Play them and we will come ... we Home Fries (Home Free fans) love watching someone discover this amazing group of guys ! Try "Brothers In Arms" or "Helplessly Hoping" for pure harmony magic or their "Can't Stop The Feeling" , "Listen To The Music" , or "Hillbilly Bone" for their lighter side ... there are too many covers and originals to name ! These guys are all individually talented artists but together, they are pure perfection ! and wait til you experience their world class beat boxer ... hang on , it's a long journey down this rabbit hole !!!
Welcome to the fabulous world of Home Free, the best a cappella band out there. They lean towards country but can sing any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They have the tightest harmonies, best bass singer & world class vocal percussionist. This song shows their fun side but they do so much more. Most new reactors start with "Man Of Constant Sorrow". They do awesome covers but also a lot of original songs as 3 of them are songwriters.
Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam )sing the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time they each have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire can make almost any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) Very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )Voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. He has left the group and Adam Bastien taken his place just a couple of weeks ago Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass Deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean: Vincent Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Any many many more. They have amazing songwriters in the group Tim, and Chance so they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony masterpiece ) Can’t Outrun You Brothers In Arms Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft video game Skull And Bones) Life Is A Highway Stand By Me Jump Right In Any Way The Wind Blows I’ve Seen (Original by Tim) Your Man Crazy Life ( newest release) Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 200+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO Sorry for the long read 🏠🍟
Please understand that they do way more than just humorous songs. IMHO their catalog is just as impressive as that of Pentatonix. Here are some to consider: End of the Road, When a Man Loves a Woman, Brothers in Arms, Everybody Walking this Land, and so many more
This is their annual April Fools Day release. I guarantee that if you look through their catalog you will find something that you know even though they are known for their country sound.
They do an amazing cover of American Pie with Don McLean, other popular song are "Man of Constant Sorrow" "Ring of Fire" "Elvira" Featuring the Oak Ridge Boys "God Bless the USA" featuring Lee Greenwood "End of the Road" and one that's not as popular as it should be "One voice" featuring Billy Gillman.
Home Free is so good. Love this! So clever and they never exploited women, only showing their own butts. Overall guy is Beugs, he’s a friend of Rob’s (sunglasses). He knows no shame and is in other HF videos. So much fun and they always sound good..
Welcome to the party! #homefree has a great soloists, including one of the best beatboxers in the business, unbelievable harmonies, and a huge catalog of music, ranging the gamut in style and mood. Starting with Man of Constant Sorrow and Folsom Prison Blues gives you a good idea of their country vein. For R&B: Stand by Me, End of the Road (BoyzIIMen), When a Man Loves a Woman, Blue Ain't Your Color, and their mashup of Thinking Out Loud (Sheeran) and Let's Get It On (Marvin Gaye).
So Home Free are another of the 3 top tier acapella groups out there. This one is SO MUCH FUN! I saw you smile..... Now you have another deep dive. The 3rd for you to check out is VoicePlay. We call them the "Theater kids" They are vastly different and just as amazing! They have a LOT of guest singers in their covers. This is so much fun.....
Welcome to the homefree rabbit whole. Here is a good suggestion listen to man of constant sorrow, if you want a good laugh watch homefree's brother video champagne taste on a beer budget and their newer version which is called champagne taste. They have some Johnny Cash covers like two versions of Ring of fire. Just wait until you get to know the group and what they can do vocally before you check out they mayday cover. Also check out homefree's boxer Adam Rupp's drum solo he does in their live concerts that fans have posted here on youtube. They also have some class cover like hillbilly bone and country roads.
Also try "In the Blood" (serious, one of my Home Free favorites) and "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" (yeah-not so serious!). I have really enjoyed your thoughtful responses to Pentatonix and now Home Free. The Pentaholics are already showing up. The Home Fries won't be far behind. And a lot of us will show up for both (Penta-Fries? I can't remember, but dual fans have a name, too). For more acapella, also check out VoicePlay and Voctave.
Here are the Songs Featured: Honky Tonk Badonkadonk ( Trace Adkins) Wiggle (Jason DeRulo ft Snoop Dogg) Fat Bottom Girls ( Queen) Baby Got Back ( Sir Mix-A-Lot) Thong Song ( Sisqo) Country Girl (Shake it For Me) ( Luke Bryan)
Home Free does a variety of stuff some funny stuff, some more serious. They also are not exclusively country, they do different genres as well and have covers and originals. I'm not a country music lover, but I do like Home Free because they have some amazing vocal talent including an amazing beatboxer that adds a upbeat to about everything that they do. It's amazing to listen to.
