DISGUSTING the way he treated his stepdaughter Kelly in the movie . He deserves Absolutely No forgiveness. It made me in tears . He never showed he cared or took any interest in her even saying don’t listen to me I don’t give good advice as a father or words to that effect . He was a HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE man in this part . I know he was just playing a character. But the character was rotten . Not the actor. That poor girl deserved to be loved , when a parent even a step parent gives advice, makes rules it shows caring . If he couldn’t care for the girl he should never have gone with a woman who had children.

None of you know the pain of this ending. You have to complete the game which has no save features, limited lives and you have to collect every last hidden DNA code from start to finish to get this little cutscene. As a 10 year old I tried forever to make this achievement. Broke the controller and got grounded for a week. It's about time someone confronted this man on his sins after all these years... and he has no regrets. WHY DON'T YOU TRY TO GET THE ENDING GOLDBLOOM? GET TOLD OFF TOO!
SuperNoone89 Nah the compy levels weren't that hard. The rex' later and the male human' later levels were a pain in the ass. Remember as male hunter those little green flying things in the mountains? Jesus
Well it had a password system though... still didn't help for shit. I finally beat it 1 year ago, with SAVESTATES.
I still remember the level select code by muscle memory. You had to input it three times.
I recently impulsed brought the game off eBay thinking 20 years later I could complete the game properly, boy I was wrong. Not being able to save makes this game a friggin gauntlet, some of those compy levels are pure frustration mainly because of the platforming parts and those flowers.
Hunter levels start off decent enough but relying on the grappling hook for the later levels can be hell (and the birds).
Raptor is probably the best character to control, once you get red eye you can plow through the entire level with little issue. Only annoying thing is getting those pachy's to destroy rocks since you'll lose all that red eye you gained earlier if you aren't quick enough.
The fucking rex, powerful, but turns slower than a freight train. The strategy is to pretty much keep moving forward, Don't ever turn around to kill the raptors behind you or you'll get trapped and they do a surprising amount of damage. Fighting humans isn't to bad just don't get hit by rockets.
That first Sarah level is the best though. Nothings gets the adrenaline pumping more than keeping your distance from that rex. It's the one level that my friends would want to play over and over. The rex battle on the boat and be pretty thrilling too.
Don't bother friend. There are thousands of games, old and new, that are worth playing more. And did you really pay 10 bucks for this game? I would give my copy away for free if I had known you IRL.
I used an emulator to do it too.... Got to love modern techs broken power over old tech.

I remember playing Lost World as a kid and thinking it looked just like the movie, I was so sure video games could never look more realistic, boy was I wrong.
Never got to the ending, but I still had a blast. Had no idea this was the ending.
Lost World at my friend's house was my introduction to the world of 3d games. I had only seen nes games before so needless to say I was pretty amazed.

We really need another awesome Jp game, an Isla Sorna survival game would be so cool. The raptors at least do still look shockingly good for a ps1 game I’d say.
The fact that he remembers everything vividly with a huge amount of details makes it even more awesome. Some actors just prefer (or pretend) to forget and let the past die. But not Jeff.

This video was one of the first gigs given to the established composer, Michael Giacchino. Interesting enough his score for the game made a comeback in the 2015 Jurassic World soundtrack, Raptor your heart out.

Really great to get some commentary on this! I've wondered for years how this secret ending was filmed. Also, I love that game's music so much!! Lots of nostalgia there at the start of the video. One of Michael Giacchino's first soundtracks, and then he went on to score Jurassic World. Did you know that he even snuck in some motifs from this game into Jurassic World? ;)

I remember that Replay always. I knew, I knew Hanson was gonna do this! Lol That was really something. I'm sure this must have been a literal dream come true from Hanson. Amazing stuff.

omg I remember that as a kid! The Lost World was my first PS1 game I got for christmas along with Alien Trilogy!
Couldn't have picked a better person to interview Goldblum.
That ending is notoriously difficult to unlock and I doubt many people saw it without the code, so the randomness of this and Jeff's reaction these years later kinda completes a little saga as a fan of the game.

I love it when he said I loved the 90s I remember playing it that was my very first ps1 game after we went to Best buy to buy the PS1 I remember my mom saying let's go get some games we headed to local Blockbuster I seen the Lost world I snapped that up fast loved playing as T.Rex never knew there was secret ending till now watching this video lol
I have this game and could never finish it as a kid. I remember being unable to get past something involving T-Rexes.

Jasmine - Ruff-Puff you're not a scrub mate the game is notoriously difficult mostly because of poor game design.
Yeah this remains my most difficult game ever!
I couldn't even get past the compy as a kid so don't feel bad. I bought it again though, I would have it beat but the last part with the two rexes is ridiculous.

back when I was a kid my dad's colleague was Jeff Goldblum's cousin, and there is a certain breed of 50's dad that is just like this. he obviously plays it up, but he is just a goofy college professor at heart exercising his children's-reading voice during his interviews.
