    Awesome tone! And fantastic style.
    Sounds like you're doing the EG6 track (or something similar) on the verse before the first chorus? And something similar on that chorus?
    I think staying out on that verse and doing the swells from EG4 in the chorus is a better option to be honest. I think the other parts are just there to be there
    It's a typical Phil Wickham song where there's a million unnecessary EG tracks haha
    To be honest I might steal what you played on the first chorus though and see what we think in rehearsal next time we play this song

      I can’t remember what track it was, but it’s what I settled on. Swells are a great option, too! And I hear you about the Wickham stuff. So. Many. Tracks.

      @@GuitarforHISGlory with my worship team on songs like Battle Belongs we have a Lead map and Rhythm Map where we utilize the best of all the tracks and scrap out the fluff.
      And that way we can have two EGs and zero EG tracks so we have a clearer IEM mix

      @@c0unterac342 People run electric guitar tracks even if they have guitar players? That seems weird to me.

      @@c0unterac342 It sounds like I do the same thing, but I don’t document it. We discuss and “map” everything out so we’re not walking all over each other. I also analyze the parts and determine the best way to combine everything I hear. All that said, your map sounds interesting. I’d be happy to take a look! Troy at GuitarforHISGLORY dot com.

    We're doing this song in the key of "A" and the key of "G". It's always a lot of work learning the song in the original key and then figuring out how to pull it off in the new key. Especially in "G" because you can't just slide down the neck and play the same shapes since the open strings don't translate the feel of the parts. So I love that you take the effort to make these transposed versions because they're a lot of extra work, but even more I love that you always share the gospel in everything you do.

    • @GuitarforHISGlory
      @GuitarforHISGlory  11 місяців тому

      Glad you’re finding these helpful. I didn’t think I was the only one having to transpose from male to female keys. 😂 Yes, glorifying God through sharing the gospel is the primary reason I do this. Soli Deo Gloria!

    We added this song to our playlist this week. I saw that it was in the key of F. I watched several videos trying to get an idea of that intro riff. I looked for a key close to what we are doing and first one that popped up was yours and crazy enough it's in the same key. I have no idea how many songs you've helped me with but it's been quite a few. Thank you and bless you for all your work. Believe me it's appreciated.

    Sir can I ask u a question.. from a beginner standpoint. how can u know the chords and the notes that will be played? .. I mean from regular chords to mixed notes of the finger that be played in every fret?

    • @GuitarforHISGlory
      @GuitarforHISGlory  Рік тому +1

      That’s a great question, and one that is tough to answer. You have to build a foundational knowledge of beginner concepts and basic music theory. I have a course that would be beneficial you. It’s called Worship Guitar Basic Training and it’s at GuitarforHISGLORY.com.
