snob js

In the Marine Corps we only had irons on our M16-A2s, and I shot irons on pistols for many years, so I am proficient with with them. The problem is, I can't see them very well anymore, especially, three little, plastic, white dots. In my actual review of the gun, I stated it shot well with irons, and we had really nice groups. I also said in this video, it really depend on the day, with irons, as my eyes are jacked up after work, so it makes it really hard to use them. It's better on the weekends, when I haven't been staring at a computer all day. But that also brings up a deficiency in this gun. As you said, you should never just rely on an optic. The sights they give you on this gun are not co-witnessable when you attach an optic, other than the Holosun SCS, which means you have to swap them out if you want a back up sighting system. This is a cost cutting measure by Walther, and compared to nearly every other gun I own, some of which are much less expensive, these really are junk sights, especially for an optic ready, duty gun. Sorry that ran so long. I appreciate the comment.

I just got my suppressor height sights I installed them with a nylon punch and a glock front sight tool because I use my rugged obsidian and it's a bit wide for the standard sights they ate metal and they have tritium viles the front dot is larger than the rear I bought them because I don't have a red dot and I don't plan to get one I learned on regular sights and changing to a red dot after 40 years doesn't really interest me

@@RussellMorash-m8w we get it, some people are not into optics. I went with a similar sight setup on the PDP Steel Frame. Really just for co-witnessing, in case th optic goes down, which has happened. Thanks for the comment.
