One of the best tip I found for the box salad, is after you open it place a paper towel on top of greens and store it upside down in the fridge.. I think it really helps . Always enjoy your videos take care
Agree! Really adds to the longevity
Please film the next time you do your white chicken chili if you can! I would love to see. Aldi seems awesome 😎
I've shopped Aldi's for years and love it. I do get my Aunt Milly's bread and a few other things at other stores but Aldi's is my favorite. Especially for produce. Plus if you get something bad, they refund your money and give you another watermelon or whatever you brought back. No hassles.
Hi Genevieve I would love your white chicken chili recipe maybe a video on you making it 🥰 Great grocery haul thanks for sharing.
I started shopping at Aldi when my son was small and he's 38! LOVE that store. We now live in an Aldi desert, I miss it so much. There are no Aldi's in the Rocky Mountain region where we moved to. We always hit the one in Lincoln, Nebraska when we visit our family in Illinois. Those Cara Cara oranges are the best oranges so sweet and juicy. If you get Meyer lemons at your Aldi grab them, they are much less acidic and so tasty. They are both very seasonal, so if you love them grab a bunch. Great haul, and very budget friendly. I can remember filling my cart to the top at Aldi and it being 75 dollars. When they first opened they were kind of known for being a store for poorer people, and now they are all bougie with wine, organic food and their own facebook pages dedicated to all the great things they sell.
Groceries are ridiculous now I love all that you bought and hearing you talk about what you’re going to make made me hungry😋
Aldi is a 15-20 minute ride but I do like it when I can get there. Foodtown is 3 minutes from my house which is where I usually go but the prices are high. Nice haul, I made a pot roast yesterday with potatoes, carrots and onions in the crock pot. It smelled delicious and we'll get 2 nights out of it. We are definitely not leftover snobs, they are the best! (especially Italian food). Enjoy your meals! ❤
❤Aldi! I would love your vinaigrette recipe!
I have not done a grocery haul at Aldi's,but I think I will go in thete soon and see what they have!!You and Nick are very wise to want to save what you can !When I was a young woman I didnt do that as well as we have for the last several years!!You are so organized!!!That pic of you and Claire is adorable!!!Stay warm and cozy this weekend!!😁❤👍
Hiya! I shop at Aldi here in England too! Would love your recipe for white chicken chilli please? Especially if it’s a slow cooker/crock pot one xxx
We have 2 Aldi stores near us and do all of our shopping there. Even when I worked part time at a big, more expensive, grocery store I shopped at Aldi. We were given a 10% discount but Aldi was still better.
A recipe we love is super easy in the crock pot. We call it Kennie’s Soup because our son in law made it when they were low on groceries.
Here’s the recipe:
2 cans each of pinto beans, black beans and corn (drain and rinse the beans, drain the corn)
2 cans of the diced tomatoes (I use the seasoned one that you got)
1 can of mild enchilada sauce
Add some marinara for more liquid to your liking.
*You can also add browned ground beef or the Morning Star Farms griller crumble for a vegetarian version.
Place all the ingredients in your crockpot on medium heat, when it is hot, turn to low or warm.
We serve this over rice, top with some corn chips, sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.
Left overs freeze well and reheat well.
We have 3 Aldi stores in my area but I haven't been there in a while. Seeing your haul made me realize it is past time for me to go back!😊 I use the Idahoan potato packs often. They taste good and are so quick & easy. As a dog lover I love hearing Maggie's nails!❤
Love to see making wellness shots video. I love the ones from Aldis.
You did fantastically well with your shopping budget, especially as groceries are so expensive now. Salad doesn't last 5 minutes in my house, it gets eaten faster than I can buy it 😂. Have a wonderful weekend 💞
With it being just my husband and myself, i don't have to shop real often except for things we use on the daily.. water, coffee, creamer, fruits, etc. So when I buy meats, I'll buy family size packs and split them up into separate freezer bags before i put them in the freezer. Then you can just pull out what you need as you need it. Like chicken, I'll bag single. Buy large pack of ground beef and separate into 1lb pks. The larger pack you buy, the cheaper it is by the lb. So doing the bacon in half is exactly what I would do. Works out great.
Yes! We do this too and usually get meats at shoprite or BJ’s in bulk! Way cheaper!
I have been an Aldi shopper for 16 years now, since my 2nd child was born and I realized that feeding a family (in the 2007 recession was impossible,) and here we are in another "difficult time" economically and Aldi saves me! There are 5 of us, (spouse, 19 yo, 16 yo and 12 yo!) Don't know WHAT I would do without Aldi! - Yesterday I picked up the forced hyacinth for under $4. Did you see those? Love. I always buy their plants and bulbs whenever I can. You can't beat their prices on plants either!
Great haul!! Like shopping Aldi too. Thanks for sharing. God Bless 🙏❤️
Wrap your fresh herbs in a damp paper towel and store oin crisper drawer in fridge
Hi Genevieve Nice grosery haul
I go to Audi's once in a while. My daughters go all the time. I was just there couldnt belive how much cheaper some things were than other places. Hope you have a great day stay safe here in pa by seven springs mountain resort we have around 8 to 10 inches of snow. God Bless ❤❤❤
I’ve never been to Aldis but want to go now. Thanks for sharing your haul.
I like going to Aldi‘s and have extra in my pantry produce always looks good l like looking at house stuff too thank you for sharing you got a lot for your money ❤
Hi Genevieve 💓 I love Aldi thanks for sharing always Laura
I buy the same spinach and argula every week! - and then mixed for my husband. =) Aldi is the BEST. I bought the riced cauliflower yesterday for my 12 yo and she loved it. No additives, no preservatives, just cauliflower and she can steam it herself in the microwave. =) My son loves the deli selections for his sandwiches and they keep longer than cut deli meats; I don't have to worry about them being used before going bad. =)
I've shopped at Aldi for 30+ years! Love it!
The best!
Great haul! I really enjoyed this video!
We don't have Aldi's out west. I wish we did. And if people don't like hearing your pups nails tippy-tapping, they can leave or fast forward. I love dogs and it never bothers me♥️
I have recently started shopping at Aldi. I have 3 in my area in 3 different directions, of course the closest one is the worst one and never has anything and the farthest one is the best one and has items not found at the other 2 (just my luck 😝) I have noticed a big savings in my grocery bill which has become beyond necessary for us. You and I purchase a lot of the same items from Aldi. I’m east coast as well that might be why 😉
Yes you must seperate your bacon so much easy to pull out a bit at a time
No waste
Just here to say I HATE grocery shopping. Aftet working in grocery store for almost 2 years, I just don't like it all. But.. you did good on the budget and meal planning.
My son and I buy grocerys. Once a month. Our last car payment. In fennbuaruy. February.
Hi Genevieve ! Have you tried shopping at Lidl ? They have very affordable prices and their produce is fresh & delicious ! I do all my shopping there !
If you put the green onions in a jar of water and put on window sill, they will keep growing 👍
I love the stuffed mushrooms .
They’re sooo good! I was impressed!
I love Aldi's .
I have picked up that fat free cream twice!!!!! Now I really make sure I read the label! I’m not a fan of the Aldi refried beans. Everything else I love!
That was a big haul considering you had a baby in tow. Go, Mamacita, go!
You aren’t kidding! Thanks for acknowledging that! Haha
I'm not wierd. I'm. Alergic. To. Cheese. Can't. Eat. It. Makes me. Deathly. Sick. My son loves. Cheese. He can eat. It
When I hear Maggie, I always think of Bryce. 🩵🌈
