  • Stem cells, in general, are chemically attracted to injured areas of the body. Injured tissues release a class of so-called chemical messengers called cytokines. In the case of kidney disease, the kidneys will release cytokines specific to the kidneys to draw the stem cells to the kidney. The stem cells then regenerate and differentiate into the specific renal cells that are required for regenerate and repair the damaged tissue, such as parenchymal and glomeruli cells. Once the micro-circulation of the kidneys is restored, this lowers the blood pressure of the glomerulus. This, in turn, relieves the ischemia in the kidneys and therefore contribute to overall improvement of blood filtration and circulation. In cases of kidney disease secondary to autoimmune disease, along with enhancing immunity, stem cells are deployed in order to potentially eliminating the autoimmunity by inhibiting T-Cells, adjusting the immune system to work normally. The kidney lesion can be restored. Kidney regeneration is a challenging but promising strategy aimed at reducing the progression to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and improving the quality of life of patients with ESRD. Adult stem cells are multipotent stem cells that reside in various tissues, such as bone marrow and adipose tissue.
The efficacy of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in the recovery ofkidney function has been demonstrated.

Do stem cells also work if you have been on dialysis for years and your own kidneys are still there, but have shriveled? As a child in the Netherlands, I started flushing CAPD from the age of 3 until I was 10, then switched to hemodialysis. I am no longer transplantable because I have too many antibodies and my body immediately rejects the donor or living donor kidney. So I now have more than 45 years of dialysis behind me, with many setbacks and little quality of life. Moisture restriction. this is heavy enough to dialyze 4 times a week. My diagnosis when I got sick at my 2.5 year HUS HEAMOLYSTIC UREMIC SYNDROME.

Thank you for your answer. However, living in the Netherlands is quite a journey. I don't know if this is all reimbursed by insurance, flights, accommodation, stem cell treatments and dialysis treatments. I live on benefits and this won't be cheap. It is the only sensible hope for a better future for me, because I am no longer transplantable. Donor kidneys are immediately rejected by my body. is it painful? my own kidneys are still there, but shriveled. No urine production or very occasionally a few small drops, but not nearly enough. I have a fluid restriction of 700ml per day. As a child I consumed 400ml per day. That was very difficult... I used 1 shunt for dialysis for 30 years. now I dialyze on a line in the neck collarbone. That's not all, not nice. But the vascular surgeon(s) find my blood vessels in mm. Too small to make a shunt from your own blood vessels. Artifice isn't everything either. last year Aug 2023 shunt operation with artificial vessel. In December 2023, this art vessel had already stopped working. So I'm a bit stuck in terms of hoping to keep a perspective on the future. I don't see any point in continuing dialysis for years with a line in the neck... but then again I don't have that much money to pay for this for a while to go on that adventure with the stem cell.....

Good day, Thanks for your response. You're talking about band-aids. For my verification, so no stem cell(s) treatment? And how do you get those plasters? I live in the Netherlands, it would also have to be shipped.. there are additional costs. $99 = €91,...excl. postage costs. Could you provide me with further information/help? Best regards.

Stem Cell Treatment can definitely help CKD. Please provide us with your email and phone number where we can reach you to set up a call with Dr. Zahra Figueredo at Stem Cell Healing Institute (SCHI). With this call Dr. Figueredo can get a better sense of your medical history an ailment and decide the best way to approach the treatment for you. She will gladly listen to everything you want to convey and respond to all your questions so you get a clear idea of how she approaches treatments at SCHI on a case-to-case basis in general and specifically for CKD in its different stages. Part of the information Dr. Figueredo shares over calls like these is examples of success stories. Kidney function can be drastically improved depending on patient and response.
