Hobart Bridge End of an Era edit

This video is about the end of the old Hobart floating bridge and new replacement Tasman bridge.
It includes a drive over the old bridge the temperary section of the Tasman Bridge. Towing away the old bridge and finally the brand new completed bridge opened in 1964.
Terry Miller put in a lot of work documenting this important piece of Tasmanian history.

Michael Miller my guess is mostly weekends it took from August 16th when the old bridge was towed away until December 23 when it was opened so a fair bit of time but I guess he must have had time off for the moving of the steel temporary section and towing away the old bridge. No RDOs in those days.

Tasman bridge suffered major damage from a ship collision in 1975 with 12 deaths. Repaired and reopened 2 years 9 months later. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasman_Bridge_disaster
