Man Sam Lake/Remedy gave us everything we wanted: physical release, more quirky DLC, Jesse for the Control freaks that want to see the Remedyverse expanded (I'm one of those ) and a shadow drop of the DLC. It wasn't just a great announcement but also a considerate one.
People need to watch these with realistic expectations. If you feel disappointed you were expecting too much. It wasn’t too bad of an event. It had a little bit of everything. Video was good too.
I feel ya. I consume MinnMax to get my gaming fix since time for gaming just isn’t in the cards. It’s a bummer that this panel brought cool kid from high school energy. I’m in the events scene and it’s a beast to pull anything off anymore and get the moving parts and companies and deals all working. Also I play maybe a few games a year so it’s just fun for me to see cool trailers all in one spot.
I thought it was decent. I think as others have said people need to temper their expectations. None of the big boys are ever going to drop a reveal because they have their own events. However I thought Horizon Lego was a fun drop, and as an IP pairing it makes a lot of sense. Good to see KCD II drop an unapologetically Chad trailer. Delta Force looked a little rough, but they did say it was early footage and so that was cool. Civ7 solid announcement. Ultimately at the end of the day Geoff puts it out there and asks publishers to provide them with trailers etc, so they have to work with what they are given. It's not like they'll holding back on stuff.
Personally I don't think there was anything huge shown. Like the big opener of a lego horizon game was pretty weak but there were a lot of interesting smaller titles. Slitterhead in particular stood out to me as well as cairn, kunitsu-gami and kingdom come 2. Plus alan wake 2 dlc available so soon was pretty darn exciting. All in all a pretty solid show
No. If you look into the details, most of the games were free to play/MMO/multiplayer stuff. Games like Neva are still getting praise. - Too many uninteresting, sometimes downright generic mp games like Delta Force: Hawk Ops were focused on. - *Skate* didn't look too good. Hate the free-to-play GAAS concept for it. We want Skate 4. - *Slitherhead* was disappointing. - Loads of cinematic anime trailers that had nothing to do with the game ... Battle Aces. - Too many lengthy ads It was definitely the worst Summer Game Fest. The Devolver Digital Presentation was more enjoyable for me.
@@jacobw3120 Thanks. I always try to be as transparent as possible. It was an educated guess assuming someone wouldn't ask something they already knew. If that guess was incorrect, then my next guess is that it was a rhetorical question.
@@jacobw3120 I had the opposite experience. There were points where I had trouble hearing the crew over the show. I think I also wore headphones when watching this.

Leo’s “Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards” joke after that Among Us TV clip was 100% spot-on.
That blumhouse segment was cool. Their movies are pretty cheesy but their matra futs the indie vibe and the ideas look fresh.
A "the invisible hand will correct itself" angle with all the layoffs
I agree with Sarah. I'm way more interested in Lego Horizon than normal Horizon lol
Leo popping for Starry when Starry Studios came on screen broke me lol

I see what you mean, bit it's okay to be disappointed. I don't think anyone was stewing about it
200% agree with you I enjoyed the show
Terry being in SFvi is one of the biggest things in gaming in 20 years easily
So is it cannon that Alloy doesn't like any condiments on her hot dog?
Great job everyone!
The ad for that mobile game towards the end was my favorite part of this show, no joke. Killer Bean was also good
58:41 RIP to all the folks that get unslittered halfway down after being yeeted from a rooftop

Most of the ppl complaining only buy a few Triple-A games a year

Wish the gamefest stream was a little more quite so i can everyone not trying to be a meanie
Do they turn the volume of the show up...at some point?
Yes, at about 8:20. I guess you didn't make it very far.
@@KamasamaK That's true. You are definitely guessing.

@@KamasamaK That's fair. I did eventually finish it with headphones. It never got quite loud enough for me to hear it with my poor laptop speaker.

Soul Calibur VII gameplay reveal trailer should be shown
Killer bean w
Sonic w
BEAN
That street fighter reaction wasn’t genuine! How dare you booooooo. 😅
The worst confrance ever
This is by far the worst generation if games I hope I ever have to bear witness too
yikes
lol that was AWFUL.
Keighley lost the magic.
Geoff doesn't create the games. Geoff is not responsible for the "magic" you expect from the videogames industry. Things are changing. It's ok.
@@kulturvultur5036Geoff is responsible for putting on a showcase that doesn’t stink.

So disappointing, totally lost the magic of showing trailers for games

Geoff needs to go!!
Because the others did such a better job hosting?