Home Fry here, I'll be subscribing to follow you in your discovery of how amazing Home Free is. I prefer their music to that of PTX. Life is a Highway and Listen to the Music are both great ones to check out. For something slower, End of the Road or Go Rest High on that Mountain are excellent choices.
It's a mix and parody of themselves. Because they respect women, they took all the cheap shots at themselves. They also cover All About That Bass in a similar manner. Great musical chops and silly fun
This is one of their fun songs. You have to check out some of their regular music. They are great! Also, check out Voiceplay. They are also a great a capella group.
I love their version of Love Train, and their version of Doobie Brothers Listen to the music. And of course, When a man loves a woman, and Man of constant sorrow. You can't go wrong with them. But they ALL can sing, and switch up a whole lot. Might take you a few more, to hear each one lead. But it's worth it!
They showed their butts because they didn't want to disrespect women. The guy in. the overall shorts is a friend of Rob's the guy that did the rap part. He's in other video's of Home Free.
I'm not positive, but the "overall guy" might be an homage to the "overall guy" in Maddie and Tae's tune "Girl in a Country Song." It is very funny. Even if you don't like country music much, it's worth a listen/reaction.
I like your smooth style. Subscribed for more Home Free. I am also a fan of Voiceplay and Pentatonix. There are more good a cappella groups worth a look as well.
If you like this one.. listen to Trace Adkins...country singer.. Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.. Just a fun song. I would call this original because the incorporate so many good songs into it.. My favorite cover of theirs is hands down.. Boyz II Men.. End of the Road.... they are incredible covering it
In an interview Chris Rupp (black cowboy hat) said this was his pet project. His sister (Tristin) had worked with a modeling agency and that's where most of the women were from. Since they didn't want to objectify the women, the only 'butts' are theirs. The man in the one-shoulder overalls at the end is 'Beugs' a friend of Rob Lundquist (glasses & beard) and co-hosts on Rob's podcast "The Avid Indoorsman" doing movie reviews. IMHO, they're THE best band of any genre.
First things first: you stopped too soon. You missed the several seconds of outtakes at the very end. The guy in the cut-off overalls is Eric Beugler. Beugs is a good friend of the band and co-hosts a movie review/game podcast with Rob (in the shades) called The Avid Indoorsmen. For other Home Free mashups try Queen in 5 Minutes, Boy Bands in 5 Minutes, and Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get it On. The couple in that one is Reilly and Mckenzie Zamber, aka The Hound + the Fox. Their video Thinking Out Loud came out 4 day after that one, showing them getting ready for their date. They also made an appearance in Home Free's Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. A couple other a cappella groups that have a strong friendship and work relationship with Home Free members are VoicePlay (known as the Theater Kids of a cappella having got their start in Florida's theme parks, and The Bass Gang, four bass singers with amazing voices from three different continents. Check them out in Arabian Nights and Gaston (#s 1 & 4 in a storyline that works around the fact that Marwan could leave his country and meet up with the other three).
