Denim were a bit of a cheap skate, they kept the same ad with a different voice over, then just re shot the end! 😂😂 I was born in the late sixties, remember the majority of these Christmas ads.. the best Hornby railways ads was when they put bernard cribbins down on the station as a conductor if memory serves, anyone else remember that one?
Alexis Korner, that gravelly voice was used mostly for flogging Kodak photographic items. A bygone era, I loved the Decembers past.

So according to the B.O.E that turntable for 199£ would cost £2651 in 2024!...and that pocket camera..£400! and in 2024 a packet of cigarettes should cost £2.60 not £15!...and the steam iron should cost.....£146!!!
Are you sure about some of that?:
£11 for the steam iron circa 1979 is about £53 today. a bit pricy but about right.
the turntable about £1000! for a Pye that's still too much.
60 - 70 quid for the hairdryer and toaster!
