Hi
@@itssomeoneduh1918 Hello there!
The Bookshelf
I love how simple it is.
Her bookshelf 😍
It’s really good seeing apartments from different cities.
Indeed!
Right, I stopped watching them for a bit because it was the same cities.
This is the kind of Middle America representation I have been looking for on this series!! Love your space, Evan.
Thank you :)
+cassidyreeves Thanks for noticing the details!!
Hey! May I ask what part of STL you’re in? Loved your place!
FINALLY not New York or LA.
right? im from nyc myself and i love seeing apartments in other cities
@@ClaudiaRabbitHeart you don’t know how bad I wanna be you right now
@@Michelleheartslucki nyc isn’t like that, yk that right? I was born and raised here and still live here, it’s not what you tourist think it is. We have huge gun/shooting problems, many shooting. Also the boroughs are all ghetto, except for Manhattan.
Y’all have to realize that incomes aren’t as high here either.. that’s why real estate and rental prices are much lower than most of the country. Yes, we pay less in rent.. but we also make a lot less 🤷♀️
Thats what I was had just wrote in my comment, that is how it seems to work everywhere.
I live in Saint Louis! I agree the cost of living here isn't super high but we make less! Also it depends obviously on where you live! Like Chesterfield, Kirkwood, and Brentwood are pretty pricey places to live!
Right. In Louisiana the rentals are 900 in the smaller cities, but mostly people make 1400 a month in income. When you factor bills in it isn’t affordable at all.
Unfortunately that’s not the full picture. A much greater proportion of people in cities with high rents (NYC, Boston, etc.) are rent-burdened (pay over 30% of their income in rent) than people in cities with lower rents. So no, people in cities with high rents are not making that much more.
I have lived all over the United States and that's not necessarily true I have also lived in st.louis for a great portion of my life. You may make a couple more dollars a hour in a big city such as l.a or new york then you would in st.louis doing the same job.
Finally not another $3,000 apartment in New York or LA! This is what we want!
3,000 $$ or more which is unreachable for 99% of us. ....
Jesus Christ cost of living is so good there
Ya, but.... It's... Missouri 😂
Its a nightmare to live here though
@@ArtCE47 also pronounced misery
i lived in STL too, a couple of years ago, and i was paying $525/mo, for an apartment 2x the size of hers, in a cute little neighborhood on the Southside.
@@katherinek3314 why?
Oh my god the magnets on the makeup is genius!
I agree with you , I can't do that because I have so much make up its unbelievable. Though for the kitchen I have seen that people in tiny hones purchase jars or tins that are to be their seasoning in and they have a magnet on the bottom and they put then on their refrigerator.
Thank you :)
+aliciaann We're obsessed! :)
The magnets on the makeup--genius. The can crusher to reduce the number of times she needs to take out the recycling--genius. Absolutely loved this tour! Evan is so intentional and smart, she's curated her space beautifully.
Thank you 💖
LOVE LOVE LOVE that you're branching out to showcase other parts of the country!! The US is much more than NY and California. As an architectural designer, the apartments and homes in lesser-known parts of the country have such historic and unique spaces for much less in rent.
Exactly
The magnets on her makeup is SUCH a good idea!!!
Thank you :)
+alexisempleo It's brilliant!
Her house feels like a home. I dont know how to describe it, i could see her warm personality, her style and her interests ❤️🥰
“It’s not hoarding if it’s books or plants.” Amen!
Favorite part of Evan’s home is wherever Bonnie is 🐱
kids are gonna be like" omg look at miss evan's house." "Her bed is in the living room whoa" "She has a cat and a plant and a dead grandma omg"
Facts😂😂😂
Absolutely love her space and she gives off the best vibes.
Finally someone from the Midwest and even better from my city!!
+sbgreloaded 🤩

I’d love to see more apartment tours like this one! The New York and LA tours are cool and all but this tour feels much more achievable to me- especially as someone who does not live in a major city.
Thanks so much for the feedback!!
* cries in Los Angeles *
Am from LA living in Missouri at the moment, life here is miserable I can’t wait to go back don’t buy it
As a Missourian who's lived in LA, I prefer here in missouri, different pace and lifestyle though. But here you can breathe, relax and not struggle but it's definitely not LA, BUT you can choose your life how you want it here with room to grow. And you can travel more, and also you can have a two bedroom apt for $650-850 monthly and that's on the high-end.
@NakedAndLaughing I agree there isn't a safe area anymore. I work inside a police station as a civilian employee and I see just about everything, People are applying for pistol permits more then ever since Covid.
@@estephmun93 I lived in stl for five years after growing up in Chicago and I thought I was the only one who seemed to hate it so much there 😂
@@xoHAUTEGLiTTERS Even people that was born and raised in Missouri hate it not to even mention the weather.....
Ugh thank GOD it’s not NY or LA- so refreshing!
It’s refreshing to see a a living space that is not NY or LA. I really enjoyed this video.
+ilovechips Thanks so much for watching! So glad you enjoyed!
It is not hoarding if its books or plants. 💯 I have to add that I love her hair. I love the look of curly hair in a bun.
