I'm not "upper class" or considered "tasteful", but I love Bach's work, especially this piece. I believe true love of music, and understanding music, is not being able to perceive or hear it a certain way, but to feel the beauty and energy of every single note as it entires your body. People "love" their groups genre of music, but only because it is the music that people in their social group listens to. One should love music whos notes speak to ones heart, no matter the genre.
I remember hearing this 6 years ago in 7th grade. I'm in college now ad I still love this. This music will always endure through time. The language of music will preserve itself.
@IshootURface I would have to agree, and while Rostropovitch was, and IS awesome, handel captures the emotion in his movements that I believe that Bach was feeling when he wrote each piece .... Although, I still live the Prelude (No. 1 for those of you that dont understand) the most.
easy? you may have mastered the notes, but do u have the character? cause mastering the character, i guarantee you, will take a whole lot more practice than just 2 days
He Or She Is Right, And The Beats On The Triple Stops Are Not Only On The Top, There On The Bottom Too, And If Your Trying To play This Piece The Main Thing Trying To Work At Is All The Slurs Because That's That Mainly Gives This Piece It's Rhythm.

@IshootURface I CONCUR TO THE FULLEST. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT LIKE THIS. I FEEL THAT THIS IS THE BEST OUT OF ALL OF THE 6. I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS SUITE GOING ON 2 YEARS TO MAKE IT SOUND PHENOMENAL AND IT IS KICKING MY BUTT. BACH WAS REALLY FEELING SOMETHING WHEN HE WROTE THIS SUITE. WOULD YOU NOT CONCUR?

Anytime :) And How Long Have You Worked On It? This Piece Is Easy ._. It Took Me Two Days To Master It.
Playing the Cello is 3% talent and 97% not being distracted by the internet. ...I need to work on my latter part.
