Sad you didn't consider Kitana, she does beat Sindel for meterless damage but you made a wise decision regardless. It hurts me to see this - I honestly think this character is underrated and not bottom 1 even giving his cursed defensive options. But I respect you swapping out since you're travelling and spending for the event, however you feel you'll get the most out of it is the best choice. As a huge inspiration over the years to play this character, I hope I see you back with Quan when he is in more of a place you find competitive.
I also dropped Quan My team was Quan tremor, and my god the skill, brain power and effort you have to put in to get a win Vs my main team which is Shao (insert Kameo) is insane.. don’t get me wrong shao has some horrible matchups he has to work hard in, but Quan… he just never feels “comfortable” especially the second someone gets in

No one's forcing you to be a character loyalist. Being competitive and being a loyalist is always a silly combination to me. You either want to win, or you just want to have fun and play your favourite character, you can't always do both. I think this attitude is what keeps people like Honeybee back. He's clearly a great player but sticking with reptile hurts him and he's forcing it on himself, no one else is.

Personally, since Liu/Shujinko is my main team I play in the game, I would love to see it represented at EVO but I’m also interested in seeing the sauce for Sindel/Shujinko!
This update screw it up. I was using peace and he was my strong second character. My viewers were even in shock because I explain why he is so bad now and so I have Johnny as my second options cause my main is nitara but of course not all matchups works with nitara and now I’m trying to lab another character that can help me play safe either sindel or Liu for projectiles
Why haven't you tried seriously using Kitana? Also, try some Reiko. I think both of those characters might suit your playstyle a bit, in addition to who you already play. That would be a solid 5 mains that you could use. Make it 6 if you ever pick up Li Mei again.
Think we can all agree Quan is midtier at best while Sindel is undeniably toptier . Still two of the sickest characters in the game tho Also props for repping Shujinko, he’s EASILY the most interesting assist in MK1
I’ve had to move on from him too, although he is my favorite MK character and I love him, he just loses to too many others and it sucks! If he had a couple better strings and better pokes he’d be mid tier but without that he’s just not good enough even with all the armor he’s still bottom tier!

I think those 2 to 3 updates they did recently killed the game, it yells confusion ,panic ,that completely tuen me off to play the game ,atleast until tekeda drops ,n homelander still bugged 🤦🏽♂️,so sad ,I would never travel for this game to play ,this is a Hennessey n play KL have fun game 😢

I main Liu with a bunch of kameo including shujinko . I was hoping to see that because I play it obviously but sindel makes sense lol I can't stand fighting her with liu because she dominates that range you were speaking on lol.
I recently noticed kelso2times and roethor droped Quan chi but u know he is bottom 1 when even the Quan father drops him Geniunly asking is there a single person playing Quan now?

You have the right to win and no one should judge you for it. Your content is great and your Quan is saucy.
Bottom line: NRS NEEDS to buff Quan. People paid EXTRA money to play him. He doesn't have to be top 3, but he should at least be viable.

This is EVO , play whoever will make you win. You can play Quan for streams, but for turnaments play the mata.

Because Shujinko has moves by himself for the usual kameo inputs so the inputs can't overlap.

I hope they make Shujinko better. A lot of the time, you are basically playing without a cameo. His charge mechanic just sucks.
It's annoying especially since his effectiveness is based on a matchup. That's why I use Liu with him because Liu can fight solid without a kameo
He needs buffs in many regards, but as far as I am koncerned, from the fog (tentacle grab) should be 1 bar. Get real, NRS. 🤬
I say this with love, but I think a character change right before the tourney is a terrible idea. A secondary I could see, but not this.
