I have been to every Latin country in Central and South America except El Salvador and Venezuela. The prices that she gives is about the same prices in all of Latin America except for Costa Rica, and Chile. The main way to save is stay away from the tourist areas. For me as a retired person 4 things are important. Safe area, cost of living, infrastructure and weather. I am now in Colombia but the only reason I won't get a pension visa here is because if you stay more than 6 months you have to file Colombian income tax on your world wide income. Thailand is also starting that rule.
That's what I do. Stay no more than 6 months in these countries else pay local taxes on your international income. That is insane on retires. There is rule called stay more than 183 days and pay tax to the state like in USA. Crazy man. Some expats don't care doing illegal stuff and one day they're going to get caught and pay big fine plus interest and Tax. When you drive car in Colombia, Panama, Mexico traffic crooked cops make you pay fake speeding tickets. You can't argue with the cops, if you do they will point gun at you bro. So basically you're going to pay some bribe man. Crazy people out there. Most of them are nice and friendly but they do have bad people looking to take some money from your walking ATM machine. Watch out friends.

Ré, could you do videos comparing Pros and Cons among various countries, like El Salvador versus Nicaragua, or versus Panama and Costa Rica? Including rules for visas?
Great Video, Wonderful Guest, I absolutely believe God had a hand with El Salvadors President transforming this beautiful country, Some of his speeches are some of the most powerful speeches I have ever seen in my life and they will be written into the History Books. I have seen him stand up to some of the most corrupt governments in the world and call evil where evil is found, EL Salvador is definitely one of the retirement countries we are researching, Nothing but the best from Canada,
Hi there I was just watching this video and I heard the lady was talking renting houses and apartments . I I have an apartment and a big house for rent in a good neighborhood in San Salvador at very affordable price just in case someone Might be interested
I wish I could have listened to her present the facts before her views on her deity and politics, and I was particularly looking forward to this because I lived in ES a couple of decades ago.
@TheOscar0964 no offense man, but all the people wants to live in san salvador or the mejor cities... I bet 5 years ago 200 were todo expensive Even for Usulutan
Interesting as always, but how do people, especially older folks deal with the intense heat and humidity? Not to mention the possible conflicts with the US money hungry elite?
@@adventurefreaksss Right now I'm thinking of Romania, or possibly Albania. I'm planning a trip to the Balkans for this summer. I will check to see if you have any vids covering these countries. Thanks for all you do on this channel! It's really helpful. Best wishes, Daniel

Hi, I am from El Salvador. Let me tell you, no, it is not affordable, rent and house prices are too high
It depends where you go. Im renting a house , 3 bedrooms for 200 dollars in Usulután.

If you don't like the heat, try living in a place with the eternal spring climate. El Salvador has mostly a tropical climate.
@boink800 Whew, just as I thought. Every location has as many CONs as PROs.
Lol....stay in Minnesota

Once upon time, El Salvador was actually part of Mexico.
The Mexican Empire. And the Aztec Empire
