Dad's right! I remember the tattooed ears! Also, I took a lot horns off! Back in the 70's a lot of farmers had a high rate of aborted calves, I think they narrowed it down to urea in the feed! I got to tell you this- I went into CVS and was a little irritated because I was headed home, and I needed the wife's meds. The pharmacist was on lunch, so I had to wait, well afterwards she explained to me that they were to have lunch, and I told her that was nonsense, because where I worked and I was on lunch, I always waited on costumers anyways, So I told her when I farmed , we didn't get lunch, and told her I milked cows with one hand and ate sandwiches with the other, so about a month went by and they wanted to know if i wanted a flu shot, so I said yes, you guessed it, it was her, so I roll up my sleave and she was about to stick me and she stopped suddenly and says, Oh! you're the cow guy!! AH No , That had to be my brother, I'm a meat cutter! she just gave me that squint eye look ,like are you sure, yes I have 4 brothers! Then after the shot, I told her it was me and she was going to get revenge! She said No, I wouldn't do that! Oh YA!🤣🤣! well I apologized and I left on good terms!
There was a vet here in central Minnesota. He could walk through a tie stall barn give cattle shots under the tail and they never even jumped or kicked. The next vet that came around the cattle were really jumpy. God bless
In VA, all females have to be vaccinated against brucellosis to be shown or go through Pedigreed sales. It gives you peace of mind. MLV vaccines are more effective than killed type, but there are restrictions on pregnant animals. Great video, and informative for people outside of the business.👍👍
Yep, always vaccinate for Bang's Disease and leptospirosis. I remember those tags and the tattoo's. I remember in the 70's Dad sold lots of springers to get the financing to add on to the barn to house the herd later on.

They are taking advantage of us on everything. From gas food clothes just like you. I farmed all my life. Between the farm and the trucking company one is as bad as the other. People are very stupid this g😮is crazy. I feel sorry for our kids. If they don't change this dirty gogovernment they are going to be sorry this time God bless them

Hello guys, the cattle with the vaccination is like a pig after castration. They seem to always give you the sideways look, like they don’t forget. Great job on looking after the animals to the best of your knowledge and ability 🙌💪👊✌️

Now that the truth about vaccines is now public and the lies dispelled, understandably us consumers are very nervous about the vaccines used in our food. I do not ever remember my dad vaccinating any cow. And we had all dairy cows, mainly Holstiens. We never lost a cow either. The only cow I remember we lost was because she got hit with lightenning.
