This made me realize, for the first time at 39, that my FEELINGS in situations are not always about the situation!! I thought I had an emotion regulation problem and this makes it so so so much more clear… my feelings aren’t unregulated, they are remnants from previous situations. So finding my real feelings in my current situations just got so much easier. Thank you so so SO Fing much.
Hey paulien . Firstly I want to thank you very much . U were the first one by whom I knew what's the problem with me . I don't know know whether it's FA or ROCD that I have but I definitely have one or both 🤣. My country lacks professional psychology doctors . So can I know for sure that I have ROCD or FA by the symptoms u stated in ur videos only?. My brain has been telling me what if u don't have it and u're just forcing urself to be with him and ...etc .
The thoughts you describe are very typical for ROCD :) I am not a psychologist, and I can't diagnose you either. Whenever you feel things resonate, they will help you heal!
That was so valuable 🥺 thank you Pauline 🤍 when they happen I noticed I always feel a strong pressure in the back of my neck & a little bit in my shoulder like my muscles there just freeze I was wondering if EFT could help with that and if so through the same points you mentioned in previous videos? Sending big bear hugs your way 🤍🤗
Does anyone know what this is? I often have these flashbacks to situations in the past, especially to things that I could have done better and I cringe at myself. They come up suddenly, or as a result of something I hear or see. Sometimes it's just a word I hear that takes me back to a situation in my past and make me cringe at myself. I wouldn't say it's an emotional flashback, because although I am feeling (negative) emotions, I know where they come from. They are a result of thinking of these past situations. I hate that this is happenning because they can totally ruin my mood and I can't seem to stop them from happening. A while ago when someone asked me what my greatest wish was, I said that I'd like to get rid of these flashbacks. Does anyone recognise this and know what this is?
Emotional flashbacks can cause deactivation! So one leads to another. But they can follow eachother so quickly that it almost feels like it's the same thing.
Dankje Paulien.
Exactly, what No No says: triggers can cause emotional flashbacks. And then emotional triggers can cause coping mechanisms (deactivation, shame spiral, attacking).

I'm making a list of videos for my FA (who just started doing the work). This one has to be on it. Thank you.
Can you do a video on reducing or resolving emotional flashbacks?
Can you make a video on shame, shame identity?
Thank you ❤
Hi Pauline,
Can you do a video on how to forgive as a FA? Whether it be with a spouse or a friend that hurt us? I can't find any videos on this topic

I feel like FA is what triggers my ROCD
Do you have any videos where you explain the "crash state" you refer to a lot? I can't find one, and I'm wondering if that might be useful.

EFT can definitely help with those! And yes, those points are the 'basic recipe', so you can try it on anything!
hey, can someone share with me how to purchase the happy and healed program in the US?
The link's in the video description! ❤

Are emotional flashbacks same as deactivation?

Hey Miko! Ja, die vermoeidheid is absoluut logisch. Het kost heel veel energie als je zenuwstelsel zo van slag is.
Emotional flashbacks = triggers?
Triggers trigger emotional flashbacks
