    This is my favourite tool. Jobs that used to take me an hour, I can do now in 15-20 mins.

      Yeah, the power of having the right tool for the job. And cutting the time by half is already a lot, and doing it in 1/3rd of the time, that makes a huge difference. I used to cut logs with reciprocating saw or track saw, or I would break it with a wedge. Now it's just so much quicker, safer and less tiring :-)

    For around the garden, Ryobi is a great brand, and very well priced! As a self-employed gardener, I use Husqvarna and Stihl equipment. They are rather expensive, but are the best you can get. That said, most people don't need that level of equipment!

      Thanks for the tips! I'm glad a seasoned gardener reassured us as I have no experience with other brands.

    I have a stihil and craftsman and am considering buying this just because I think it be so much easier taking small limbs off a ladder or small quantites of limbs, cutting small firewood, quick cuts, or having the wife or kids cut with.

      The size of it is a big advantage. It may be easier to climb a tree with this than try to reach high branches with the pole saw, for example. Or even trimming some bushes might be a quick job.

      @@KamilsTechTips I just bought one & just wanted the basics explained like you did in the 1st part of your video, for reassurance for a beginner using a chainsaw, after reading up on the Getting Started manual. I already use a Ryobi Cordless Line Trimmer which I put together myself from scratch. The chainsaw is basically ready to use, after few drops of bar & chain oil.

      @KamilsTechTips  10 місяців тому

      Aha. Ok. Thanks. Yes, it's ready to use. They did a really good job at Ryobi. For the trimmer, did you get yourself metal blades instead of the string?

    I bought this, works well but the only problem with it that the handle is too thick, I have small hands and after a while it starts to hurt my hand

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  2 місяці тому

      I think you are supposed to use both hands really. It is for short jobs anyway.

    The description for these says "Oil-Free" design. Yet, most mentioned it does need oil. Why is that? Do you have to use specifically a Bar Oil, or can I use any oil like 3in1 oil? Are there any other types of maintenance required for this? thx

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  3 місяці тому

      There is no place for oil in this saw, so I'm guessing the user needs to decide if oil is needed and pour a bit onto the chain as required. I guess any oil is better than none. I have not used it with oil yet, but I have not used it much anyway.

    What power battery did you use please

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  4 місяці тому

      5Ah HP battery. You can clearly see it in the video - I labelled the battery with a blue marker.

      I did not have a chance to use it much, so I can't tell. But the first time I was quite happy as per my video.

    How to put the oil on the saw?

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  3 місяці тому

      You are not supposed to, but you can just by pouring it directly onto the chain, as far as I know.

    • @hgodtx
      @hgodtx 3 місяці тому +1

      The Ryobi pole saw included a large oil tank and automatic oiling. So for this model, you'll have to get a bottle of oil that is convenient for your hand with a needle nose spout to squeeze oil directly on the bar.

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  3 місяці тому

      Yeah, that is a good idea.

    How do you clean this chainsaw, please

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  7 місяців тому +1

      You are not supposed to clean it. Just wipe of dirt with a cloth or tissue, and then apply some grease before use. The chain is fairly cheap, so you can replace it once in a while.

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  7 місяців тому +1

      Sorry, I misread - I thought you were asking about the chain. You can clean the saw with wipes or a wet cloth with a detergent. Normal stuff - just make sure water does not drip directly into the motor.

    Такие сучковатые полена такой пилой пилить точно не надо,если хотите чтобы она у вас долго поработала, от такой работы она быстро перегреется и может сгореть,лучше пилить обычные полена не более 7 см

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  8 місяців тому

      It did the job with no sweat, really. 7cm is tiny mini. This is a small chain saw for small jobs, but it does not mean tiny.

    This is the 6" model. They make a 8" model

    • @KamilsTechTips
      @KamilsTechTips  5 місяців тому

      This is the 15cm (or 6") model and is the longest in the UK. The 20cm model is build differently.