I love that this apartment has a balcony. That was the perfect touch to the whole thing. I love small places especially tiny homes but the whole time I kept saying “I wish she had a balcony or something for outdoor seating!” Then come to find out she does! Awesome episode, I really enjoy these ones because these are the ones your average everyday person would be interested in watching because this is so reasonably priced and around a lot of people’s budget. I still love the other episodes, but especially now where people are out of work or not making as much money, it’s sort of nice seeing people make due with their space that’s not an extremely modern $2-3,000 apartment.
+megleilani Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! So glad you liked the space!
Haven’t even watched it and I’m so just excited that it’s not New York or LA!
Edit: and now I love it more because it was an older space that she clearly loves and made work for her. Love the sentimental pieces. Love that she’s a teacher and a student and not an influencer. These kinds of posts are awesome.
Love seeing more Midwest homes! Her style is super fun and unique
When the rent to sq. ft. ratio finally makes sense!! We love to see it!
She just put me on to a new way to organize my makeup, bless you lol
Happy to help :)
Cries in New Jersey rent. Also vibe with “it’s not hoarding if it’s books or plants.” I loved her space so much! It was so nice and cozy
Refreshing to see places that aren’t NYC/California. Love this place! Feels more “lived in” and “cozy” than the all white minimalist/Scandinavian decor that feels over featured.
It is wonderful to have good furniture from parents or other relatives. The atmosphere seems very comfortable/cozy. Love to Bonnie who deserves a wonderful throne.
Oh she is lovely! What a wonderful home.
+kaylamarie Agreed!
she definitely has great taste, and an eye for artistic stuff. definitely love this space ♥️
Probably my favorite apartment of the series. It is so personalized and so light! 💗🙌🏽
Yaaaasssssss R29!!! An OG Sweet Digs style episode. Loved it!!
This apartment matches her to a T. It is definitely bohemian and eclectic with vintage undertones throughout the home. I think she is a genius for being able to master such a small space. Many people don’t consider going vertical or using magnets etc so that everything is not hoarding the ground. I love all the plants and the cat and the sentimental pieces. Really really really loved this episode!!
+maamajamma Thanks so much for taking the time to watch! We're so glad you loved the episode!
@@refinery29 I am an OG fan...been watching you guys for years...😘
That apartment has great natural light. The overall look is very nice and she has some lovely pieces.
This gives me hope after my schooling I would love to leave Florida seeing budget friendly apartments like these is refreshing
Super dope apartment. You really made great use of the space and the vibe is spectacular
ayyyy st. louis gang!!! her apartment is decorated sooo cute and i love her kitty🥺
Love your calm & peaceful esthetic. Mothering plants is a wonderful way of staying centered in your environment.
So happy to see your MIZZOU pride🥰
OMG I’d never thought I’d see St. Louis on here!!!
Such a wonderful and calming home.
My unit in downtown St. Louis was $634 with hardwood floors and a gas stove. Omg, now I’m in Dallas paying over $1,000, lmao. Ugh, the good old days.
but can i ask, are you making more money in Dallas? Enough that rent is proportional to your current salary? or no?
@@olivianobile5112 Definitely making more, but can’t find it justifiable to pay this much in rent.
I loved her space. It’s so cozy and unique to her with so many sentimental items. I also love her shelving adjustments and make up hack. Super cool!
When I saw St. Louis listed, I wondered if she was living anywhere I recognized. I’d say she’s probably living near Tower Grove or Botanical Heights because those areas have historic apartments.
Omg! That magnet makeup tip is so cool and smart! Love seeing this shotgun style apartment as it is similar yet different to my railroad style apartment. I wish I had a balcony but I made due with my fire escape lol. I love how she has stuff but it is so organized and neat! Cute cat as well 🐈! Thanks for sharing this Sweet Dig!
+lasonta Thanks so much for watching! So glad you were into it!
Me, age 57, looking over at the antique dresser I invested in when I was 27: yeah. Decades to come is right! You don't even know.
Beautiful apartment with well intentioned thought given to the space. I love the antique chest and drawers and all the plants. Medicine cabinet hack for makeup is brilliant!
Ah finally more Midwest stuff!
I remember paying $750 9 years ago for a bachelorette apartment near the beach in Southern Cali 😯 I need to leave this state
I paid 600 15 yrs ago for a giant, gorgeous 1bd, 1bth w/washer&dryer., giant balcony in AZ. That apt is now a 400,000 condo. WTF?
Wow thats still mad cheap
I paid that amount of rent in the late 70's in Miami, Florida
My mom paid 500 for a one bedroom in hollywood,ca when i was small.
;((
The space and the decor is amazing!
I love her place and I love how she talks. I’m from Illinois and it’s nice to hear a familiar accent and way of speaking. I bet that she is a great teacher.
This was so kind. Thank you ❤︎❤︎
Love this representation for STL! There is some amazing architecture here :)
Beautiful space! So lovely to see properties outside of NYC :)
That makeup hack was genius!! Also I love to see the furniture, my favorite is if they buy it new, second hand or inherit it.
