Your drone work and editing is spot on Tom. I enjoy watching you all do your farm life and work. I do know it is not easy. long hours and blessing the rains when needed. hugs to you all.
Five years after selling, I miss my cows but I do not miss the never ending running around and putting out one fire after another. Life after dairy is low stress and awesome
@tinnie1835 I can promise you that there is life after Dairy. I miss my cows too, but I do not miss the headache that came with them. And I'll never give up the freedom of not having to take care of animals
Hi Tom and Dad ( With the tash ) Thank you for making me feel so welcome yesterday. and great to meet you both and two of your highland cattle. I know my donation towards the new cow shed was only a drop in the ocean. But every little helps hey? Will be back up to see you fingers crossed in October. Glad you liked saying hello to my Malamutes. New pup safely picked up and got home at 1:30 am. That is what you call an epic trip. over 700 miles in 22 hours. Keep up with the awesome videos. :-)
The excitement is now! Thomas, you are an inspiration to the next generation of England's future farmers akin to that fellow's grandson. Brilliant!, as you folk say...... I'm fairly sure you are inspiring Worldwide. We feel proud to be a part of the phenomenon.... Thank You for handling it all with grace & having it be just a part of your day......
Chopping hay videos are the best vids they never get old just like letting the cows out for the first time in the spring Tom has the happiest cows. Good job Tom and hello from the USA 🇺🇸.
Tight laces day! Gotta love a chopping video, and some awesome drone shots under the clamp roof Jack of how the muck rake works the crop. Thanks Tom and the team !
God bless you and your family, this year you will need a lot of food for your animals because from September weather will start getting very cold,we will have a very long and frosty winter, love your videos and much appreciate your work,,,, always a pleasure to see new video each time when you post it👍👍👍
Sure looked a good crop Tom, tidy work there by all involved. Excellent drone shots and filming. Finally - best wishes to you and Jo on your wedding day - when ever that is but I think it’s close.
Tom just a pointer mate when you tip those drums and you get that glugging to stop that tip the drum on it’s side as your pouring and it stops the glugging makes it easier 😁👍🏻
Great silage video the hurliman (can’t spell it) looked completely dwarfed by the first trailer but fair play it pulled it and looked comfortable doing it look forward to future videos Tom 👍🏻
Goodness just watching the drone shots of grass blowing out of the cart is giving me hayfever! Really impressed how you can stand right next to it. Love the easter egg at the end too!
Thank you for sharing your life with us. You and the the Ginger make me smile all the time. Will you use up the second clamp silage 1st to use up all the previous years harvest?
Hi Tom, my two sons love your videos (they met you in the summer last year) and would like to know what the songs are in this video. Congratulations on your wedding too! Thank you! Lisa x
Thank you so much for all of the support and for wondering where I am. I'm still working at Pembertons, but decided to share a slice of my life online moving forward (mad for CrossFit). Super excited to start my 5-year Veterinary Science degree in September, so it's really important to have space/time to focus on my academics. I decided to therefore stop sharing my farming/veterinary journey online, as it is a huge step ahead of me with big changes to navigate offline without putting extra pressure on myself. I love farming, and always will. Grateful for all of the support on UA-cam for the past 2 years which have given me so much confidence moving forward, sure you'll see me again. Head down and working hard to qualify as a vet, but also lift big weights on the side (happy for you to come along if fitness interests you, but please don't expect any cows or vet school updates as I've made the decision to graft away without sharing that on a platform). Had the best time with Heidi.Vet, life will be crazy and stressful at university, so it's about finding sustainable healthy balance :D I hope this explains everything, no beef! A virtual step back, ready for a huge step forward.
@@heidiwilson8301 heh Heidi, hope stuff is great on your break and cant wait to see you again And enjoy veterinary degree Hopefully your study goes the right direction And cant wait to see you back in the vlogs
Always like seeing the grass chopper. When you get drone footage of it chapp'n it kinda looks like a lego or playmobile toy :) Thanks for all the videos and good luck with all the improvements! So excited for you and ginge!
Wish I had a paddock with such lush grass. Good job guys getting all that feed in. Pity you didn't vlog your morning with the new calf and rounding up your cows getting them back in.
Funky and uplifting music today! Love it. Now Tom....... do you think we'll be able to get in that Claus cab this year or have I got to wait for another year? I know you've got stuff going on but i think this really should be a priority in your schedule.......get onto it.......... pahahahahahaa 😂😂
Ash isn’t daft Tom made perfect business sense asking if he could come last time to “try it out” he knows the script and that thing will pay for itself no end 😉👍🏼
Non farmer question...how long does the grass cut last in the silo..you said at the back it was from two years ago... I know difficult to rotate.but does it go manky?
What's the major advantage with putting the clamp under a roof as oppose to outside, like ireland. Is it just to keep try during feeding out at winter!? Great video
My question is, with new silage always being put at the front, will they ever get to that 2 year old silage? 🤔 Does the older silage age like fine wine?
As a farmer myself they'll try and keep it as long as possible but they dont want it there to long otherwise it'll go bitter and nasty at my farm if thats the case we just throw it away somewhere or put it on the heap
So cool to the difference from eastern and western farms, for you, the 130 is a decently sized tractor, but for me, I’m Saskatchewan, Canada, a decent sized tractor is around the 500 mark!
Hey do you guys use anything to take compaction out of the ground after doing a bunch of hauling across a field with a small subsoiler that doesn't disturb the grass on top and just slits the ground on top
Hi Tom, great video with great music and a great team to help get your silo in for the end of your first cut and I am looking forward to seeing more of the same from your channel as well as everything else that you have going on on your farm.
I find it funny that a lot of silage pits in the UK have roofs on it and you use tip trailers. A lot of the silage pits in the US don't have roofs yet we don't use tip trailers we use trailers with a moveable floor. Seems pretty opposite to me.
I absolutely love cutting, tedding, chopping and putting it in the clamp. Don't know why but I love watching that!!
If i stop milking i will miss my cows cause they are my love of life but it would bring me a better life/less stress so i dont know what too do?
what causes so many fires to occur?
It's a metaphor it means that there is one problem after another when you own a dairy farm @siruser23
@tinnie1835 I can promise you that there is life after Dairy. I miss my cows too, but I do not miss the headache that came with them. And I'll never give up the freedom of not having to take care of animals
A full silo is a wonderful thing too look at. That roller sure is interesting. Thanks for taking us along

