- A project update video of a 1/6th scale RC Armortek Early Production Tiger I tank model. The model is a commission build that is being built for a private collector. The model was procured from the customer in an unassembled virgin state and was started and worked on to the point you see in this video. In this video I describe the work that went into mounting of the engine, the engine compartment equipment and cooling system details
More pictures of this project are found on the following album on the ECA facebook page

Your work is incredible, that’s all I have to say.
Work ( Fun ) like this is exactly the reason that I consider myself fortunate enough to know of you and your site. My own current Stuart build is benefiting immensely from your parts and expertise.
Awesome~!!!👍👍
Great detailing. I have been thinkering some years about building an early tiger 1 (1:10 scale) in the correct armor thickness in steel. I am trained in machining and a mechanical technician in oil gas industry so I believe I should be able. Do you recommend any books for super detailing an engine compartment?
Amazing, can't imagine being a panzer mechanic working on all those hoses and pipes in the Russian mud.
why do you need to animate the second shaft on the engine if the fan system is driven by its own motor?
The tank fans were powered by driveshafts on the engine. To complete the illusion that the engine is controlling everything the drvie shafts need to spin too.
Do you sell tiger tank 1:16 scale brass mudguards and turret cupola and respective doors ect, as built the three year static fully detailed tank
What I have is posted on the ECA 1/16th scale catalog, eastcoastarmory.com/sherman_16.htm
However I don't offer the parts you are looking for
What caliber is the actually gun on this tiger? And is it possible to actually fire a pistol/rifle round through it with modification?
the real tank would have an 88mm gun. As for rigging the model to fire live ammo, that opens up a whole can of worms that I don't want to get into.
I meant to ask what caliber the gun on this 1/6 scale is sorry for not being clear
I can't really answer as the barrel inner diameter is not to scale and is much larger then 1/6th scale 88mm
How work the trasmission
the engine is not driving the tank, It is only for show. The tank is powered by 2 large electric motors
