- Forge of Empires' Guild Battlegrounds feature is finally getting defense boosts! It looks like they might be used like the old GvG Support Pool, and we're even getting changes to attrition as well! This is going to be a crazy update to GBG!

It's a good one... because the newly updated settlement buildings DO have GBG specific blue stats now. Royal Bathhouse, Shinto Temple and Mughal's Temple all have it. So I've been wondering what they will do with them. I quite like your ideas... that would be a big shake up of GBG!

Heck no. Attrition reduction to this degree would be terrible for any guild that isn't right at the top. Glad this is an April Fools joke.
A guild member says that defense boosts really are coming to gbg. Not as complex as your version but they’ve been discussed in the forum. Know anything about it?
They'll be coming eventually. We just don't know how yet.

Sounds like good changes. We need something to make gbg more fun and strategic. They should not treat this as an april 1 joke.

Wow, I am so glad was a joke. If I had to explain this to just the guild leaders, I think it would have been pure torture for me. I did like the math aspect. Excellent job.

Totally got me -- just like last year, if I remember correctly! ;) Good job!
But like some others have mentioned, I like some of these ideas. In particular, I don't like the practice of guilds deleting GBG buildings right before the sector is conquered. Would be more of a strategic question to build, if the next owner might also benefit from the building.
By and large, though, I think GBG is working pretty well in its current version.
As soon as you said the link was broken my thought was 'well then he could be making all this up" but I didn't make the link to Aprii Fools until you announced it, though. In retrospect, I should have. Your oohs and aahs were a bit too demonstrative as if you were reading the beta page for the first time. I know you do more prep than that before recording a video. Happy April Fools, nerd.
Personally I think this will be surprisingly close to how Inno actually does implement defense boosts in GBG later this year.
If it is, I take full credit for the idea :D

These changes are AWFUL. If my attack boosts aren't going to mean much anymore and I'll be constantly gaining attrition, I probably won't play GBG much anymore.