Great vid Tom, as always, bet the ginger guy enjoy himself. All the best with the wedding to yourself and Jo!

Those cows keep you hopping, Tom! I am not a farmer, and never seen such huge pieces of equipment! Love your videos!
Tom love the music and watching your videos. From the USA Oregon keep it up
Nice lot of grass there tom. The pit is looking really good. We haven’t even put a mower on the ground yet… won’t stop raining down here 🤦♂️
Great video Tom, teamwork makes the dream work 🚜🐄

Awesome to see how you work and manage your farm. Im still a massey boy though
Good job explaining everything
Good conversation
Love the video Tom keep up the good work
Loved the video nearly as much as you enjoyed making it keep the videos coming and Happy Farming
Tom , the Irish mowed, tedded & drew in your silage, only for us eh 😉😉
Brilliant video Tom, thank you 👍
I like the roller that’s tramping the silage that will be a thing in the future I loved the silage time when you are kept bisy well done you all
It would be great to hear about the differences in the new fields vs the old ones. Seeing Lytham Hall alone is worth something
Hi Tom, my two sons love your videos (they met you in the summer last year) and would like to know what the songs are in this video. Congratulations on your wedding too! Thank you! Lisa x
How's Heidi coping with all that is going on? Update? Just haven't seen or even heard her for ages.
jimmy75256 Ya she was going to vet School right?
always think of heidi a great worker never shy of doing hard graft
@@farmerfrank5403 if so it would make sense for her to go to Liverpool university as most vets in the more northern part of the uk go there

What a shot of raking in front of the hall , hope rest of the cut fits and all is good x

holy smokes tons of action start to finish. Never a slow day on the farm. Curious how you got the out of the parlour and how it fell in.
cow out of the parlour
becoming a nice set up over the road tom, couple of other sheds gone up since you featured the big shed
Great video Tom lots of grass on that cut mate
Fantastic amount of silage hope the guy with the ginger mooooustash is happy x
Alot of hard work on this day THOMAS good job my friend
Hi tom what are the dimensions of the shed that covers the silage slab that u just walked around in ?
Hi Tom can you please show us the new barn and how the new silo is coming along.
great video that time of year already that would make a great picture the case and chopper next to each other with lytham hall in the background.
Wow what a crop. Thank you.
Brilliant video silage videos are my absolute favourite 👍
The saying you're looking for is team work makes the dream work. 😂
@Jim Stockdale said if there is a good seal between the old and new it can last years, with some wastage at the edges.
What's the major advantage with putting the clamp under a roof as oppose to outside, like ireland. Is it just to keep try during feeding out at winter!? Great video
5:54 is crazy seeing no farm there - been here since 100k and it's crazy to see it gone!!! It's gonna be so cool with a new building up 👍🤟
Case pulls out massy when massy 4 wheel drive is broken love your videos Tom keep it up
Great videos keep it up 👍
My question is, with new silage always being put at the front, will they ever get to that 2 year old silage? 🤔 Does the older silage age like fine wine?

Great job by all the guys there
Invest in some Heavy duty tow straps. Not funny when a chain snaps. 🤙
@cathal mulled farmer - are you alright now, Cathal, or are you indecisive? Right about straps.
random question, what backpack do you have? i need one for work and all i can ever find make me look like i'm going back to school....
Very nice video 👍
The yard over the road looks so different now from what it used too. Are the new landlords keeping it as a farm?
3:05 "have I gone too big? probably" - that's what she said!
Love your music......very good video!!

Compactor smashed it 🙂👌
Great video Tom.
What manor house is that? I’ve seen it before
Hi Tom, great video with great music and a great team to help get your silo in for the end of your first cut and I am looking forward to seeing more of the same from your channel as well as everything else that you have going on on your farm.
Question. What are the green signs on the front of the new sheds over the road? Shed makers name?
I find it funny that a lot of silage pits in the UK have roofs on it and you use tip trailers. A lot of the silage pits in the US don't have roofs yet we don't use tip trailers we use trailers with a moveable floor. Seems pretty opposite to me.
😂
how heavy is grass and how hard are the tractors working pulling it?
3 tonnes of grass weighs 3 tonnes.
this year's silage over on top of last years??