And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so doomed. We’ll save you a chair. You’re about to be buried in Home Fries. Brace yourself. Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks while they were scattered across the country. God bless ‘em. All the men can beat box, but Adam Rupp is in a league of his own. He’s a world-class vocal percussionist and there’re good reasons he’s called a “Freak of Nature” and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam’s incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete’s sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain’t Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (sleigh bells? seriously?) or his drum solos. For more of Tim’s seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version). This man’s range is incredible. You won’t want to miss his 5-octave run in 5 seconds in “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Tim also has a solo channel which you can view at www.timfoustmusic.com For Chance’s smooth baritone/bass, check out Skull & Bones, Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, Cover Me Up, I Can’t Outrun You, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome... a basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. If you enjoy sea shanties, you must check out Skull and Bones, the official video.. The folks at Ubisoft heard Home Free’s Sea Shanty Medley, and contacted them to write a shanty for their upcoming video game of the same name. Chance has a particular fondness for shanties, so this was right up his alley. Chance was formerly a member of Street Corner Symphony from 2010 - 2016 before joining Home Free in 2016 after the departure of co-founder Chris Rupp. You can find his solo work and collaborations at www.theadamchance.com For Rob’s soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain’t Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.) One Home Fry has described him as the vocal equivalent of a Swiss Army knife because of his versatility. Just wait until you hear him whistle! Rob and his friend Buegs host a podcast called “The Avid Indoorsmen” where they review movies, etc. You’ll find Buegs’ cameo in the Home Free video “The Butts Remix.” He’s wearing overalls. Don’t worry - you can’t miss him. You can check out their podcast at www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-avid-indoorsmen--3265024 For Austin’s soaring tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he’ll sing you right out of it.) Austin left HF in June 2024. He’s newly married, and hasn’t been at home for Christmas in ten years due to Home Free’s heavy touring schedule. There are hundreds of videos with him, though, so you’ll still run into his work. You can also check out his solo work at www.austinbrownmusic.com Adam Bell-Bastien stepped into Austin’s tenor spot in June 2024. He’s currently on tour with HF, and we finally got to hear him singing the lead in Something To Talk About. Home Free introduced him right. He debuted at the Grand Ole Opry with the Home Free men on June 22, 2024. He’s a fine addition to the band. So, yeah. Three of the five members of Home Free are named Adam. You’ll hear them referred to as “Chance,” “Bastien,” and “Rupp.” If they’re just using the name Adam, they’re talking about Adam Rupp, vocal percussionist extraordinaire. For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Life Is A Highway, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget (The older video. Tim wrote the worst country song he could think of, and it remains one of their most requested.) A word about “Brother” - if you want to hear the lyrics, you’re going to have to listen with your eyes closed, ‘cause otherwise you’ll never get past the humor of the video to actually hear what they’re singing. For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam’s arrangement. Nothing else like it.) For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne. For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let’s Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female. The Home Free men are masters of collaborations. They put the spotlight on their collaborator, supporting them with wonderful vocals and amazing harmonies. Check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie and Vincent with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, Delta Dawn with Brooke Eden, or Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For with Peter Hollens. Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you’ll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim’s mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob’s and Austin’s “Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera.” You’ll need smelling salts after that one. Don’t miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they’ll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother, Life Is A Highway). And God help you when you get hit with the Home Free Curse. They’ll cover a song you absolutely cannot stand and make you like it against your will. I’d been hit by the curse four times before I gave up and quit counting. I’m not the only victim of the Home Free Curse, either. Although their covers are amazing, don’t miss their original compositions. They range from the the poignant (So Long Dixie) to the patriotic (Land Of the Free). These include Dive Bar Saints (one of my favorites), Road Sweet Road, Catch Me If You Can, Lonely Girl’s World, The Stargazer Trilogy (Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies, MR), Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget, Love Me Like That, Skull And Bones, and many, many more. Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road, Only In America) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces.” You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.
They did an INCREIBLE version of "Vincent" with Don McClean... "Vincent" is one of the greatest songs ever written.
Welcome to the fabulous world of Home Free, the best a cappella band out there. They lean towards country but can sing any genre. This is their annual April Fools Day release. I guarantee that if you look through their catalog you will find something that you know even though they are known for their country sound.
For a more serious song, How Great Thou Art!!
More Home Free PLEASE! These guys are sooooo talented
Home Free did a great job on this Butt's Remix. Home Free is hilarious. Home Free is my favorite group. 😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
For five-part harmony and no beatboxing, try their version of How Great Thou Art. It will give you chills.
Oops. YES this is chill inducing!!!
Home Free kept the focus on their butts, because they have respect for women and would not exploit them that way.

You won’t want to miss his 5-octave run in 5 seconds in “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Tim also has a solo channel which you can view at www.timfoustmusic.com
For Chance’s smooth baritone/bass, check out Skull & Bones, Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, Cover Me Up, I Can’t Outrun You, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome... a basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow. You can find his solo work and collaborations at www.theadamchance.com
For Rob’s soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain’t Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. You can check out their podcast at www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-avid-indoorsmen--3265024
For Austin’s soaring tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. You can also check out his solo work at www.austinbrownmusic.com
Adam Bell-Bastien stepped into Austin’s tenor spot in June 2024.
Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
(Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road, Only In America) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces.”
You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.
