The writers used to do that on Chicago Fire with Severide and Casey I think in seasons 1-6 there'd always be an arc where they were at each other's throats, tho obviously the stakes were usually different
My problem with Jay is that he wants to be a role model cop when it comes to anyone else but when he got jammed up, he called Voight before anyone else.
what bothers me is that Voight pretty much exiled Hailey to New York for a stunt exactly like this one, and then he turns around and does the same thing, and he hasn't even the balls to own up to his hypocrisy
What bothered me was the whole storyline that Haley was having this whole panic attack crisis over shooting Roy when she was doing just slaphappy fine when she organized the execution of Darius Walker. Based on her past, that whole storyline made no damn sense and nobody seems to realize that…
@@LotsofLisa I think it’s different because she actively choose to do the first thing and this one was kinda an accident and also she is trying to be a better cop so it’s hitting her harder
@@LotsofLisa It's a lot different when you actually pull the trigger rather than having others pull it for you, it doesn't matter how the latter gets there, someone still makes the choice ot finish that job you set up
Fedrico incorrect. There was no exile. He was keeping her from imploding because the writing was on the wall, that she couldn't handle it. So he "reset" her.
If Voight really wants his unit to be role model cops then he must step down, because as long as he's in charge they will always be tainted by his presence.
EXACTLY! OH my god! I don’t know why people act like they don’t remember how the Sergeant Hank Voight character was born. He was two steps away from being a comic book villain!
would they be able to write in a storyline where the fact that Voight's in charge of the unit is the fault of the brass who failed to either do anything about him, gave him his job back or failed to pin it on him again and again?
Hank is a dirty cop period. Since the moment he came on screen at Chicago Fire trying to have firefighter Casey harassed, assaulted even murdered to save his worthless son. And everybody who knew or even heard about Hank knew it. Same with Antonio, he knew. Yet they all chose to work with him and always act surprised when things aren’t by the book... You KNEW what it was!.. what he is!… Jay’s high and mighty attitude has always been exhausting to me.
jay knows what's what an trys to do things his own way. hank said it right there is no proof to show other wise so what can they do make Voight even more dirty lol. now I don't remember this episode very well so if I'm wrong sorry but hank does whats right even if its the wrong way.
@@joewhitehead3 but Hank was proud of that. That's why when he saw what he was getting into, he snatched him up & dropped him off at the recruiting office.
The show is starting to lose coherence, Jay acts like that, gets offended by Voight's corruption then he turns around and accepts it? This is destroying Jay's character and completely out of character for him...
Voight also has to earn his team's trust. WE KNOW that there are many times they are uncomfortable with his approach. he acts like they just have to do what he wants versus being conscious of their being uncomfortable.
I always get a batman and robin vibe from Voight and Halstead. Halstead even took a step back from the police force because he was becoming like Voight and it scared him. Their relationship is very interesting.
It was a good shoot. I just can’t shake the feeling that Hank set Haley up to shoot Roy because she wouldn’t let Hank kill him. And Hank never learns! He did the same exact thing with Roy he did with his sons killer. Next thing you know they find the body anyway and Al’s dead… He’s not good at his “dirty cop murder thing” anymore. He needs to stop.
Please everyone questions Voight. Why not Jay. Burgress through Justin in his face. Just so she could work her sister's case. It's how that unit works. Jay is my favorite, and it was a setup. So Jay was pointing out the truth 🤔. Hello
Jay is one of the many reasons I slowly stopped watching the show. He complains about everything Voight does, what’s right and wrong, only to turn around and call on Voight when necessary. Jay’s problem is that he wanna control everything and he can’t so he wanna act out. Like sir, please go somewhere.
Everything Voight does is to protect the city & the people he cares about. But he tells his fellow officers that they’re not him. That he does want them to be like him
For me this show jumped the shark. Voight klls a guy, Al goes to jail and dies for it. Antonio kills a guy, Ruzak goes to jail for it. Now Haley kills a guy due to Voight again. Who will go to jail or kill a guy next? Its redundant and stupid at this point. Voight continues to walk unscathed, which is not believable. It has lost its reality. I THE show has become an insult to its audience. My last episode was when Haley had to shoot the guy Voight accidently on purpose forced her to. He obviously forgot his actions are why his only friend was killed in jail. I became tired of the repetitive storylines with different people.
Those guys they killed were not innocent victims. They were cold-blooded rapists, murderers & psychos. Voight killed the guy who murdered his son. Antonio killed the guy who kidnapped & raped his daughter. Hailey killed a human trafficker who shot Kim
@@joewhitehead3 I understand and agree with you about who was killed and why, my point was the narrative doesn't change. For the right or wrong reason someone is killed by someone in the unit and then the investigation begins. You rightfully cite why they were killed. All of the series are about police violation, crime and torture during its seasons. This is a piece if sh.t show! I'm surprised, that this show still running instead of cancellation.
