No, they weren't the very last, but close to it. When this came out (1990), it wasn't classic it was contemporary, and it was southern rock, too. You still had Living Color (remember Cult of Personality?) and Soundgarden, and you can say what you want about STP but they were rock, and so was Velvet Revolver.
A gem. The only new band I think is worth a darn nowadays is Greta Van Fleet. The trouble is the labeling of GVF. Oh so like society now. Anyone that might see this old video could not help but identify their most likely influences but no one was in a rush to label them. Now, I think most good artists just cave in.
@@jventure1961 Greta Van Fleet is a good band but i just cant get over their singer and guitar player. Theyre copying plant and page so much its ridiculous. Their music is good though.
My son said " Momma, This reminds me of you." I was trying to figure this out.... I realized we had a connection ........ no one needs to understand. I am so grateful for this!!!!
She never mentions the word addiction In certain company Yes, she'll tell you she's an orphan After you meet her family She paints her eyes as black as night now Pulls those shades down tight Yeah, she gives a smile when the pain come The pain gonna make everything alright Says she talks to angels They call her out by her name Oh yeah, she talks to angels Says they call her out by her name She keeps a lock of hair in her pocket She wears a cross around her neck Yes, the hair is from a little boy And the cross is someone she has not met Not yet Says she talks to angels Says they all know her name Oh yeah, she talks to angels Says they call her out by her name She don't know no lover None that I ever seen Yeah, to her that ain't nothin' But to me, yeah me Means everything She paints her eyes as black as night now She pulls those shades down tight Oh yeah, there's a smile when the pain comes The pain gonna make everything alright Alright, yeah heah She talks to angels Says they call her out by her name Oh, yeah, heah, angels Call her out by her name Oh, ooh, oh, oh, angels They call her out by her name Oh, oh, oh, she talks to angels They call her out Yeah, ee, eah, eah, eah, eah Call her out Don't you know that they Call her out by her name?
I was actually at this show....Center Stage in ATL. Unbelievable show!! This is actually the second take as something was wrong with the first one and they had to do it again! Lucky us!!
I want to thank God for saving my life from a stroke, and recently a bad reaction to a medication that dropped my potassium intake, god is great 🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯⚘🌹
This song reminds me of my ex-wife, though the hair (and ashes) is from her oldest daughter who died at 17. My ex had such a negative outlook of God, yet did wear a cross. It would get so bad that when I came home from work, I was afraid i would find her o.d. from slamming too much h. When out of it she did talk to angels. Haven't seen her in 7 years, she chose to leave and use over getting help and our two year old daughter and marriage.
This must be the most beautiful version of this song ❤🎶 and noone‘s talking about the keyboarder and the video does not really reveal who he is. But to my opinion he has such a great impact on this recording. Must be Chuck Leavell at the keys. 🎹🥰
I tried to watch some covers of this song but couldn’t find anything that did this song any justice. Something about Chris’s singing and energy. Nothing beats the original!
Shake Your Money Maker. Tenía 20 años, el mejor disco de los últimos 20 años. Luego versionaron 'Oh! Sweet Nuthin’'.... se hicieron inmortales. Os amo, sois el 'Remedy',
Easily one of the greatest frontmen ever, if you could piece together a perfect rock frontman Plant is pretty close but God Chris's voice just sends me to heaven
Not many quality live versions of this timeless classic hit from The Robinson bros & crew. Cheers to uploader The Black Crowes greatly appreciated. Cheers & best wishes from New Zealand.
2022 they are still incredible this song will live on forever 🎵Nobody can sing like Chris Robinson he just incredible, they all are. Absolutely love them🖤🌹🖤🎼🎶🎵🎸
I LOVED them the first time I heard them. Saw them 4x in the 90's... once back stage. They had it ALL GOING ON. The first two records are incredible. Love every song.
Very very nearly perfection. You have to remember, this is Jeff Cease black crowes. Still a while before Marc Ford. Now crowes with Ford was musical perfection, in every single way. Cease was not a very good guitarist, hence why the songs on the first album were not as technical and had far simpler solo styles than every album after that, including by your side, which had Rich Robinson play all guitar parts on all songs on the whole album because they had no lead guitarist at the time.
Brad Beasley There’s a band called Anarbor that have an album called The Words You Don’t Swallow, and an album called Burnout. They both remind me of The Black Crowes
I had the pleasure in seeing these boys live in 2013. Changed my life. I’ve been waiting to see them again since then. So have many others. Can’t wait. Highly doubt the brothers will invite Steve Gorman to join. He is 1 of the original 3. Put your pride aside and bring all the boys back! Chris, Rich, & Steve!
Blake Robbins even if they did I think he said no even if they tried to invite him... rockers don’t like being told no and even tho I don’t know the full story I imagine it wasn’t very pretty as to why they quit first go around... cheers
everytime I listen to this song.. I think of my mom,, after my brother was killed. she lasted three months. RIP.. they are in God's hands now.. awesome song
If folks only realized why there are certain people here for this generation that can hear from angels and those from Heaven and Hell. They are few and far between. But Father has always had people here who can hear and see in the spirit. Not just Biblical times. We’re in the End Times, that’s why they’re here for this generation. Everyone will see soon. I pray for thise who disbelieve and are lost. They won’t be going home to be with Father. They’re going to the pit by there own choice
This was my first of many opportunities to see The Crowes live. Great show. Marc Ford’s band Burning Tree opened up at this show. Ultimately I’ve seen the Crowes live over 20 times here in ATL.
At least 4 or 5 breakups/reunions ago. I love these guys so much. Most of me wishes Chris & Rich could just get along & keep making music. But in an odd way, the Robinson brothers' career-long disputes are part of their appeal.
I've been to hundreds of shows seen these guys 5 times but by far one of the best shows i have ever was when they opened up their world tour supporting Southern harmony for 3 shows at the orphium theater in Minneapolis i was at the Saturday show and man let me tell u they blew the fucking roof off of the place definitely in my top 3 concerts of all time
After 27years..36 days clean!! God is great!! 🙏🙏🙏🕶👊👍
Amen
Soo Great 👍, God Bless You 🙌🙏

Stay that way!!God loves ya and so does your family. Hell I love ya and don't even know ya🤜🤛💯
Chris’s Singing is like a combination of Otis Redding and Rod Stewart.
Without question, one of the best Singers of his era.
And Cris Norman❤️
And he is so humble and Nice in intervews!!!!!!
Chris definitely has his own style of singing, which I think will survive the storm
And he’s definetly the nicest Musician in Rock And Roll!!!!!!!
He should go down as one of the best of all time for sure
I am of the opinion that the Black Crowes is in fact the last of the classic rock bands.
Just seen them in cincy. Best sound I heard in a long time.
@@Brevo77man, are you lucky 😢I had tickets to see the double bill of them and AEROSMITH and it didn’t come to pass

Rock and roll at its finest! Can't get enough of the "Crowes" in 2022! Have to keep coming back to this incredible live version.

Quite possibly the best song given to the world. Lyrically, instrumentally, performances, it is perfect. Moves me to my soul every time.
One of the best, without question!
Having Chuck L on keys is a very fortunate start for the Crowes - but wow did they take it from there.

Holy shit where have I been? This is perfection.
She never mentions the word addiction
In certain company
Yes, she'll tell you she's an orphan

And the cross is someone she has not met
