Agree. The U.S. has placed 'sanctions' (a form of siege warfare) on some 30 countries around the world, some because the people elected a socialist government, others for disobeying U.S. dictates of one kind or another. It has also seized the foreign reserves of Venezuela and Afghanistan and - I'm just learning this for the first time - Iran. What arrogance! What thievery!
I think Iran was trying to highlight this outrageous behavior of the U.S.
The U.S. made a HUGE mistake, though, seizing Russia's foreign reserves - some $300 billion. This is what has started a worldwide movement to de-dollarize. The U.S. bombing of Germany/Russia's Nord Stream pipelines has also stirred this movement. Other countries now have to worry about destruction of their infrastructure in addition to sanctions and seizures if they do anything the U.S. not like.
So the system is good when you win but bad when you lose

In 1959, when I was 9 years old, it occured to me how unfair it was to have the UN Headquarters located in NYC, USA. I knew about the Cold War with the USSR, our supposed enemy, so I wondered why they didn't put the UN Headquarters in a more neutral country, say Switzerland. Today, 60+ years later, I'm still asking myself the same question.
The UN building is international property, The un justice branch is located in Hague, the assembly located in NYC,

To be honest, Russia has proposed peace negotiations only to be refused by Zelensky who constantly requests armaments from NATO, even once requested NATO to attack Russia with nuclear. I am positive regarding Russia‘s position during one month as an opportunity to end the war. Lavrov, the world‘s greatest diplomat can hopefully reach a solution.

I think the idea is that these are the major powers in the world. We live in a very fragile system, when the Law can be re-written, so this is very important proof for the whole world that at least one court can confirm its compliance to the law. Unilateral sanctions (all of them) without the approval from Security Council UN is illegal. After this court resolution other countries who were suffering from such sanctions can submit grievances for compensations.
Other states that also promote terrorism and invade their neighbor. The court was very wrong on this one.

The US made Iran rich by building their petroleum industry... All they had to do in exchange was to sell petroleum in US dollars, but Iran backed out of their agreement. Additionally, Iran tried to defeat Iraq to take their Oil. Iran and Iraq would have also taken over Saudi Arabian oil fields if it weren't for the United States. Countries want to benefit from American ingenuity and contributions, however, they do not want to live by agreements. It's time the United States start focusing on America and stop helping develop and protect other countries. Let's see how that works out. Countries will now have to start acting like adults.