I love your apartment it has a lot of character to it ...I love the old things that came with the apartment I would say you got a good deal cuz out where I live in Illinois a one-bedroom apartment goes for about $950.00
That magnet hack was absolute genius.
I would love to see more episodes like this from different cities, particularly in middle America. We all know what nyc and la apts look like and cost. We want to see what life is like in other places
Love the idea of magnets on to make up!!! Genus!!!!
I was about to comment the same thing
I LOVED this tour! So happy to see different parts of the country. Evan your tour was great, you have a lovely home!
I love to see spaces that are not cookie cutter. I love all the personal touches that Evan has brought to her space. Lovely!
I loooooove Evan and her general vibe and style and I loooooved this video!
Favorite Spot =Is the “Balcony” 😀
Wow what a beautiful and cosy little home, definitely a space that reflects her and I'm totally here for it ♡
love love love this apartment + Evan seems so warm and genuine!
It's really nice to see my city and neighborhood in this series! I'm moving into a shotgun style apartment from a studio and so excited!!
Can you tell me what part of St. Louis this is? And also if you think CWE is a good/safe place to live? I'm thinking of moving to St. Louis
@@WarriorPrincess615 the cwe is iffy. Its an extremely nice and expensive area but a lot of crime happens right there because its proximity to some of the worse neighborhoods. This is on the south side. I cant think exactly the neighborhood but im positive its tower grove east or south. The best neighborhoods would be the hill, north Hampton, south hampton, st Louis hills, tower grove, shaw. Honestly the southside is a lot safer than the other sides of town but there are neighborhoods to avoid such as dutchtown and parts of bevo mill.
Finally someone not paying an arm and a leg for rent/mortgage! Very cute and I love how much light she gets in there; plus a really sweet balcony too! And Bonnie is definitely not camera-shy, LOL!
Bonnie so cuteee😊 thank you for adding clips of bonnie
Yay!! I love that you’re doing new cities 🙌🏼
+marydunlop Thanks for noticing!!
Its not hoarding if it's books or pets- Love it!
Plants not pets.. but I’m all for hoarding pets as well 🐶🐱❤️
@@diamondanderson7294 😆 I did realize I put pets instead plants. Your neighbors will probably hate you if you hoard pets.
The magnets on the makeup is such a clever idea!
Lovely apartment! I'm in Georgia I have a 2bed2Bath water included $760.
Loooooove seeing great affordable places.
Peace and Love.
Love the dresser, the boho feel w the art and plants!!Bonnie is so sweet!!The paisley chair is Everything!!🤗🐱🌱🌿☘
I'm so glad to see them doing something in st Louis! Yay!
Love this apartment. The light coming in is fantastic!
Awesome! This reminds me of my first apartment all though the only difference was that my landlord updated the kitchen beautifully. Miss being next to the beach, definitely have the same style/vibe. Stay safe & hope your students & you are making the best of the rest of 2020. 💙
I was so so so happy to see an episode of "Sweet Digs"
+kimakathehelpfulassistant Thanks so much for stopping by to watch! So glad you loved this space, too.
She's so pretty! Love her style as well!
The apartment is a true vibe
Love seeing a mid-sized city featured!
I wish they would show where people put their cat's litterbox. It's always a challenge in a small space.
Me too! I have several --try to hide them out of the way, but definitely a life's necessity for cat lovers!
I use an empty closet. I've learned that I am willing to sacrifice closet space to "hide" the litter boxes that I have. I have 4 cats in an 850 sq ft apartment with my boyfriend and my 8 month old son. So yeah space is limited!
@@HanabiFae I don't know how you get by with only one litter box for four cats. I have two cats and two litter boxes --plus an additional one on sun porch. I have 1,000 square foot, so yeah always a challenge.
@@thoughts3897 We have 3 litter boxes
Sydney sider from Australia here 🙋♀️ so refreshing to see something that's not in New York 🧡
I’ve had a dream book for years too! Love your place!
The vibe of this place is amazing!

Bonnie looks like a sweetie. Gotta love the Lou --South City? Great space, Evan.
Love seeing my city in sweet digs!
This has to be my favourite episode yet
Absolutely Beautiful Space! Love the Simplicity/Zen attraction!

Super cool space! Love the pitchers in the kitchen and the plants.....I’m in STL, too. I’d be down to show my space, and I pay a bit less in rent.
I LOVE her decorating style!
Omg I miss STL I just moved a year ago to Charlotte NC and I miss STL so much!!!! Love your place
I've always wanted to go to Missouri.. Great apartment.. It feels so relaxing and cosy. And sooo organized 😍
Please don't. Not safe at all
@@JC-wh6gy you mean it's not safe in Missouri?! If you would like to elaborate why! But if not thank you for letting me know x
@@VeeLondon1449 I think they meant traveling because of the virus? I would say Missouri is very safe to travel to under normal non-covid circumstances. And pretty (look up the ozark mountains)! It definitely has downsides, but it's not near as bad as people try to make it seem.
This really helps get an estimate when thinking of moving , very grateful for your videos
